First time to visit the Casual Pint. Vast number of craft brewed beer choices, food was decent, and live entertainment. Service was attentive and the bar staff was helpful in making choices. i got the BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger. first couldn't even tell you I got bacon. Second this bland burger that I paid $15 was nothing more than a frozen gas station burger patty..and I've had better burger patties from a gas station. The fries were the best part, all 10 pieces of them. You get a can of ridiculously priced pop and no wait staff. This place was overpriced at best. So far I've only come here on Thursday trivia nights, but it's a good time every week. Beer selections change every time so I get to pick what I wanna drink for the night. It's perfect for someone like myself who likes to change things up depending on my mood. Staff are very efficient and friendly. I'm JUST starting to get to know them but I get the sense most of them have been either working there a long time, or are part of the family. Either way, they're good people. Reasonable beer prices. Good peeps. Nice ambiance. What more could you ask for? Oh, they don't have the greatest food, but just good enough quality bar food to get you going for the night. I've been to plenty of bars with superb food, but they rarely seem to satisfy in all aspects. So I'm good with average grubs as long as everything else pans out for a good night out! read more

Bottom line: The Casual Pint has one job...it sells beer. Suffice it to say that THE Casual Pint is damned good at its job. Beer: Now, we're not talking 'bout shit beer. Sorry pal, but you won't find Gennessee (sic) Cream Ale up in THIS mutha! Hell, you won't even find my beloved water-beer, Coors Light... CP features a very well curated draft list. There are, usually, 35 beers on tap, and, at this moment, 22 are from Ohio breweries. You'll find products from larger regional/national outfits, such as Boulevard's 30th anniversary ale. Also, you'll find beers from tiny breweries, like Wally Post RED (Moeller Brew Barn's, which is located just down the road in Maria Stein, OH). Seasonal offerings: Yes, and, uh, they change every season. Right now, if it's your bag, baby, there are multiple Fall/Halloween style brews on tap. For example, Roadsmary's Other Baby (Two Roads Brewing Company) is a nice tasty pumpkin/yam beer. Creepshow Smoked Porter, from Warped Wing in Dayton, is just what it sounds like. Carry out: Don't forget to take home a crowler or a growler for the kids! Furthermore, on the wall opposite the draft bar, you'll find shelves and coolers chock full of cans and bottles. You'll find wine, beer, more beer, and even more beer. Plus, you'll find mead, cider, alcoholic ginger beer, etc. Basically, if humans drink it, and it contains alcohol, it's probably represented at the Casual Pint. I didn't see spirits represented, but I didn't look too hard. Food: Some of the items on the menu actually sounded pretty interesting. I've never eaten here, so I can't vouch for the food. Maybe next time. Service: Perhaps it's a little spotty, sometimes. Personally, I've never had an issue. Business Model: Casual Pint is a chain, but each franchise (about 25 in the country, most are east of the Mississippi) is locally owned. Clearly, there is an concerted effort to feature, at least to some degree, local products. Atmosphere: Comfortable, but nothing special. Location: It's on the Secor corridor...the RESURGENT Secor corridor...it's located right in, essentially, the dead center of the Toledo metro area. So yeah, even though Casual Pint isn't a brewery, it is definitely a great addition to Toledo's craft beer scene. 5 stars! read more

This place is a hidden gem in a strip of shops back off of Secor. They have a wide variety of beers and ciders on tap and even more in bottles that are available. They have a few flight options if you are torn between a few that you want to try. Their food is also really good. Their flatbreads are my favorite. My wife and I chose this place from Yelp reviews and we really enjoyed our experience. The bartender was very nice and knowledgeable about the extensive beer list. A great selection of taps and many take home beers available. The food was very good. We had the pretzel, pickle pizza, porkie pie pizza. Super yummy. Barring atrocious service (and that's not what I got here), a place with 35 craft beers on tap is bound to squeeze at least three stars out of me. The Casual Pint's beer board offered everything from the familiar IPAs and porters to offbeat sours and meads, mostly from Ohio breweries. Sure it's got a strip-mall eatery atmosphere, but if you're were looking for hip and edgy along north Secor you may already have overimbibed and don't need to go to a bar anyway. I can't give TCP any more than three stars because of the food. On my first stop I ordered a buffalo chicken salad, which was OK--chicken was surprisingly spicy--but small. When I returned I was craving something a little more decadent and ordered the "American" bratwurst that came with cheese and bacon. The brat was bland and could easily have passed as a plain hotdog. The cheese resembled cheese sauce, and the bacon tasted like it might have been taken out of the smoker a little too soon. It gave the sandwich some crunch but not much else. Some of the "Sidewinder" fried potatoes on the side were still a little cool in the middle--I get the impression they come frozen. Most of the people there (very few when I visited as that was during two weekday lunchtimes) were ordering the flatbreads, which could be the better choice. They don't call themselves The Casual Gastropub, though. For a place to get a pint, it's fine. read more

The good part about this place is that tap list. Lots of beers to choose from and many are local. You can also pick up cans of beer in the fridge. Sadly, that's really where the good ends. First, the food is not very good. I've given it a few tries now, and the taste is meh at best. And don't bother with upgrading to fries. You get like five curly fries that are thick and not cooked very well. For such a small food menu, seems they should do better. Second, this place is way too small for the live music. It takes up a lot of room, it's not been very good, and if you're near it, you can't barely think let alone talk to anybody you're with. There's not enough seating in this place for that. Just keep the music lightly playing through the speakers and let customers talk while we drink our beer. I'll be back for the beer, but not for the food or ambiance. read more

We were unable to find an employee, so we just sat at the bar, but after 10 minutes we still hadn't seen anyone (bartender, waiter, or otherwise). A very unsuspecting but cute place!!! We loved the 6 beer flights in Ohio shaped flight boards. The service was very friendly. I highly recommend the lager but everything was good. I'm gonna preface this review with the fact that I don't like beer and didn't try any of their beers on tap. We went for lunch with my parents since it's right by their place. I thought the inside was cute, I felt comfortable just hanging out in there watching the game. You go up and order at the bar and they bring the food to you - which is fine. I'm used to that kind of service. The people behind the bar were extremely friendly and helpful, it was a good experience. My parents got beer- which they liked. They also have a bunch of 6 packs you can purchase in addition to the beer on tap and wine offerings. For food we tried the pulled pork sliders, a flatbread, pretzel and cheese appetizer, The American bratwurst, bbq wings, and their version of French fries. Everything was fantastic in our opinion. The pulled pork was delicious and their's is the best beer cheese I've ever had. I loved the pretzel buns as well, everything was done well. We're from out of town but if we lived here I'm sure we would be there often. This is a great addition to Secor in that area. read more

Will start by saying we really enjoy coming here as the beer is always a great as the service. Just had a weird experience today, however. When we arrived we noticed the outdoor patio wasnt set up so I went in and asked the lady if I could set up a table as my wife and I had a puppy with us that we wanted to sit outdoors with while we had some drinks. The lady then stated that it was too chilly to set up tables outside (its 61 degrees and sunny right now). I was sort of shocked to hear this as I wasn't asking for much outside of a table and two seats. Either way, we left and ended up going to Toledo Spirits which has a fantastic outdoor seating situation right now! Im also disappointed as we drive from Sylvania and even bypass inside the 5 to come here! Anyways, don't let this review deter you from going yo casual pint as their beers and service are always GREAT! This was just a Rather bizarre experience and we may come back at some point in the future, but who knows. read more

Went here with my dad. It's a decent place. It was a Saturday night so it was relatively busy. They have a good beer selection on tap as well as a big cooler you can select from (bottles and cans). Obviously, get a flight to get the full experience. We got he Bavarian pretzels with cheese dip--really good. I withhold that last star because service was slow. First Impressions: The seating absolutely sucks. I came with four other people (total of 5), all the tables were too small to accommodate us. (Btw, did I mention that the parking lot is too small also?). Anyway, we sat down. The Beer: If you like beer, this place could be for you. I do not drink beer, so the waitress informed me that my choices were limited to water and cans in a display that I tried to find, but couldn't. I chose water. Everyone else was able to get beers. They were able to get flights of beer, which they enjoyed. One fun activity with beer is to enter what your drinking into the app "untapped" and watch it pop up on a digital board behind the bar. The Food: My food was excellent. I had "The Popeye" which was a chicken wrap with basil pesto, red peppers, a balsamic glaze, and a spinach tortilla. It was absolutely glorious. Loved it! I would recommend it, period. Final Decision: The food is good, at least what I ate, my friends also liked the Southwestern egg rolls that they had. The beer selection is wonderful. However, it does not cater well to non-drinkers (such as designated drivers). So I can not give it more than 3 stars. read more

With 35 taps and a huge selection of bottles and cans its pretty much impossible not to find something you like. Impressive selection with some very good lesser known beers, the owners really know quality and how to stock a beer bar. Service was great, very sociable and knew there stuff when you asked them questions. Food was a bit of a disappointment, the flat bread pizza was pretty sad looking, the fries were high school cafeteria quality and the chicken wings were just ok. Beer was well worth the trip though I loaded up on some 4 packs before heading out so if you like craft beer this place is worth checking out. They stock a lot of local Ohio beers also so if you don't have a lot of time to hit up various breweries just go here. read more

This is a nice place with good selection of craft beers with a nice selection of local brews. They also have some food items. I had the spicy Thai wings. Not overly spicy. But good. I like the idea of being able to buy a six pack of beer to take home. The downside is the location was slow. I understand that it just opened but there were about 10 people inside and the staff was just a little slow with service. This is an area that should improve with growth.
