At 11:15 in the morning, the restaurant wasn't too crowded and the 6 of us had a nice table in the main dining area. I ordered the Seafood Chimichanga for $18.99. It looked like a gigantic eggroll when it came out. It had guacomole, lettuce, tomato on the side as well as Spanish rice. As mentioned on the menu, the oversized wrap was filled with large shrimp, crab (sirimi), bay scallops, fish and chopped octopus along with onion and cheese. It was fabulous and enough for 2 meals. Of the 6 of us, I was last to be served by almost 5 minutes. When it came time for the check, they charged me $3.95 for a diet coke even though I only had a glass of water (with lime). That was corrected. They also included the gratuity into the total as well as another upcharge for using a credit card. The callout here is if you include a gratuity, you shouldn't have another line item on the bill for gratuity unless it states "additional gratuity". They provide suggested tip amounts which actually include the total bill, gratuity and tax as the basis of their suggested tip. My charge was $18.99 plus tax. Typical 20% tip would be $4.00 making it $23.00. Credit card makes it $24. The suggested tip again was $4.00 making the total $28. There should be a better way not to confuse patrons or misguide them into leaving a 40% tip. Plenty of parking since they're in a large strip mall. Be careful when crossing the main road to get to the restaurant as many of the cars don't stop.
