I found Bridget in a salon in the mall, and when I moved to Texas for a brief time, when I needed a trim, always booked a flight home to visit my family and made an appointment to see her! When she was moving to Heirloom, she gave me her card so I knew where to find her. Now that I'm back home, making regular appointments to see her is a must. My first appointment with Liza was a little over two years ago. It was an emergency... I had gotten my hair cut earlier that day and it was butchered. I mean Picasso-esque shaped ends. She was a breath of fresh air! She had just moved to the city with her husband and was still building clientele. She fixed my hair better than I could have ever expected. I've been going to her ever since. She is young, ambitious, and super skilled! I don't personally dye my hair but I have loved every cut I have ever received from her. I was thrilled to get my first haircut in 1.5 years and made the appt here for 2 weeks after my 2nd dose. I arrived and was shocked to find at least 2 employees (one seemed to be a manager or owner?) completely maskless. I was instantly uncomfortable and anxious but went ahead with the cut since my stylish had a face shield, I am vaccinated, and was wearing a proper mask. Had I known this salon would be so careless with their customer's health, safely, and comfort I would have gone elsewhere. I simply made the appt because it's where I went before Covid. If you take science, and respect for human life seriously do not go to this salon. Even if the employees were vaccinated it's risky to be maskless indoors. As for the cut, it was barely enough to be called a trim. I'm used to a stylist checking in about length etc and mine hardly spoke a word once it began. read more

The "less natural" look I wanted, was actually shown to Kristen in my initial extensive consultation on my first visit, in the form of a picture of work done by her, taken from her instagram page. So apparently she does do that type of work. Regardless of what your opinion on the first outcome of my hair was, I, as the customer who paid over $250, did not like it, and it wasn't what I asked for. Furthermore, the "cornerstones of your philosophy" are enormously contradicted by several things I was told about you, your family, & the salon, by Kristen. Things that, even if I was 1 million percent happy with my hair, would have kept me from ever having a dime of my money go towards you or your salon ever again. Things that I won't repeat publicly. Included among the comments that I AM comfortable repeating publicly & are relevant to your business, was that you had advised her to overcharge a client who switched from your chair to hers, that was the wife of a professional athlete, because of "the size of the rock on her finger." Secondly, if you wanted me or anyone to believe your futile attempts to justify your poor management or lies to rebut the evidence at hand, perhaps you shouldn't find my review 'funny' on Yelp. Next, vaccines at the time weren't even open to people with medical conditions and my stylist informed me that the offender was just lazy and simply didn't want to wear a mask. Regardless, your justifications are merely blatant lies because fact of the matter is, your stylist asked me to raise this concern via a review because your lack of adhering to Covid health guidelines was not new and troubling to her, and you ignored her safety. With your open support of the former political administration on your business IG, it's clear on your position of "these troubling times". At any rate, my stylist was concerned of your retribution and then called me and asked me to take out that part because she was concerned that you would fire her, which apparently seems to be a trend with the ones who don't cater to your views. I hired Liza for my wedding and I am so incredibly happy I did. She is amazing! On the day of the hair trial, which took place at Heirloom Salon, Liza took so much time to show me different up-dos and one was more beautiful than the other. I left knowing that on the wedding day I had no single thing to worry about. On the wedding day she was the sweetest person ever! I had a few minor changes that I wanted to do on my up-do and it was absolutely no problem for her. My hair turned out even more beautiful than I had imagined and I received so many compliments on my up-do that day. Liza made me feel so beautiful and her calm demeanour helped keep me calm during getting ready too - which, I realised, is so important. She is also so patient with everyone, which meant a lot to me as my mom does not speak English and I was translating back and forth for her. I was speaking with the owner when, she decided to not like my needing to hear the price again, as I did not hear the price for an additional service. She then proceeded to cuss me out and hang up! How professional is that? I can't imagine she does hair amy more Professionally then she chooses to treat potential clients over the phone. I wouldn't trust her with scissors on my hair with that attitude, for any amount of money. For the record; I was being completely reasonable to ask for prices for services, As they couldn't be found listed anywhere. Then, out of nowhere, she flipped out and said she doesn't discuss pricing and hung up on me. This was all because I did not hear the Price she originally had said. I don't advise letting anyone that Immature and unprofessional around your hair with scissors and chemicals! Stay far away from this salon, if you know what's good for your hair! I was horrified and immediately called two friends and husband to laugh about it. Y'all, I just got the best haircut of my life from Heather. I visited the salon based on other yelp reviews and I was not disappointed. My hair super thick and was very long and hadn't been cut in 2 years. The last time I got it cut (in NYC) after specifying I wanted less hair but not layers, the lady proceeded to chop it into layers. It was so frustrating having so many different lengths in my hair I resorted to wearing it in ponytails and buns. Heather knew exactly what to do with my hair, I didn't even have to ask. She's an expert in working with long and thick hair. I left the salon with hair that was still pretty long,but it actually moves and accentuates my face. I haven't felt this good in a very long time. She knows how to make me blonde without damaging my hair and is always honest if the color we want to achieve is attainable with one treatment. If not she explains in great detail the plan of action. They don't answer their phone, they don't return phone calls and they do not work through Yelp which it clearly says they do and offer a 50-minute response time. Heather Lynn has been cutting my hair for almost 9 years now. I own a business in Indian Trail and it took almost my entire adult life to find someone who can cut my hair with consistency.
