New Distillery in downtown Burgettstown PA.... Glad I stopped in! Got to meet and talk to the man behind the juice being made here. Very cool nostalgic atmosphere and the spirits being created did not disappoint! Can't wait to get my hands on some of the cask strength bottles when they pop up

Very cool use of an old bank building with fabulous cocktails. New cocktails added monthly. Most can be made into mocktails. Well worth a trip to Burgettstown.

This was our first visit to this location. One of the things that we do is travel to anything in the spirits world in the region. This is the 27th distillery in the Pittsburgh region. Found out from the owner that they opened up in January of 2023. He mentioned about the license that they have in place. Allows this to serve drinks here, sell their products at other locations (bars, restaurants) etc; When you walk in you get this nice smell of whiskey fermenting. Love the smell and a great view of the production floor. They have a 100 gallon pot still on the floor. Masher and a unit for fermentation. They have another device for distilling the Gin. Alex the owner mentioned that he has plans to add another pot still, something larger than the 100 gallon. As they start off, Alex and his wife still have full-time jobs in their industry before they can justify the ability to go full-time with the business. This is common with many people that own wineries, breweries, distilleries etc; We sampled the only 3 products that they have. Apple and Oranges, Gin and a whiskey base that is a bourbon but a clear spirit for now. They are working on a bourbon as they have barrels as small as 2 gallons, 5, 10, 15 and as larges as 59 gallons aging with the base to create a brown spirit for the bourbon experience. All of the samples were good and unique in the taste that we experienced. They have a new set of drinks weekly or monthly. I had the apples and oranges and like it. But loved the mule with the jalapeño, it had a spice to it that I loved. The owner Alex was nice and explained everything clearly. He explained the devices that he has in place on the production floor. Getting to the distillery, this is in a old bank and goes with the theme of Heist and the bathrooms have photos of bank robbers, bonnie and Clyde. Cool experience. Alex, mentioned that they are working on outside seating as well. This is a good stop to have pre-drinks before a concert moving forward. Overall impressive experience. I purchased a bottle of the Apple and Oranges and look forward to our next visit at this nice and upcoming distillery to the area and only spirit place in Burgettstown.

I actually do not drink beer at all, but I visited Pittsburgh Brewing Company to attend the 3rd annual Iron City Car Cruise powered by MAXmotive. The event featured classic vehicles, a rib fest, food trucks, live music, and beer. I attended mostly for the barbecue, but I enjoyed the other things as well. My husband and I had to pay $10 to park our vehicle in a back lot. Then we walked past the music stage to the BBQ vendors and food trucks. We had arrived around lunchtime, and unfortunately we saw only three BBQ vendors who still had food in stock, and even they were out of some menu items. I bought a rib teaser from Obey's BBQ and a pulled-pork sandwich, cornbread, and mac n cheese from Jim's Smokin' Que. These foods tasted OK to good. As for the classic vehicles, I do not know much about vehicles at all, but I saw some that had interesting designs.

When it was time to start, they walked us back through the barrel room all the way to where they make the beer. They have TVs displaying the production so if you were there on an off day, you can still see how it is made. At the end, we had a sample of every beer that they have on draft, which was really fun since I wouldn't ever try some of those on my own, but enjoyed them. Would definitely recommend!

I come from a long line of steelworkers and thought I pretty much knew all there was to know. That was, until the tour. The tour guide was extremely informative. Most of the folks working (volunteering) at Carrie have some connection to the steel industry. In addition to the tour, I have had the privilege of attending events there as well. Yep, they rent out the space. Everything was well put together at the events and having the furances as backdrop took it to the next level. As far as the tours go, I feel so strongly that Pittsburgh natives and tourists alike take one. It's really incredible to learn how much of the country was built because of Carrie.

The tour lasted about 2.5 hours and was mostly outside in direct sunlight. There were a few opportunities for shade, but not many. If you come on a hot day, plan to arrive hydrated and grab a complimentary water bottle from the check in desk. You'll need it. Parking is plentiful, the history is intriguing, and the art scattered about the property is thoughtful and engaging. If you're lucky, you'll spot some wildlife who inhabit the surrounding area.
