I don't usually leave bad reviews but we were really disappointed with Oncore. We live in Wauseon…read moreand needed somewhere close to go have a few beers at. We rarely drink anymore but my father-in-law just passed away and we needed to just unwind after years of caring for him. We got to Oncore at about 3:30 on a Sunday. We found out once we got there that there was no food but the food truck would arrive at 5:00. There was no way we could drink on an empty stomach so we went to a nearby restaurant to eat and came back. We absolutely love beer flights and have done them enough over the years that we know you're gonna love some and hate them. We ordered 7 different ones and only liked 1 of them. We do lean towards the ciders so we ordered the Blackberry & Valencia orange one, the juniper berry & begonia, the apple & blue raspberry, the s'mores, the regular blonde, a red and one other one I can't remember. We knew we were rolling the dice with the begonia and blue raspberry but the others should have been drinkable even if we didn't like them. Overall they were WAY too sweet and overpowering. This coming from a girl that drinks Venti Carmel Macchiatos. I love thick fall beers like vanilla, peanut butter and chocolates but the s'mores smelled & tasted like burnt coffee. My husband and I have VERY different beer tastes so it's usually he likes one and I don't and vice versa but this time we both couldn't find one we liked enough to order. I even tried to convince him to order the more standard beers just to see and he refused bc he didn't want to waste the money. The other thing that was really disappointing was the service. The girl behind the bar was super friendly and nice but the whole process was off putting. When we first walked in she never greeted us. We stood there for a few minutes and finally had to walk up to her and ask how this worked. In order to order you have to go up to the bar to do it. Once our order was ready she yelled over to us to come and get our drinks, There were only 5 other older couples in the entire bar. At that capacity she could have brought them over to us. I worked at a bar and there's no way I would have yelled over at a customer like that. Now on a busy, jam packed night I get it - kinda - but a night like that it made us feel like a nuisance instead of customers on their first visit (which she knew). There were other things that were self serve and it just felt weird. Like I said, maybe on a busy night it would be different but being able to adapt to capacity and creating a good experience is just part of running a bar. The table was incredibly wobbly and so I had my husband ask for napkins to prop it up and she handed him two paper towels. Once we'd tried all of the drinks and were ready to leave we had no idea whether or not we were responsible for bussing the tables too? We were embarrassed that we could barely drink the drinks so we just got up and left. Overall we were pretty disappointed. There's not a lot of options out here so we get used to taking what you get but to have one be a total bust sucked. If they adjusted the sweetness/overpowering flavors and the business model a bit, they'd have the potential to bring in a lot more business.

We asked to talk to the manager he came out with an attitude mad as hell banned us from the property because we just simply wanted an explanation on why somebody on the phone told us 3 minutes earlier that they were open till 9:00 and they had a full restaurant full of people still eating.. this dude should not be in the food service or manager or any kind of industry... We drove from Stony Ridge Ohio to eat here to have us get turned back around within 3 minutes of getting to restaurant.. he caused a big old scene like he was Mr macho I bet he felt really good about himself... I'm glad we got it banned from there because I would never support a business ran like this..

Nobody came to seat us, so we sat down at the first table inside the door by the desk. We sat there for almost 7 minutes and then got up and left. Nobody came to our table. The only part that was busy was the bar area. Those people all kept getting served right away. There was only one booth that had any people sitting. They weren`t busy. We were there around 4:30. So I guess if you want to go to a place and get ignored when they are NOT busy, Mil Pouch is the place to go. We usually get good service when we go there. Not sure when we will ever go back there.

Mad Anthony's: A Dive Bar That Feels Like Home…read more Walking into Mad Anthony's feels like slipping into your favorite flannel shirt--warm, familiar, and a little rough around the edges, but in the best way. It's a dive bar that knows exactly what it is, and it leans into it unapologetically. The beer is cheap, cold, and endless, just the way nature intended. The regulars are the kind of people who will call you "buddy" before they even know your name, and by the end of the night, you might just have a nickname you didn't ask for but secretly love. The building itself is historic, though no one's quite sure how old it actually is--just old enough to have stories, and maybe a few ghosts, if you believe the guy on the corner stool. The crooked pool table in the back adds a layer of excitement (or frustration) to your game, and the food situation? Let's just say they've perfected the fine art of the toaster oven. A hotdog or frozen pizza has never tasted better, especially when served with the kind of charm only a dive bar can muster. And then there's the bathroom. This is where Mad Anthony's truly shines. They've cracked the code to dive-bar bathroom management by making sure the urinals are always packed with ice. It's a quirky, borderline genius trick that keeps the place from smelling like regret, and honestly, it's a level of thoughtfulness you wouldn't expect but deeply appreciate. The lighting is dark, but not "what-did-I-just-sit-on" dark--just enough to make everyone look a little cooler and keep the vibe cozy. Mad Anthony's doesn't try to impress, and that's exactly why it does. It's imperfect in all the right ways, and if you're looking for a bar that feels like an old friend, this is the place.

I've been here a time or two with friends and the ambiance and food is always amazing. They have a phenomenal happy hour menu and man does the place fill up fast. My friend made reservations and I'm glad she did. We went on a Thursday and the place was packed to the brim. We ordered the truffle fries and the fried cauliflower for happy hour prices. My favorite part of the fried cauliflower is they offer to toss them in all the different sauces. We ordered them "bare" with the garlic sauce on the side with their homemade ranch and wowza! They were PHENOMENAL! We ordered the Greek Chicken to split and we were wanting more. The flavors were absolutely delicious and so fresh. It's an amazing spot!

We called ahead and actually made a reservation for 2 seats at the main bar - score for Friday night... We ordered the Bourbon Glazed Salmon with side Sweet Heat Salad and the Sous Vide Wagyu Hanger Steak Frites. Both entrées were cooked perfectly and the service at the bar is more personal and attentive due to captive audience. We also had a craft beer flight: 1) Southern Tier Cheat Day, Imperial Ale 2) Perennial Vanilla Abraxas, Imperial Stout 3) Findlay Brewing Co, Ohio Weather, Porter 4) Inside The Five Pineapple Training Wheels, Radler/Shandy I usually pick at least one foo-foo style beer for my better half as I am a stout/porter kind of guy. I actually enjoyed the Inside The Five Pineapple Training Wheels, Radler/Shandy as it has a refreshing taste. Plus Inside The Five is one of our favorite places to go. After finishing our meal and the tasty beer flight, we presented the bartender with the sealed envelope containing the mystery coupon... drum roll please... it was $10 off our total bill. Practically paid for the beer flight = yay! Cha-ching!!!
