Sorry didn't catch the name but has phyllo dough and custard and then covered in powdered sugar.

Second time here and decided to write review since both times were delicious. Always a long line, but they are well equipped to handle it and will go by fast.

So many varieties of baklava, today's chocolate was fabulous. Greek coffee, ice cream, breads ... We always make sure to save room for a Greek dessert when we are in Tarpon Springs.

We came to visit Tarpon Springs this weekend because neither I nor my husband had ever been here despite living in Florida for about 30 years. It was a nice surprise. We had lunch but walked around the cute little sponge docks area both before and after lunch. This bakery caught my eye and I decided to stop in after lunch. It is a pretty big space with tons of cases filled with delicious looking bakery items. I have always been a fan of baklava so I decided to get the twelve piece assorted package of tradional Greek pastries. There were two pieces of baklava and they were delicious. The other items were similar items with most having a combination of nuts, honey, cinnamon, coconut, and chocolate. Definitely worth the price of twenty dollars. Service was also pretty quick as they have a lot of staff working.

Stopped by for some sweet treats and we were pleasantly surprised. I went in for baklava and left with an entire box of goodies. The baklava were amazing and I would highly recommend. Some of the other desserts were just okay.

Stopped in for baklava to go. Super busy & fast moving bakery. Large orders going out. I got 2 baklava & was out in less than 5 min. Super nice staff working hard to please customers! The baklava is as good as it gets from this Greek community! Yum

Stopped for a sweet treat 2 different times while on vacation and they definitely exceeded expectations! Definitely worth a stop if you are on the fence!

We went out to the sponge docks in Tarpon Springs to have lunch and walk around all of the cute little shops and we came across this bakery - so many sweet treats and delicious looking pastries to choose from. I got the green cannoli - it was HUGE, and also really tasty. Awesome little bakery, highly recommend giving it a try if you're in the area.

Hella's is the best bakery and has so many delicious treats - it is so hard to make a decision, but this is why it's good to go with a group of people because you can order a lot of items and share! When we arrived, there was not much of a line and we were able to order pretty quickly. We ordered the Napoleon, the Black Forest cake and a strawberry mousse cake. Everything was plated quickly and we were all able to enjoy a few bites of each. I also had my pup with me, so he was happy with his pup cup (which was as big as he is)! They really do take good care of pups here too! Once we were done with our first round, we actually needed more! So we asked for the coconut cake and I really wanted some ice cream! Great choices were made and the servers and staff were all so friendly and helpful. I will always have time to visit Hella's when we visit Tarpon Springs.

I visited the bakery just yesterday and was overwhelmed with the large selection of delicious looking pastries, cakes, etc. I had an Italian canole which was wonderful. I came back today and had a chocolate baklava cheesecake that was rich but also delicious. I'd highly recommend this place for anyone searching for great dessert!

If you find yourself at the Sponge Docks you are going to want to visit Hella's, an amazing one of a kind Greek bakery. The joy you get from visiting Hella's is thanks to Bob and Maria Karterouliotis. In the summer of 1969 the couple immigrated from Sparta, Greece, to the United States where they settled in Chicago and opened the original Hellas Bakery. As their success grew, they opened additional bakeries around the Chicago area. In 1983 the Karterouliotis family moved to Florida and opened a Hella's in Clearwater. In 1985 Hella;s opened in Tarpon Springs on the Sponge Docks and it is still run by generations of the Karterouliotis family. I visited the bakery for a sweet treat but they also operate a restaurant next door. Hellas has a staggering selection of Greek pastries, coffees, and all kinds of desserts. They are famous for their baklava and my friend swears that their Greek pastries are the best but I was in a cannoli mood. Prepare for large crowds but they whip through them quickly. Hella's is an iconic Sponge Dock staple.

Came here with my grandparents today for dessert and it was great! Fun place to bring family or friends. We got an almond cake and a Greek chocolate mousse cake. Since all the desserts were so pretty I wasn't sure if they would taste as good as they looked but they did! The employees were very friendly and let us take our time picking out what we wanted since there were sooo many options. My only complaint would be that it was hard to choose!

If your looking for a sweet treat look no further than Hellas Bakery. If you cant find something there to satisfy the sweet tooth then keep on walking. This Greek bakery has everything you can imagine and then some, from the most delicious looking Pasta ( Greek word for cake), cookies, pastries and ice cream. As soon as you walk into the bakery enter the line to order even if you are wanting ice cream you must use the line with the red ropes. Once in line you can see the case of pastries and decide what to oder once you are the front of the line. One of the employees will take your order and you can pay them with the little electric machine or pay at the register. I recommend paying at the register as I paid with the machine and my order was lost and was over 15 minutes and me asking where my order was for it to be filled. Ordered the Strawberry Kok and Oreo Pasta. The Strawberry Kok was not very sweet and without the Strawberry glaze didn't have much Strawberry flavoring and would not order this dessert again. The Oreo Pasta (Cake) did taste like Oreo's but again not very sweet which was kind of nice. Huge selection of items from Greek Sweet Bread, eclairs and some type of cookie that kind of looks like poop!! I say be bold and order it!

Louis Wohl & Sons (the same folks who advertise on TV) have both a wholesale operation selling to commercial restaurant operations, as well as an entire retail store (Chef's Warehouse) which is open to the general public. The two facilities are located in a very large building along 46th Street in between Fowler Ave and Busch Blvd. The building is located in a quiet residential area of town, south of USF and very near MOSI. As you enter the doorway to Chef's Warehouse you're greeted by one of the staff who will gladly walk you around the store answering your questions and helping you find various items. If you're a home cook looking for items that are a bit sturdier, and will last a bit longer than what you might find in a high-end cookware store at the mall, then Chef's Warehouse is the spot for you. They have pots, pans, bakeware, cooking utensils, high-quality knives, cutting boards, bar ware, food storage containers, and a wide variety of plates, glasses, cutlery, and serving items. If you frequently throw dinner parties, or just enjoy entertaining at home then you'll marvel at the selection at Chef's Warehouse. This is the perfect place to visit if you have a small catering or food truck business. I walked in today looking for some extra half-sized sheet pans and cooling racks for tomorrow's big chicken wing roasting festivity, and found exactly what I wanted at a price MUCH cheaper than I would have paid at the better-known cookware stores. In general the quality of the cookware is superior since these items are designed to be used in commercial kitchens, and the price is often better as well. Take a tip and pay this place a visit!

Louis Wohl & Sons sell to commercial restaurants, but they also have the retail store "Chef's Warehouse". There are not many restaurant supply stores that are open to the public, so this was a great find. My boyfriend is a line cook, as well as a cook at home. He had become interested in buying newer/better cookware, similar to what he uses at his job. We have gone there twice, and left with a frying pan, chef's jacket, knife, knife guard, and meat thermometer. They also have chef shoes and pants, strainers, dishware, hot dog warmers, coolers, pots, and a myriad of other kitchen utensils. Since they mainly cater to restaurants, some of the prices are pretty steep for an individual. For example, we will not be paying $70 for a frying pan. However, there are plenty of reasonably priced options for those who are more money conscience. If you are a cook and interested in some high quality kitchen ware, you should check out this place.

As I examined the tattered, post-apocalyptic front entrance, my loins swelled with excitement, and my shoulders rolled back which consequently puffed my chest. I could smell the kitchen gods screaming in my ear... "Big savings. Big savings, man." I sighed. I was ready. My first thoughts inside, though? "Oh my goodness, this place must have been featured on an episode of Hoarders (A&E)." With stacked brown boxes hugging the ceiling, dim sum steamer trays hovering overhead, and a grip of Japanese knives hanging from shelves, this store would probably wet an Asian restaurant owner's pants. And mine became wet, too, when I saw the marvelous, thirty-plus quart pots near the entrance for only $45ish. Sure, I don't like aluminum all too much, but for one-time use, and when compared to high-end kitchen stores that charge north of $100--although, very nice-- for something less than 15 quarts, it's a solid deal. But yeah, they have every kitchen supply one could ever want at an affordable price, such as a $2.79 soup skimmer. Hours earlier, we bought one for $20 at a fancy store. Crapppppp. The owner, who also works at a nearby cafe, answered all our questions and worked hard to find an ideally sized pot. I would have a cold beer with him. Heineken, of course.
