Parents live close by so we always stop in when we are around that way. Daughter loves having a fun time with all the play area toys. Always nice and friendly as well. Great pieces can always be found. read more

"Consignor Beware" I just had an awful experience being a first time consignor at this store. I walked into the store with several brand new STEM toys, which the employee behind the counter was very excited about. They took the items from me and briefly explained the consignment process, which entailed me signing a slip and the employee taking my email address, which I did not get a copy of. They told me that I would expect an email with an offer by Tuesday. She told me that if I don't see it, it will appear in my spam so that I should check there. Before I left the store, I clarified that I wasn't interested in store credit, and just a cash offer. She reiterated just check your email. I continued to check my email the day in which I was supposed to do so, and I did not receive an email. I called the store the following morning when they opened up, and an employee answered the phone. I tried to explain my situation, and she immediately was on the defensive, indicating that I didn't pick up the items or accept the offer, so now I have store credit. She was extremely rude, and did not want to entertain any options with me other than store credit. Her consignment policy is meant to benefit the store, and by no means does customer service play a role in their business. After pleading my case, she said that I could come pick up the items. Their lack of care in this situation proves that they do not want to nurture relationships with the people in their community. They are looking for their bottom line to grow. They have signs in the window that indicate cash on spot, but their actions indicate otherwise! Afterwards, I went online and noticed that I am not alone in this situation, and others have felt the impact of store ownership. This was stated in a response from the owner to another consignor, "We asked if you read the slip because if you hadn't we would have explained the buy process to you." Unfortunately, no one took the time to explain the process to me at all. They are hiding behind their perfectly disguised "process", and lacking in transparency. Prices are pretty high for second hand stuff. Easier to find brand new stuff on clearance for less! They also need to do a better job at cleaning items they are reselling!! Was horrified when I opened a baby chair covered in leftover food. read more

I hate waste so I'm always looking for second hand quality items. I love that I can always find them at children's orchard (even online) & I love their fill a bag event! I am always pleasantly surprised even when they are so busy how attentive they are between online ordering, in store pick up & the entire experience! read more

I love always checking out, and yes, purchasing something at the Rowley, Ma. Children's Orchard. I have been a loyal customer for years because of the quality merchandise they always supply. It is awesome that they found away to support both families financially with buying their gently used children items and selling them to others for affordable prices. read more

Always love buying and selling at Children's Orchard in Rowley. There is something for every kid at every age. Prices are very reasonable and they do great sales and events like fill a bag. Staff is wonderful and so helpful. I'm still an Amazon addict for some things, but I no longer buy my child's clothes online. They mostly come from Children's Orchard! read more

This is a follow-up to my recent review of the Rowley, Mass Children's Orchard store. Before this incident, I had never asked to exchange anything, or get a refund for clothing I purchased there. When I purchased clothing for my granddaughter I always asked if it could be exchanged for a different size if it didn't fit, and they always said yes, we know you. So I was totally shocked when they accused me of possibly trying to cheat them when I asked if I could exchange two pieces of clothing I recently purchased there because they didn't fit my granddaughter. I had the receipt and the original tags for both items. They refused to let me exchange them for a different size for the reason that "maybe my granddaughter had worn them." Mind you, this store specializes in selling used children's clothing and toys. I have never seen their return policy posted anywhere in the store, and it's not on their online site. But I believed them when they told me I could exchange clothing for a different size if it doesn't fit. They finally offered to refund half of what I had just paid for the clothing. I can only assume that the two ladies running the store were having a bad day and I was the only customer in the store they could take out their frustration on. (30+ years loyal customer) read more

Ok so its my nephews 4th birth day, and we ask him what do you want? He says " you know something i always want but never get is Starwars Angrybirds pants" So im thinking sweet walmart here i come....yeah they are no longer in production so i need them used. So i start calling literally everywhere in my area. Ok so now my experience with this store. I called a bunch of places looking for these, most places said i need to come down or they say no they dont have the second i asked as if....lol. This woman was kind enough to sympathise with the wish of the child and comment that if he was that specific thing he must want them for a reason so she looked. She went to actually see if they had them.... they didnt but the effort was very much appreciated. All in all i had the complete opposite experience as the other reviewer and when i saw this rating i had to share my experience because it was GREAT!. read more
