Gabriel (our tour guide) set the tone for our trip!!! Truly beyond words, I can't come close to describing the level of detail that was planned and laid out for us for our tour. We started with Tulum and we beat the massive crowd of people who showed up after us. Gabriel helped us to see this through a new lens, bringing more meaning to the tour. We then went snorkeling followed by visiting the cenotes, zip lining and kayaking. Not to mention the delicious food in the Mayan village!!! I would recommend these guys to everyone coming to visit Cancun!

The weather for this excursion prevented us from going snorkeling, so they just let us cruise in the fast boats for 2 hours thru the marinas, bays, shorelines and mangroves of Cancun. So much fun. Alex our guide did a great job, even though one of our boats in the party suffered a propeller malfunction, they replaced the boat quickly and made up our downtime. Great time, and will do it again.

We spent the morning getting ready for our noon tour, then took the bus to the location. Through a bit of overzealousness on our part, we arrived 45 minutes early, only to find out the tour was cancelled to do...maybe the wind? The boats and snorkeling weren't possible to go out. A few of us cancelled, but some decided they wanted to still do the trip the following day (our last day), but we asked them to please notify us in case it was cancelled beforehand so they didn't have to take another bus ride for no reason. I emailed the morning of, because of the strong winds all throughout the night. I did receive an email back, saying they hadn't heard if the tour was going to take place but I'd be notified in case of something had changed. Welp, those that were going had no choice to leave and hop on the bus for their tour...only to find out, the snorkeling part was cancelled, but they could do the boat ride if they wanted. Since snorkeling was their main reason for going, they decided to cancel. It would have been great to know this before hand. The refunds were processed pretty promptly and we were grateful for that, but it's a shame there wasn't much communication that wasted time (and money) that could have used for something else both times.

A Chichén Itz-A+ Experience!…read more We had an absolutely outstanding experience with Absolute Adventures, thanks in large part to our incredible guide, Alberto, and our professional driver, Yosmar. Alberto guided us through all the major archaeological sites at Chichén Itzá with a perfect balance of deep knowledge, storytelling, and patience. He answered countless questions--not just from my wife and me, but also from our very curious 10- and 8-year-old children. He made history come alive in a way that was engaging and accessible for all of us, which is no small feat on a long, hot day. What truly set Alberto apart was how attentive he was to our children's needs. He made sure we moved at a comfortable pace, checked in frequently, and ensured the kids stayed engaged and comfortable throughout the tour. He also did a fantastic job preparing us for interactions with vendors and other on-site situations, which made the entire experience stress-free and enjoyable. Our driver, Yosmar, was equally impressive. He was extremely professional, always parking in safe areas--and whenever possible, in the shade (a huge bonus!). He was attentive while we were getting in and out of the vehicle at each stop, especially when traffic was present, which made us feel very well taken care of. After the archaeological sites, Yosmar drove us to a beautiful cenote, where Alberto again went above and beyond--explaining all the amenities, walking down with us, and even helping carry one of our bags. We later stopped at an authentic Mayan/Mexican restaurant, where even our kids found food they loved. Alberto asked if he could join us for lunch, and we were happy to have him--his insight into the dishes and local cuisine made the meal even more enjoyable. We wrapped up the day with a stop in Valladolid, getting a quick but meaningful look at the Spanish influence, Mayan culture, and, of course, chocolate. It was a long day, but being able to go at our own pace--with our needs and preferences fully respected--made it more than worth it. Booking with Absolute Adventures was one of the best decisions we made on this trip, and we would absolutely do it again. Highly recommended for families, especially those traveling with children.

I had a really great great experience with Cancun Catamarans !…read more Before booking I had several questions about logistics. I communicated over email with Rocio. He was extremely responsive and answered all of my questions in a timely manner. We rented a private catamaran and it was absolutely gorgeous. The boat was sparkling clean and spacious. There was more than enough room for our party of six to spread out and be comfortable. There is a seated area at the front of the boat with tables and chairs, and then the back of the boat has a large netted area where you can lounge. The four hours are mainly spent cruising around. We were able to jump out once and snorkel with one of the crew members as our guide. We also docked once near a beach area and got to swim out and enjoy the beach for a little while. The crew members on the boat were all friendly and attentive. Open bar is included in the package and they were constantly refilling our drinks when they got low. I just wish that they had drink trays or lids -- we mainly wanted to enjoy our drinks on the netted area, but you really couldn't lay out and have a drink at the same time. I was also a little bummed to learn that a 5% card fee was added to the final payment. I paid the first third of the payment online as a deposit, and the remaining 2/3 got paid in person that day. I understandably did not want to carry hundreds of dollars in cash, so that was a little frustrating. If you are traveling to Cancun with a group I think the private boat is worth the cost. For 6 of us it ended up coming out to around 150 PP, not much different than the 100 ish PP that you'd pay to go on a public catamaran. It was really nice to have the private experience, and I wouldn't hesitate to rent with this company again if I found myself in Cancun!

Amazing Service + Thrilling Tours = Unforgettable Memories…read more My husband and I planned a last minute vacation 5 day vacation to Cancun the week of 4th of July. The week before leaving to Cancun, I was browsing the Cancun Best Discount website and as I was browsing (which I had already spent about 30 minutes on the website looking at what to choose) Martha contacted me. Martha was wonderful! She asked me what I was interested in doing and provided recommendations. We booked 3 tours with Martha: Tour #1: Whale Shark Adventure Tour #2: Coba Mayan Encounter Tour #3: Selvatica Air Assault Once we were booked, our confirmations were sent to us immediately. When we were in Cancun, Martha called our hotel room to confirm pick up times for our tours. On day 4 we had to change our Selvatica Gimme All tour to the Air Assault tour since we couldn't do an 8 hour tour. Martha was able to change the tour without a problem and refund the difference in tickets immediately! Talk about incredible customer service! All tours were AMAZING! Swimming with whale sharks was incredible! The group was small with about 8 people. We swam with about 20 whale sharks (I swear I am not kidding). Even though my husband and I do not get sea sickness, we did on this trip so make sure to take dremamine. While you are waiting for your turn to go in the water with the whale sharks you sit on the boat and it rocks A LOT! We were lucky to have spotted the whale sharks about 45 minutes into the trip and we were one of the boats to get to the whale sharks so we had a lot of time taking turns to swim with them. If you do this tour, you have to be in good shape since there is current and you have to keep up with the whale sharks - trust me they aren't as slow as they look. After the whale shark swim which was an incredible experience, we set out to eat a ceviche lunch docked at Playa Mujeres was a great relaxation after a day of chasing whale sharks. The Mayan Coba Encounter was great! The tour guide Isreal, zip lining, repelling into a cenote and climbing up Coba was remarkable. Our Mayan buffet lunch was tasty. The Selvatica Air Assault is for the young, adventurous heart. My husband and I were the only ones who chose that tour so we had 4 tour guides all to ourselves! The attention and interaction we had with our guides was so personalized. I could have done without all of the bridges in the tour, but our guides, the bungee and superman zip lines made it all worth it. I have traveled a lot and I must say this has been THE BEST tour and customer service experience EVER!! All of these tours are a MUST DO! I would call Martha and Cancun Best Discounts in a heart beat when vacationing in Cancun again.

A few comments though: 1 - we went on Tuesday, which apparently, Valladolid had a fiesta and so we did not stop, and just passed through it. If that was the plan of not stopping if there are fiestas, they should have informed us when we were booking. Would hvae been nice to walk around Valladolid. 2 - the tour guide just started talking after 1.5 hours on the bus en route. Wold have been more appropriate to say even a few words as soon as we drove off from the pick up area so to give us a bit of idea of what we are doing, how long is the drive, what to expect, etc. 3 - there were only 6 of us English speakers vs 30+ (i think) of the Spanish speakers on the bus. Antonio aka Kojak (i think was his name), our tour guide, gathered the English speaking tourists, but passed us to another tour guide from the other bus who had about 20+ people already. Would have been nice to have the guide with only a few people. Good thing, the other guide (Alfonso) did a good job. He knew a lot and was very articulate, and dressed the part.

I was lucky to experience a truly unique custom tour organized by Rod, the owner, and Limbert, our tour guide. From the very beginning, the service was impeccable--warm, personalized, and incredibly thoughtful. Limbert wasn't just a guide; he felt like a true friend welcoming us into his home. His knowledge of Mayan culture is outstanding, and visiting the ruins with him felt like traveling back in time--an educational and fascinating experience we wouldn't have had with anyone else. Swimming with the turtles was also absolutely out of this world. Limbert made sure everything was safe, smooth, and above all, magical. He also took us to amazing restaurants with authentic Mexican cuisine, far from the tourist traps and full of local flavor. Thanks to Rod and Limbert, my vacation was more than excellent--it was truly memorable. I recommend this tour to anyone who wants to discover the Yucatán Peninsula with depth, authenticity, and a personal touch you'll never forget.
