We bought a house, yay! We bought a fancy new clothes dryer for the house, yay! And even sprung for delivery and installation, double-yay! Installer took a good look at the 3.5" ABS venting pipe hook-up and said "this isn't standard, you might have some trouble". Then, hooked up the dryer. The dryer complained about poor venting, but still ran. And then I noticed that we needed to leave 6" inches of space behind the dryer, for the dryer hose. And I could only open the dryer door halfway. And that there was an obscene amount of lint in the output vent. Boo, double-boo, and triple-boo. OK, I can take a hint -- the dryer vent needed to be looked at / probably at least partially replaced. Not a huge job, but also not something I wanted to leave to generic handyman or duct cleaning service. I reached out to a few HVAC/ducting folks; IAT returned my email promptly (crickets from everyone else, maybe too small a job?). Andy came out on a Sunday (wow!), and I walked through what I knew. He then took a good look at both ends of the vent, and pointed out that the exit vent actually seemed to be flexible aluminum hose, further causing issues with lint getting trapped. A day or so later, he provided me with a quote for the job (very reasonable!), which included a full dryer vent replacement and adding a dryer box, so that I'd be able to reclaim some of the space behind the dryer. I accepted the quote, and his team was out a couple weeks later to take care of the job. As other have mentioned, drop cloths, booties, and masks were the norm. They did a great job cleaning up after themselves, and even ran the vacuum while cutting into the drywall, to minimize dust. As it turns out, there was a kinda tricky turn -- probably why the previous installers went with flexible tube -- but the team creatively constructed the appropriate turns with the rigid ducting, and did the full replacement (see the "after" pics). The dryer is no longer complaining, and it's now within an inch or two of the back wall, thanks to the dryer box. Overall, I'm very happy with their work, and if I even need AC installed, I know who my first call will be. read more

I'm one of those people that when I buy something I try to familiarize myself with the project at hand before the job starts. Andrew was more than patient with my wife and my multiple questions thru out the process and channeled the job with our interests in mind and not just what was easiest for them. They were totally meticulous and cleaned up better than could be expected when the job was completed. I don't write reviews often, but I am very thankful to Andrew for doing a great job on the HVAC in our house from start until finish that I felt I should this time. Our heating system was not working well and we were spending a lot on electrical floor units, the temperature in the house was not great, and we did not have AC for hot days. He installed an HVAC system that works very well and our house is much cozier and comfortable now temperature wise. He also gave me a lower price than the quotes I got before, and I found that he was able to place the minisplits in better places, less visible and more blended in. He also handled the permit process smoothly, and came to repair a minisplit right away when some roof work broke it. I highly recommend Andrew and his company to other customers. read more

Our AC stopped blowing air several weeks before summer. We put off repairing it because the weather was nice, but then our newborn son was born early! The costumer service is amazing. I live several hours away from my elderly uncle, and his AC went out. I would rather do business in person in order to get to know the person I'm dealing with, but didn't have the time to drive over there. I gave this company a call, not knowing what to expect, and was happy to discover that the long distance communication was easy. They inspected my uncle's AC system and discovered it was only a capacitor that needed to be fixed. They could have had told me that the whole system needed to be replaced and I would have never known. It's good to know there are still some trustworthy companies out there. read more

First of all, Andrew and his team were awesome!! He was the first one to respond to my yelp request within 5min which showed how much he wanted to get back to potential clients. I told him that my one of my zones in a two zone A/C system was working. He fit me in his busy schedule and came by 3 days later when every other company didnt respond until a day later or they couldnt see me for two weeks. He came with his team and they were very respectful and kind. They both wore a mask, had tarps to cover the floors, covered our clothes with a tarp because the crawl space was located in our walk-in closet, and had shoe covers so they dont dirty our floors. He did a temp fix for it to work properly but he had said that he would need to come back another day because it would be a bigger job. He needed to buy/order some parts and build a couple new aluminum boxes with new dampers to save me money which is always good. He said the house builders created a cheap fiberglass box which was causing problems with the cheap dampers. When I had seen what was originally there, the fiberglass box was really cheap and flimsy. He quoted me with a good price and came by a week later (but would have came by earlier but it was his wedding weekend) to install the new boxes and dampers. He also had cleaned and vacuumed up around the areas where they had been working. Overall, great job, honest prices, and awesome service!! If anything happens with our house HVAC system, we will give him a call. Now, I have a go to HVAC person on my contact list and he will be my main guy if I need anything. Word to the wise: clothes dryer vents are super critical. My dryer stopped working because a bird built a nest in the vent. A friend of mind found that rats used the vent as a pathway into the house. When others weren't even willing to look at my damaged vent hood, Andy came out to take a look and agreed to take on the job. His guy came out at the appointed time and did a thorough, excellent job. Our home is old, and we decided that with more and more really hot days each year, we should install central A/C. I was a little concerned about how the installation of the new furnace and A/C unit would go inside the house, and how much the outside unit would fit in our narrow driveway. I am writing this review because Andy and his team did a very good job installing all of the equipment. His workmanship (which we see every time we are in our driveway) was top notch, and looks great. He was very good to work with, and very considerate during the construction (e.g. they put down a floor covering whenever they were working inside the house). He provided top quality Carrier equipment and we are very excited about the Ecobe thermostat, and the portable wireless thermostat that we can move to the room that we are in to optimize the temperature management. I cannot echo the comments left by others more forcibly! I called Andrew one day, and he was able to be at my home the next day. I will not mention where I live because I don't want others to think he'll automatically go as far from his home base as he did for me, but I did insist that I pay for the extra travel time (and you should, too!) I could not get my original installer to come for SIX weeks! He found the problem immediately and was smart to have the replacement part on his truck! He has years of experience but has only recently started his own company, and he will do terrifically! One of the nicest and professional guys I have ever met...regardless the line of work! No doubt his business will grow and grow, and he may not be able to take care of you as fast as he could me, but if you're not in dire straights he's worth the wait! Thank you, Andrew! I had to come on here and give credit where credit is due! A little history first... After 2 failed attempts to go through my home warranty to fix my furnace (one company who never showed up and a second company that tried to take advantage of us and told the warranty company we needed all these expensive unnecessary parts with no eta). I went searching on my own and ran across Indoor Air Technologies they answered immediately. I told them what was going on and told them what the other company said it was he said no it shouldn't be that based off what you said but we will send someone out to look at it. They sent a tech out to troubleshoot the very next day. Andy was great! Very Professional, he showed up on time with white glove service and within an hour he troubleshooted, educated us, fixed our furnace and replaced our thermostats! The price was extremely reasonable so I gave him a nice tip. He even followed up to make sure everything was still running smoothly weeks later and of course it was. I recommend Indoor Air Technologies to all my family and friends. I even told the warranty company they should use them. I'm very pleased. If I could give 10 stars I would they saved us a ton of money by just being an honest professional company and I appreciate it. read more
