Weekdays it is open from 9 AM to 9 PM, but closed on Sundays. Huge lot for parking. The library itself is beautiful. There's a large fountain in the center of the building that gives the space a unique, open feel, and it makes the library feel more like a community gathering place with an air of nostalgia and calmness that comes with a spa day. There are lots of tables and study areas spread throughout the library, so it's never difficult to find a place to sit. The collections are plentiful, with a wide selection of books across different genres, mixed media, and materials for everyone including a dedicated children's area. One feature that was new to me was the Makerspace. It's available by appointment for library card holders, and you'll need to bring your own design or project idea. An instructor is there to guide you through the process, which makes it less intimidating for anyone interested in learning something new. It lives next to a café located on the lower level, which is convenient if you plan on spending a few hours studying or working. Overall, this is an amazing library with great amenities, plenty of space, and resources that go beyond books. This is somewhere I recommend everyone checks out when they're in the area - pun intended.

Not to mention, this library is one of the most safest and cleanest libraries I ever been to. Well granted I was from Long Beach/ LA area so our libraries there are pretty rough to say the least lol. This is a nice library - newer than the one they had closer to the middle of campus. I like the third floor (which is the library's 2nd floor - as the first floor is occupied by their computer center/tech lab). It's pretty quiet up here most of the time and the students keep to themselves. There are plenty of outlets on the third floor so you can plug in and recharge your laptop while you study. Plenty of seating as well - I like the ones that line the HUGE picturesque glass windows that overlook the parking lot, Goldenwest Street and beyond. You can see the mountain range far far in the backdrop on clearer days. A great plus is the strong wifi connection here and also that it was nicely ventilated/air conditioned - so it creates a nice refuge from the heat waves we've been having in the area lately. The staff/librarians here are friendly - I haven't had to use any of their services or expertise, but they're always cheerful/happy looking. Restrooms are clean for the most part - the ones on the 1st and 2nd floor tend to get messy throughout the door due to the traffic, the cleanest ones I feel, are on the 3rd floor as most students don't head up that high. Hours can be a bit better - maybe open later during the week and even have hours during the weekends if budget permits. Current hours - Mon/Tues/Wed/Thurs - 8a to 845p and Fridays 8am to 3p.

Wish I had visited earlier because it is truly a gem of a garden! Due to construction, we were only able to visit about half of the garden. That was a bummer, but what was available for viewing was gorgeous. From the cactus and succulent garden to the tropical banana trees to the seasonal flower beds and shade garden, it was all really beautiful. Also, there was an ikebana show and demo happening that day for free as part of our admission fee. It was a really cool show, the demos were super interesting, and my hubs won one of the pretty arrangements they raffled off! Such a great way to spend a morning.

Half of the…read morelibrary is under construction for their new project, so we didn't have full access to everything but we still enjoyed the live music and company. We brought our little pug as well. He had a fun time barking at all of the other four legged friends while exploring the grounds. They also had water bowls around the gardens as well as free treats for the furbabies. Lots of shade after 5pm! Overall fun experience. The tickets for Yappy Hour are a bit pricey considering how little of the gardens we got to see because of the construction. Still a fun experience seeing our little pug socialize with other dogs. Our tickets each came with a free drink voucher. They had a good selection of beers and wines. We'll definitely come back for the next Yappy Hour!

The library is about 2 minutes from the beach which makes it perfect for fresh air and a cafe type experience without the noise. Just bring your own coffee. There are plenty of coffee shops and cafes a block away. There are no homeless like at all the other libraries. This is a small neighborhood library that keeps with the tradition of what a library is supposed to be. Free wifi and again..no homeless. Great kids section with regular scheduled kid activities on yhe weekends. I am a fan and then some. Great neighborhood library!

From his early years as a youth, his military years, to his career as a Senator, Vice President, then President of America, it is all here. When people talk of this man, Watergate is always in the forefront of the conversation. And what happened then was a dark time for America, but that is not the full story of President Nixon. He did so much good during his service to our country, and it is all highlighted here. Every person should visit this museum. President Nixon started the EPA, the Clean Air Act, OSHA, Title IX, he was instrumental in the woman's rights movement and brought the Vietnam war to an end. He was the first U.S. President to visit both China and the USSR in attempts to bridge relations with these countries. And these are only a few of his accomplishments which are still shaping our country and our lives today. He loved his wife Pat greatly, and their relationship is one of the best parts of this tour. But what's more, the museum is actually on the very land his family owned. The house he was born and grew up in is still here on the property and the docents will take you on a guided tour thru it. Both his wife and he are laid to rest here too. Quite a place.

Lots of book choices and DVDs; convenient transfer process with sister locations. Access to Libby (digital networked library system for even more titles and magazines). Free. The best part is they are good about fines. The max fine for a late book is $10. That's it. (But if you lose a book, you pay for the book and a $10 administrative fee). The only thing I don't understand is what is upstairs? They recently did a remodel but still we cannot go up there. Swell hours; 9 am to 9 pm weekdays, like retail! And open on Sunday! Sweet!
