Hedi's is the ONLY place I will go for my alterations! They are very reasonably priced and do beautiful work. They repaired a $200 jacket for minimal cost, as well as altered my wedding dress which she did a BEAUTIFUL job on. It was all lace and you would've never known it was altered as she kept the pattern completely uniform-I don't know how she did it. Also, I have come to her with two emergencies now, (both walk-ins and one involving my sister's wedding gown 2 days before her out-of-town wedding) and each time she accepted the challenge & completed both jobs well ahead of schedule, coming up with solutions that left each garment even better than I could've thought up myself. If you are looking for a saleswoman to greet you with a smile and a glass of champagne while making small talk about your flowers and honeymoon-this is not the place for you. They mean business and WILL 100% carry through with all of your needs in a timely and inexpensive manner. They also have excellent recommendations regarding dry cleaners and enjoy supporting other local small businesses. Personally, that is more than I could ask for when I need alterations. HIGHLY recommend Heidi's Alteration. The ladies make you feel comfortable (always needed when you are vulenerable about clothes not fitting your body) and the prices are unbeatable. Robina is the best!!!! For years when my "short pants" aren't really made for short people she fixes them right up. More importantly she took care of my wedding dress. I wouldn't have trusted anyone else! I always loved my dress, but before altering it to fit me something was just off. Robina made it my dress and helped me fall deeper in love!! These ladies are wizards with their needle wands. They are fast and are always friendly with smiles on their faces. I take all my clothing to these ladies. I've taken in jeans 2.5 inches too big in the waist which they fixed that you could never detect anything was altered to them. I've had dresses taken it, hemmed up, darts put it and straps added on. Yes people, I go there so much with clothes that I've have been sitting in my closet for quite sometime all due to I didn't know of a good alterations shop. Well, I have found my little magic shop. These queens are amazing. They do everything there. From the simplest of shorts to finest wedding dresses and dress unifroms. If you need it fast they try and accommodate for the occasion. Robina consistently accommodates my needs and works her magic! Every piece I've gotten altered is perfectly customized to my body shape and height. I was not originally planning on bringing my wedding dress here to be altered but I am so happy that I did! I worked with Rubina and she is fabulous! My dress had 5 layers/liners to it and I know that it was not easy to work on. We took it in throughout the bodice about 1 inch total and added breast pads to smooth out the top. Then we took about 5-6 inches off of the length in the front and Rubina was able to finish it off to add a small train. We came for 4 fittings just to make sure everything was right. Oh wow - they did a beautiful job hemming two pairs of denim (Good American thinks I'm a giant, so I needed ~5in off). The seamstress was attentive during the measuring and helped me figure out just where I needed the pants to hit for both sneakers and boots. PAY EXTRA for the ability to keep the original hem - it's well worth it! Both pairs had a specific style of hem that I did want to keep so that the overall look was preserved - Hedi's made the tailoring invisible (even after being washed/dried). Overall, the fee was pretty small given that they were a palazzo wide-leg. I've already brought another garmet in to be altered. read more

They even adjusted a dress that I tried on early in my pregnancy and the way they fixed it it still fit perfectly later in my pregnancy when my belly was bigger. Hedi's is a fantastic place to have alterations done. They are timely, thorough and reasonably priced. Robina has altered many things for me and they have all turned out fantastic. I took my bridesmaid dress in to have the straps shortened and cups put in. When I picked it up and took it home and tried it on the alterations were not right at all. I called up and they happily told me to bring back up which I did and they fixed it within 1 hour and the alterations were perfect! Hedi's Alteration did a fabulous job on my suit pants and jacket. I had to get a new suit for a sudden funeral and the outfit needed slacks and sleeves adjusted. She handled it in a day and the suit looks brand new like it came from the manufacturer or even beter.
