I was then offered several options on the level of service available. The clogged drain was snaked, visually inspected with a camera, and jetted to remove grease build up. The old p-trap and pipes were replaced, and a freehanging drain pipe, that was propped up with scrap wood, was properly strapped and secured. Wanted to give a shoutout to John and the crew for helping me through a sewage leak issue. They're an incredibly competent and dedicated team that I'd trust with pretty much any plumbing job going forward. I had a leaking cast iron sewer main that ended up becoming a pretty major repair. I had a few others come out for estimates, but a lot of them felt like they were glossing over the details of why the repairs were necessary. John actually took the time to walk through the pipes with me on camera and explain exactly what we were looking at and why certain sections needed attention. There was a charge for the inspection, but honestly it was far more thorough than what anyone else offered. What I appreciated most was that they didn't immediately jump to the most extreme and expensive option. They recommended starting with a descale and inspection first before deciding on the final repair path. We decided on using a spray liner and over the course of the week they descaled the lines and applied a spray liner solution. Throughout the whole process I felt like they went above and beyond and were very professional about explaining everything. In the end we decided to line the cast iron with a plastic liner and the finished result came out great. They also gave me before and after footage of the pipes, which I really appreciated. We discovered that the box type hot water valve for our washing machine was leaking and had to find someone on short notice to mitigate the water damage. Fortunately for us, Jig Plumbing answered the call and within an hour they had a technician at our front door. Jig sent us a link so we knew on a map where our technician was so we could be ready for him. We were greeted at our front door by Frank and he was able to assess the situation quickly. He gave us a good quote for a pretty complex job. Our home was built in 1962 and we had a mix of PEX and copper plumbing in the laundry room wall and he swapped it out for PEX for us to match what we have in much of the house. Frank kept us informed throughout the process and even had to retrieve one part from a local store. Unfortunately that store sold him the wrong part but Frank was able to adapt and make it work. He wore foot protection so our house would stay clean and he put down drop cloths in the laundry area so his work area would remain clean and dry. When he was all finished he gave us a detailed overview of what he did and made suggestions for the future. Frank cleaned up everything quickly and didn't leave us with any garbage to dispose of.
