I saw the word "Plums" on the sign and felt that I'd like to treat myself, so at the next corner, I turned around. I have significant dietary considerations, and plums fit right into my plan, for a few reasons. So I stopped and bought a bag of plums... $6. I tried to tip a buck (I only had $7 cash on me so "here... for the tip jar"). Nope! "Thank you, but put it in your tank". The two young ladies that helped me were delightful, and told me about their property and how it's been in the family since it was built in 1911. I love history! Such a beautiful property. But the plums!!! Oh man... so amazing, sweet and perfectly ripe. I was so lucky to just happen-by this gem on the last day of their plum-sales season. I can't wait to see what their next harvest is. Fun festive pumpkin patch!…read more This family run pumpkin patch is in the heart of Folsom. This was perfect for small children as it isn't huge like many other patches. They have a variety of pumpkins for sale, and reasonably priced. They have tractor hay rides, animals for petting (bunnies, goats, & chickens) and pony rides. They had a corn maze/tunnel that the children loved running through. And the rocking horse corral was a big hit. And it was reasonably priced. We will be back at Christmas, when it turns into a tree farm!

They were welcoming, patient, knowledgeable, and made every student feel included. Our students had an incredible opportunity to learn about ranch and farm life, tractors, horses, foals, farm animals, hay, and the daily responsibilities of caring for a ranch. The hands-on experiences were the highlight of the day. Students were able to groom horses, interact with animals, ask questions, and gain a real appreciation for agriculture and animal care. Terry and his team kept the students engaged from beginning to end. What made this experience even more special was Terry Howard's generosity. Shadow Glen donated approximately three hours of their time at no charge to educate three classes of Center Joint Unified School District students. That level of community support is truly appreciated. Our students are still talking about the trip, and the adults had just as much fun as the kids. It was an outstanding experience from start to finish.

Although, it was a bit of a drive for us coming from Sacramento/Elk Grove we were able to maximize our time there. The strawberry farm is family owned and located not too far from other businesses in the area if you wanted to find something to eat or find somewhere else to hang out afterwards. There was a food truck, Laopino, that had delicious lumpias, music, a bubble machine, plus a few games and activities to keep the little ones occupied, and shaded tables to enjoy your fresh harvests. :) Tickets are only available online. Weekend tickets are released on Thursdays at 7 pm. When choosing our date and time it shows we only had an hour to pick but really we got to take our time and enjoy our morning. I feel they show you have a one hour slot to help stagger guests in. I love how they had a little gift shop set up, another tent with fresh flowers, drinks, and beautiful cookies at the register to purchase. The strawberry fields had plenty to choose from. We saw lots of bright red ones varying from all sizes. The staff also informed us there were 6 types of strawberries being grown! My kids enjoyed only for a short while and mainly wanted to stay in the kid area. There are also plenty of photo ops on the farm too! We would absolutely return in the future. Highly recommend!

They said no need as they always have it. Upon entering, there is so much. You can select from what they have cut up, or choose from the refrigerated section. They had A5 Wagyu and even alligator. I didn't get to see what else, but there is tons to choose from here. I asked for a prime rib cut. They asked for how many people. They recommended 2 bones and me being me, I said let's do 3. They offered to cut the bones off and re-tie it all together. They showed me the cut before they wrapped it up, weighed and paid. The meat quality was amazing. I'll definitely come back here when we fire up the grill this summer or to get a standing rib roast for the holidays and special occasions. Clean spot and everyone is helpful and knowledgable to get what you need.
