I stopped by to request a corsage for my wife for a special event. They immediately asked a few questions to make sure they knew what I wanted. They were even kind enough to request a picture of my wife's dress to make sure they could match the colors. Cost was reasonable and left me satisfied I wasn't paying a super inflated price for no reason. However, Helen's was worth every cent. The morning of the corsage was ready and the staff was almost as excited as I was for my night. I'm looking forward to my next event because I'll be back here for sure. read more

I paid $60 for a Teleflora arrangement for my sister's 70th bday. What she got was 1 white rose greenery & a purple bow. 3 days later the 4 mini roses were dead. I've ordered flowers for decades. I've never gotten a $15 arrangement! Before you say "it's not like online pics" as you told others you're right! Other florists at least do $45 arrangements if I pay $60. I ordered a bouquet for Valentine's over the phone. Asked for a bouquet with some red roses and stated "I wasn't looking for a bunch of long stem roses". What my wife received was ABSOLUTLY GOURGOUS. She was thrilled, pointing at the different flowers calling out what they were, I only recognized the (and the smell of) roses. I live out of state and my parents live in Stewartsville. For the last few years I've called the shop directly to get flowers for my mother. Mother's Day and birthday is usually my go to. Michelle and the staff at this shop have always taken care of me. The service is top notch. My mother has been very happy and the convenience of using a local flower shop has been great. My sister and I took a lot of time researching flowershopping.com to pick out the perfect floral arrangement. We thought the Peaceful Garden Spray was perfect to convey our sentiments for our deceased sister. Going through this website, the order was given to Helens Floral Shop in Phillipsburg NJ to makeup the arrangement and deliver it to the funeral home. Much to our surprise when we walked into the viewing and saw the arrangement that was delivered, we were appalled and horrified. Needless to say, not only were we disappointed but we were extremely upset and totally embarrassed that such a horrendous arrangement was delivered. We also paid an extra $10 for a ribbon stating Loving Sister. What was placed on the arrangement was nothing but something that looked like it was printed out from a photocopy machine. I contacted Helen's flower shop that made up and delivered the arrangement but was told I needed to contact flowershopping.com as it was ordered through their website and there was nothing that they could do. This I cannot understand as it was Helens Flower Shop that put this monstrosity together. Even the funeral home was appalled and will not be recommending this flower shop in the future. Charged me $65+ tax and handed me a custom ordered arrangement with: 1)as the central main flower, a lily in bloom with a very noticeable broken petal. 2) filler flowers in back were brown. The only reason that I gave them a 2 star rather than a 1 star rating was because they replaced the broken/aged flowers in the arrangement when I asked them to. But they shouldn't have tried to get away with this and I am never going back there. read more

We placed the order before reading the reviews which was a HUGE MISTAKE. My husband order my valentine's day flowers from them (2 dozen red roses) and once they were delivered he noticed that there was only 1 dozen and a mixture of random flowers in the bouquet. He immediately called them to question the order only to be dismissed and to be reprimanded that bc he ordered at the last minute and it was valentines day that they ran out of roses thus they took it upon themselves to add random flowers to the arrangement of what they felt were comparable flowers. I called and spoke to the manager Laura who was more than willing to help me. I am waiting on a credit for the error. I'm on the fence about this place, we'll see if the credit will be processed with out an issue. read more

Very very dissatisfied with a funeral flower piece. Ordered an arrangement and was delivered a completely different arrangement which was Of lesser value than what we paid. We're told due to COVID they couldn't get the proper flowers. were told that because we used a third party, flower shopping.com, we had to take it up with them. we were then told that because we did use the flowers for the funeral service we could not get a refund. The service was three hours long and not enough time to fix this. Even the funeral home was surprised that such an arrangement was delivered. Terrible... read more

Frankly, I am shocked to read the poor reviews. I have ordered flowers from Helen's Floral Shoppe several times. Each arrangement was beautiful, delivered on time, and a great value compared to the price. The arrangements typically stayed fresh two or three times longer than the typical supermarket bouquet. read more

I ordered the "Sunlit Meadows Bouquet" to be delivered on June 3, 2019. I used the FTD photo to make my selection. The arrangement had a large sunflower in it. The lady receiving this is nearly blind and I knew that she would be able to see the sunflower. The arrangement arrived with Gerber daisies, not sunflowers. I called Helen's and the woman said that she had personally made the arrangement and that she used a special sunflower that did not have a dark center! Gerber daisies are Gerber daisies! I took pics of the flowers but Helen's still felt that they had used sunflowers. Do not use this floral shop. They use what ever they have on hand. Very sad for a local store. Okay. Lived in Phillipsburg when I was a kid and y mom still lives there, but I am in Toronto Canada and send her flowers several times a year and was using Helen's after a few bad experiences with Phillipsburg Floral Co. But that said,I was getting ready to order flowers for Mother's Day, but when speaking with my mother was advised "Don't take this personally but maybe you shouldn't send me flowers this year." When I inquired further I found out she had contacted the store after Easter flowers and was told "Maybe your son should order flowers from someone else". In all honesty I am a little shocked by this. That any business would advise a customer to shop elsewhere is unconscionable. I did not realize that business was so great you could pick and choose customers. Very unprofessional. read more

I have even brought in a special ribbon to use, changed the type of flowers on a spray and asked for color changes and have ALWAYS been told no problem! I ordered flowers from this shoppe using their web site. I picked out the FTD Stunning Beauty Bouquet because it looked so good on the web site. I got a call from the florist on the day of delivery to inform me that the purple flowers were unavailable and that they would substitute another flower if ok, it was ok with me as long as the bouquet looked good and was comparable. I got a picture of the bouquet that arrived and it did not look anything like the picture online. I contacted Helen's Floral Shoppe and Melanie who informed me that the arrangements never look like they do in the FTD ads. She compared FTD to Burger King - the burgers look good in the commercials but not like the ones you get when you buy one (this was her comparison, not mine). She explained to me that advertising was that way and was not interested in making sure that I was happy. She said that she has lots of satisfied customers and that I just don't understand advertising and real life. I think I do understand when I have been ripped off and I wonder if she just does this to online customers or to her "local" customers as well. I will never again use this company and I am filing a complaint with FTD and my credit card company. My mom for many years always used Helen's so it was only natural for me to use them too...every time I need an arrangement I went to Helen's. I also had them do both my daughters Sweet 16's there. Both were formal at a banquet hall so the totals for both were a big amount. During the summer I called them for a funeral arrangement to be sent. I paid what I was told was paid in full. Then I get a bill for 6.50....I forgot about it & the bill kept coming. Honestly after all the business I did with them you think they'd drop it since 6.50 is a measly amount after all I've paid them. Well I sent the check in & I will never use Helen's again! Actually the last time I did I found them rude too. They have no business sense as to how to keep a long term customer. The original owners were really good...the new owners have much to be desired.! It's not the amount but the principal! I would never recommend Helen's to anyone read more
