Most people who work here are nice but the owner is awful and off her rocker. If you need a last minute gift and are willing to overspend your budget then this is the place for you, but if you have extra time do not give her your business. read more

I very rarely write reviews but I thought this warranted one. I saw a post on social media that the store was having a sale on some bags and that they shipped. I called the store on a Friday (9/23) to purchase the bag and I wanted to have it shipped to me. The first time I called I spoke to a young girl who asked to give me a call back in about 30 min since she didn't know how to ship and the woman who did just stepped out. I waited and didn't receive a call back. I called again and after being put on hold a couple of times she asked if they could give me a call the next day. I said that was fine and if she could hold the bag for me until we figured out the shipping. Next day, no call. I called on Monday (9/26) again to order the bag. I had called numerous times with being asked if they could give me a call right back because they couldn't find the bag I had asked them to hold. After calling a few more times to figure out what was going on and with them telling me I would get a call back I was told they sold the bag they were supposed to have held for me. The woman I spoke to was apologetic and said they could sell me a slightly more expensive bag (different print) for the same price. I agreed and I paid for the bag over the phone and gave my address for shipping. About a week and a half later (10/6) I called to inquire about the tracking number because I never received it and I had not received the bag even though I only live an hour away. I was asked if she could give me a call right back. I never did get a call back. I called several times that night as well as the next morning without anyone ever answering the phone. At this point I decided to email the store and received a response from Lisa who apologized and offered a gift card (mentioned in 2 separate emails) for my troubles. I was told the bag had just been returned to them that day and that they had written down my address incorrectly, and that the bag would be shipped out again that day. I thanked her for the offer of a gift card and waited for the tracking number. 4 days later (10/11) I had still not received a tracking number even though I had asked for it the next day. She had told me she was in a small fender bender and had got side tracked but the bag would go out that day. I received the bag a couple days later and there was no gift card that had been previously mentioned in my email correspondence with Lisa due to the poor customer service. I reached out to her a few days later (10/17) thanking her for the bag and inquiring about the missing gift card. She informed me that she would mail me one and that was over 2 weeks ago. I have yet to receive the mentioned gift card and I'm honestly not expecting them to follow through with this at all. The customer service that I received was extremely poor and I would not recommend anyone to shop at Helen Thomas. I will not be a return customer at this shop. read more
