Our technician, Brian, was very communicative on the day of our appointment, and arrived perfectly on time. He was able to locate the issues quickly and provide several options for repair. Throughout the entire process, Brian was very patient and created a comfortable environment for us, making sure we understand the problem and explaining it carefully. I felt bad for taking up too much of his time during the consultation stage, but he made it clear that my scheduled time slot would be dedicated for me only and ensured that I didn't feel rushed. Because I have homeowners insurance, I would need to file the claim to my insurance before any repairs, so no repairs were done day-of. This is the second time I have used Hedrick & Young. The first time was to replace my water heater and they did an excellent job. This time was replacing sink, toilet and shower valves. They also did an excellent job. I called and scheduled an appointment and Brandon and Santos came to the house to discuss my project. Had a little project and was in need of removing a sink. Before I had Hedrick & Young come out we had another inexperienced plumber come out and attempt to remove it. They were not able to complete the job leaving me very dissatisfied. Found Hedrick & Young through Yelp and told them my issue. They communicated fairly quickly and was able to send someone out the next day. They sent over Santos and he was such a blessing. I showed him what the "issue" was. I contacted a few plumbers for advice regarding a gas line issue. A few who I called did not answer the telephone, and a couple were not very enthusiastic about providing advice. I then contacted Hedrick & Young Plumbing and spoke to a gentleman, who I believe was the owner. After explaining the concern, the gentleman took the time to break down potential issues associated with the gas line. Although I did not need to hire him to complete any work at this time, I appreciated the assistance. Like one of the other customers below, I got duped into getting a my line hydrojetted. I had a sink clogged and just needed it to be cleared. I had a pleasant experience dealing with Chelsea because she was very responsive and nice. The story begins below: 1st Plumber (Dustin): "I guarantee with a hydrojet for your clean-out line would resolve your issue." He didn't have the hydrojet with him, so he contacted the second plumber. 2nd Plumber (Josh): "Yeah, I am pretty confident that it will resolve your issue." Me: Okay. If that's what you suggest, let's do it! After the hydrojetting, it did NOT resolve my issue and I'm out almost $400. The sink was still clogged!! I suggested that it might be from the P-trap. So the second plumber took a look and found it was clogged. If they were pros, they would've looked at the P-trap and I would be out about $100 or so instead of the cost of the hydrojetting. I was unhappy about it and requested to talk to the supervisor. I spoke to the supervisor (John or Jacob) and he refused to make it right. He insisted I have to pay the full price of the hydrojetting, even though that's not what I initially called for. He absolutely did not want to work with me. On top of all this, my laminate flooring was all scratched up due to Josh's snake machine. Wait...there's more...To make matters worse, his vacuum wasn't hooked up correctly and the top came off, which caused a dust storm in my kitchen!! I really wanted to work with these guys in the future, but after having to deal with the supervisor and his unwillingness to work with me, I can no longer recommend or trust these guys. If you want to use them, please be VERY careful with the hydrojetting and that it might NOT resolve your issue. read more

I found this company back in 2019 with being a first time homeowner, I wasn't sure who to call. First incident occurred in the middle of December 2019 my water heater went out. Brandon and his team helped me get up to date with a tankless water heater and unlimited hot water! Super happy the service that was provided as well as the water heater! Second occasion, occurred in my home with a major pipe bust in my kitchen island. Which left not only ruined my island but the flooring and surrounding base boards. Recent occasions, I had a minor issue in my garage thinking it was my water heater but in fact it ended up being an electrical issue! Not recommend. Make sure you get quote before they start the job. It offered $85 on the phone call for snaking, but the plumber asked for $595 after the job done. After I negotiated with Sam, he drop the price to $395. You plumber should tell customer price before start. Don't recommend. Had a clog in my kitchen sink. Asked for a quote which was $80. When plumber came he immediately said it was $180 due to me using a drain type solvent. He tried to snake the clog and stated it was really blocked up and needed something else. Then upsold me to hydrojetting for $260. Luckily he didn't have the machine, returned the next day and said he won't hydrojet since my kitchen is on the second floor and wanted $360 for descaling while stating it normally is a $650 job. I told him I wanted to shop around and would reach out if I wanted to descale. Long story short I got another plumber to do the same snaking and unclogged the pipe for cheaper than their initial quote. Told me my pipes were pretty clean and put a camera down to observe free of charge. Would never recommend. Stay away. read more

Guys showed up unprepared as cameras did not work. They Phoned their head guy to bring another camera, and supposedly ran camera 75 feet from roof top but couldn't present pictures. Advised pipe was broken or plugged somewhere but didn't know where; again due to camera not working. Said there was nothing they could do unless they run high pressure water through pipes. They came back the following day to snake pipe and went 15 feet. Tech advised pipe was broken. "Scratching my head". Keep in mind; they were able to snake pipe 75 feet the day before. read more

It has been a pleasure working with you. Vincent did most of the demolition at my home, after I had a fire sprinkler pipe break, and flood my ceiling, and eventually make it's way in-between my walls, and under my new floors! The whole house had to be emptied, and demoed. Vincent, and Hendrick & Young Plumbing worked very closely with my insurance company, making sure everything down to the last details was taken care of. Vincent worked with my insurance company to secure two very large pods that were parked in my driveway for all my furniture. Vincent worked with my insurance agent to reserve a hotel for my family while all of the work was being done on my home. The water damage was very extensive! My home is of modest size, @2500sf. Even though approximately only 1100sf of flooring was damaged, Vincent made sure all of the flooring was replaced. The reasoning for replacing the entire flooring was, even though you can find a "match", unless it comes from the same "lot Number", it will never be an exact match! I had just had a remodel on my house approximately 6mo prior to the pipe rupture. When I purchased my flooring, it was all from one "lot", so my flooring was all a complete match, and thanks to Vincent, it again was a perfect matching floor throughout the entire home. I had to have my ceiling patched, walls replaced, baseboards replaced, crown moldings replaced, and the entire interior of the house painted. It was a long process, but in the end. The receptionist is great to help me to book my appointment, but the plumber isn't honest. He could not clearly point out what the issues was. After he charged me $185, he said that I have a bigger problem. I asked him to get me a estimate for the job. He was saying $1000+ for the work, and he may also find more problems. At this point, I'm sleepless. (I understand the plumber is working on commission$$$, but your way isn't the right way to make money.) I hired another plumber the next day. I've called to have Hedrick come out to fix plumbing issues in the past for my (80 yr old) mothers house but this most recent visit I was not available to be with her while the plumber worked. We called for a sink drip and to be fair, the house is older but the leak was not at its worst. The job could have waited, and it's always appreciated when someone says, no, we can't do the job but $1300 later and a broken pipe caused by the plumber that he had to fix and charge, water pressure increased, and a cheap new sink faucet.
