I had a friend do my hair one time and of course it was a horrific mistake which then I needed Sarah to fix and of course she fixed it and made sure that I understood how and why my hair was so damaged. Her individual salon was a bit hard to find at first but becomes easy to remember- I'm definitely coming back when I'm in town again. Sarah is awesome and I was referred to her by an entire family of men and women who all use her (so she's good with girls and guys!). I have super thick, un-color-treated blond hair and she cut it flawlessly without taking more off than I wanted (something I always have a problem with). She is super friendly and well networked so we also found that we had a few friends in common while she was trimming my hair, she's very easy to talk to and the small location makes it a little less hectic than your usual salon. I am new to the Temecula area and was desperately searching for a new hair stylist. I am very picky about my hair and wanted to make sure I found the right person. I decided to search on Yelp and came upon many possibilities. In reading the many comments, I came upon one that was consistent throughout. All the comments at Heaven salon were highly complementary of Sarah. Not only of her work but her character. I decided to give it a try. I called and left a message for Sarah. Although it took a few days to hear from her, she did return my call and had a good reason for the delay. She was able to book me within a reasonable time with such a short notice. I went to the Heavens salon for the first time on Friday. Consultation with Sarah was great, she talked me through every stage of the cut and then did exactly what she said she would. She understood exactly what I was aiming for and what my hair needed and advised me throughout. The staff are really friendly and helpful. As soon as I arrived I was greeted by both Sarah and her assistant Kelly. Sarah was working on another patron but took a few seconds to warmly greet me. Kelly proceeded to wash my hair and I must say was fabulous! The head and neck massage were just right and of course one of my favorite parts of the service. They made me feel welcome and did not make me feel pressure to have any type of service. I highly recommend Sarah at Heavens salon. You will not be disappointed. I've had my hair cut by my stylist for over 6yrs. I decided to try Heavens Salon based on all the reviews, and trying to find a new stylist in the area so that I wouldn't drive the hr drive just to see my stylist in Carlsbad. When I went Sarah is such a sweetheart and was truly inviting. Although she was running late on my apt. Anyways, she listened to what I wanted and then repeated her own interpretation of what needed to be done. I told her I wanted to grow out my hair, and that I liked having layers but not being noticeable when I didn't style my hair. I told her how my other hair stylist my hair, and she proceeded to tell me how she cut my hair the wrong way,and that she was going to do it the right way. Well I told her I love how my hairstylists cuts my hair...So she just chuckled and said ok. Well she continued to cut my hair, and it was nothing like what I had described to her...Her technique was not the same, I had asked her to use the straight scissor razor method, she did not. My hair looked like I had just cut it at Great Clips. Not Salon worthy...I was totally bummed and disappointed that I didn't travel the hr to go see my stylist in Carlsbad. I was in a panic as I drove home from my normal salon after just receiving the worst haircut of my life. My stylist of 7 years is on maternity leave so someone filled in for her and butchered my hair! I was in tears...yelping for a stylist near my house and hoping someone could squeeze me in with no notice. I called 4 stylists with 5 stars and left messages for them all. Another 5 star review for Sarah!! I made an appointment for a cut and color based on all the fantastic reviews she has gotten on Yelp. One review in particular sealed the deal for me. I have trust issues when it comes to finding a hairstylist, probably because I ended up with a horrendous mullet after having my hair cut by a "master stylist" a few years ago. Also, not many stylists out there know how to cut asian hair. So a yelp reviewer recommended Sarah because she is familiar and comfortable with doing asian hair. The salon is cozy and nicely decorated; nice ambiance. Sarah is a sweetheart. She makes you feel at ease immediately, as if you are old friends, and is really interested in finding out how you normally style your hair, your preferences, and based on that, makes suggestions. It was nice to bounce ideas back and forth. My color came out gorgeous; my locks have never looked so shiny!
