Dr. Hayden and her staff have always been extremely friendly and have provided excellent customer service to us and our three teenage boys. More recently Dr. Hayden caught an eye issue called narrow angles and suggested I go see a specialist. After visiting the laser treatment center it was confirmed that I needed to have laser surgery to correct an urgent issue that could've caused blindness if left unchecked and I was very close to being in angle closure at the time of the surgery! I am so very grateful for Dr. Hayden's expertise and professionalism but most of all for my ability to see. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!! read more

I called and asked for a price for eye exam as I am paying out of pocket. The girl had trouble quoting me anything over the phone but finally decided on a number to which I confirmed with her and asked her to check multiple times. She mentioned an add on service of 100 dollars but was optional. Fast forward to the visit and the tech did an exam and asked if I wanted another type of test, which I declined. I saw the dr, who was great. At checkout I had an additional 100 dollars tacked onto my charge. I didn't have time to argue or look at the receipt and decided that it was a good experience and I needed the exam anyway. I was told they carry the type of frame I wanted and to call when I was ready to set up a fitting. Fast forward 8 months. I set up an appt and it consisted of the tech telling me they had to order the frames for me to try on! And they had no ray ban in stock. She said it would only take a few days. I waited almost 2 weeks and called when I hadn't heard anything. She said 3 out of the 4 frames arrived but the last could have been backordered and she would check and call me back. That was over a week ago. I haven't heard ANYTHING from anyone here and my appt to try frames on was 3 weeks ago. Based off the reviews and their dates, I would say this place might have been great in years past, but is really falling short presently. I would not recommend them! read more

Not happy! I went in with a VERY specific request. I wanted a pair of blue Ray Ban aviators made into progressive lenses (I brought my current Ray Bans in for accuracy when ordering). The first time I went to pick up my glasses, they seemed to be children's sunglasses, much smaller than my current ones. I went home and did research and found the correct model number for her (which WAS on the stem of the glasses I had originally brought in). Finally, after approximately 2 months since my first visit, I was told my glasses were ready. The technician that had originally helped me was not there. Again, the glasses were wrong! Apparently, Ray Ban does not offer the light blue for progressive lenses. NOBODY had taken the time to call me and let me know before the glasses were made. Frustrated, I just accepted what they gave me, but I will never go back. read more

They overcharge by a lot. Prescription lenses for a pair of sunglasses was going to cost $700. And when looking back on a previous years purchase, they stole $400 from me. Last year, insurance paid most of the cost but they charged me as if insurance covered nothing. I never received any of the overcharge back, and getting my prescription was terrible. The FTC has made it law (Eyeglass Rule) that no matter if YOU (the customer) want your prescription, they still have to physically provide you a copy. I asked for it over 5 times at the time of my appointment and never received a copy. I would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

We did not request a refund after 2 months.  We were instructed by your office to take a break and to come back in 2 months.  When we returned, your office seemed surprised, and informed us that you refunded the "class" fee because we were frustrated and hadn't been back for 2 months.  After much whispering and back and forth behind the desk, and up and down the stairs, your office finally agreed to let my son work on his own in the back room without any instruction, because you refunded the "class" fee. Well, today, we went to see Dr. Jill Schnurer (Village Eye Care, Clarkston) for the very first time.  Our son received direct one on one treatment, care and instruction from Dr. Schnurer and her assistant Melissa.  Our entire family received professional and respectful service.  After receiving the best possible care and encouragement, our son was able to insert and remove his contacts in less than 45 minutes and not a single tear was shed!!! It was the first and only time he made any attempts since leaving your practice just over a month ago!  We couldn't be happier or more satisfied with Dr. Schnuerer!!! The entire process was not only a HUGE success, but it was a fun and enjoyable experience as well!!! WOW!!! What a difference!!! read more

I was very impressed by Tom at Heinsight and will be taking my business here in the future. I recently had a bit of a contact emergency-- I didn't realize I was out of contacts until after I had thrown out my last pair, which also happened on a Saturday, and my lenses in my glasses are pretty out of date. In a panic, I called Heinsight, since they are open on Saturdays--even though I was not a customer of theirs at the time. Tom was wonderful and gave me a sample pair of lenses to get me through until I could order replacements--which I will be ordering through him for sure! Great customer service. Looking forward to being a client of his from now on. Also-- they DO take VSP. It works a little differently than most other places, and they are not listed as a VSP provider on the VSP website, but it is accepted. read more

What a wonderful experience I had today visiting Heinsight Eyecare in Milford for the first time. Dr. Maria Hayden was very kind and answered my questions and listened to all my concerns. Matthew Collins, the optician was very pleasant, informative, and courteous. He answered all my questions about different types of frames that would be best for me and explained the insurance process. They have a great variety of frames so Matthew helped me with my decision. Very Poor Service. I found the owner to be very arrogant and rude from the very first visit. He was very unprofessional. Tom , and his office manager both lied to me about their communication with my insurance company "Blue Cross". I ultimately had to have Blue Cross, set up a conference call with Amy, and Tom to resolve the issue. The Blue Cross representative told Amy that she was not telling the customer the truth.
