I decided to make an appointment one day to get my eyebrows treated by Salma. Due to covid and living in Brooklyn,NY not many beauty salons have appointments available or just aren't open, and I'm so happy that the drive was worth it! When I arrived they were easy to find off the route and had an accessible parking lot! When I finally made it inside the salon was beautiful and super clean. Hand sanitizer available on entry and mask is required by all employees! Now let's get to Salma! I booked Salma for brow services which included threading and shaping. I loved how detail oriented she was, she mapped out my brows before threading! Super sweet and made the appointment comfortable. My upper eyeliner would not hold, and Debora, the owner blamed me, claiming that a medication that I stopped taking over 12 months ago was the reason my eyeliner would not take! If such information is important, she should be assessing at intake the medications that clients have taken over the last 12 months, but she does not. Debora told me that I would have to wait several months and pay $200 to fix my botched upper eyeliner. What nerve! Now I'm stuck looking horrible. And to top it off, she didn't even care in the least. She just had a nasty attitude and raised her voice at me. I have reported this establishment to the Better Business Bureau. Debora is not only rude, but she also makes up lies about her customers to cover up her mistakes. UPDATE: Debora simply replies to my post with more lies. I mistakenly misquoted the name of the medication that I used months ago, and I NEVER USED Retin-A in my life. I showed her proof from my medical records of the actual medication I had used. Second, I was NOT using any medication on my face when I came in for my procedures. Notice in her response how Debora changes from referring to my mediation as Retin-A to adapalene, showing that she is inconsistent and does not pay attention. I told her OVER AND OVER again at the times of my services I was NOT using any retinoids. She stated that the effects of retinoids last 12 months in the blood, contrary to what medical experts state. A simple internet search would indicate that you only need to wait two weeks after Retina-A for permanent makeup. Debora's even claimed she did not have knowledge of all retinoids, and states that it is NOT her responsibility to have such knowledge. If retinoids affect the services she provides, of course it is HER RESPONSIBILITY to have knowledge of these medications!!!!! Again, as I stated before, if Debora wants to argue that retinoids can affect the quality of permanent makeup for up to 12 months after use, then it is HER RESPONSIBILITY at intake to assess any medications that clients have taken over the last 12 months, but she does not. This is clear NEGLIGENCE on her part! Since this time, my lower eyeliner has stripped off. I went to another microblading place and was told from the after-photos of Debora's work that Debora NEVER IMPLANTED the ink into my skin, so it was no wonder that my upper and lower eyeliners disappeared. This was evident by the fact that the upper and lower eyeliners were shiny on my skin. In addition, Debora provided me with NO AFTERCARE! So, not only did I have to humiliated by Debora, but I also had to pay over $1000 for a botched upper and lower eyeliner job! Debora's main problems are her sloppy technique, her lack of knowledge about medications that affect the very procedures she performs, and the fact that does not listen and lacks people skills. I've also had to return several times for touch-ups on my mircroblading because Kira would continuously miss leave patchy spots in my brows. I would have to ask her during each session to touch certain places that she had left empty. She would take a very long time doing the microblading and told me not to worry about any empty patches, as they would shade in. By the time my eyebrows would heal, they also still be patchy. I asked for MICROBLADING but Kira kept TATTOOED part of my eyebrow. This is what I was coming in to continuously attempt to get this fixed and had to pay $120 four separate times for touch-ups that were utter fails. Now it looks like someone drew on part of my eyebrow with a sharpie. Debora has since harassed me via email, despite my requests for her not to contact me ever again. I had to block her from my email account. How unprofessional, trying to use intimidation tactics. Debora thinks she is above everyone and can treat clients like garbage. And her services are WAY OVERPRICED compared to other providers in the area. read more

I was really apprehensive about having my eyebrows done. I didn't really know what to expect, and was nervous that it wouldn't look good and I'd be stuck with it. I think a big part of it was that I struggled to imagine how I'd look with different eyebrows. This wasn't the cheapest provider I found, but looked the most professional and had some great Google reviews (plus why would you go to the cheap place with your looks on the line?). I finally scheduled a consultation to meet with Debora to discuss my options. The entire operation was very professional. The office was beautiful and well appointed, and they went overboard in a good way with Covid safety (the front desk girl took my temperature and everything). Debora was very friendly and knowledgeable. She went over my options and made lots of recommendations on the color and shape that would look best on me based on her experience. I felt much better after meeting with her and seeing what a successful establishment it appeared to be. The actual procedure went better than I'd expected, and Debora and her staff prepared me for what to expect and do post-treatment and were always there for me when I had questions. Here I am months later and I'm super happy that I did it. The improvement in my appearance is better than I'd hoped, and got even better after the touch-up. I've received tons of compliments, and several of my friends are now customers after prying Debora's info from me. read more

Just got my second touch up with Kira and I really could not be happier with my results ! I had no idea what shape or color would be good for me and she's incredible with knowing exactly what would work for your face. Also , as a nurse I can say everything was super clean, sterile and packaged and the office was very inviting. The staff were great as well. This place is great, the office is decorated very nicely, everyone that works there is super kind and accommodating. I got my eyebrows done by Karen, she was great and addressed all my concerns when it came to eyebrow threading. I got my tint done by Veronica and she made sure that the tint was exactly how I wanted it, never batted an eyelash when I was continuously asking different questions. I went to Debora to get my eyebrows done (this was about 4 yrs ago). Firstly, I was surprised to find that my appointment was going to be at her house. Online there was a website with an actual salon/clinic location so that was a bit off putting (would have been nice if she had advised me of this beforehand). My eyebrows are pretty full to begin with. My issue was that they were uneven. I explained this to Debora and advised that the unevenness was what I was looking to fix. She said ok and proceeded to microblade my eyebrows (my mistake was not asking to see the outline/pattern she drew on my brows). When she showed me what she did I was in shock and short of tears. Not at all addressing my concern. Giving me thick eyebrows and going too low underneath my brow line/arch (I looked like Bert and Ernie). Not to mention they were uneven (when she texted me to check in I told her the brows were uneven and she said they no weren't ). When I got home I immediately started washing my brows to get rid of the hideousness. Unfortunately, 4 years later, and I'm still stuck with the pigment underneath my brow line/arch. She was a nice lady and I'm sure does a good job for many but she didn't listen to me and my concerns, didn't advise what she would be doing and ultimately botched my eyebrows and I'm still staring at random pigment underneath my eyebrow. read more

I want to start off by saying that I am extremely happy with how my eyebrows came out. At first I was so nervous ,like most people, about getting my eyebrows microbladed. I worried if my eyebrows would turn out uneven, too thick, too thin,too dark or even too light. So I read all of Deb's reviews on Google (which were all positive), and met up with her for a consultation. After speaking to her in person I felt so much more at ease. When I went the first time she took her time to measure where my eyebrows should be, numbed the area, and discussed eyebrow shape and color. She reassured me throughout the procedure and everything she used was single use only. During the procedure she showed me my eyebrows, to see if I was satisfied with how they were coming out. When I saw what they looked like I was ecstatic!!! They were beautiful!! I recently went for my touch up( which is a must no matter where you go) and they are absolutely beautiful!!
