When I arrived to pick him up at 3:30pm that afternoon, after just having a 90 minute full body massage, I was a bit out of it, and was in shock when I saw Dallas. He had been shaved down to his coat!!!! I was rightfully upset and expressed my concerns to the SUPER unprofessional, Manager, on duty! She did not apologize nor refund my money. I went the next day, and showed the SUPER unprofessional attendant, "Deshawn '' and he took photos of Dallas and asked me to "give him a few minutes" so I stepped outside. I came back in and he said that he called "Mia" and she said "you were rude yesterday" and he could not do anything. I was only "rude" AFTER she was blatantly nonchalant with regard to what they DID to my dog. It is WINTER and they (Courtney Fields) took all his fur off and WITHOUT my approval. So much so that his ears are no longer covered, and his sweaters DO NOT FIT HIM. In addition the cut IS VERY uneven, especially around his eyes and neck. My poor baby. Mia is incredibly rude and they have not issued my refund. I have attached before and after photos of my dog as well as the filth that was around the front office area. SO DIRTY!!! If I requested a FULL refund of $66.00 by the end of business on Tuesday, December 26th, 2023, and have not heard from anyone. DO NOT GO HERE! I was referred to this business through my mother, who had been referred by the owner's sister. On 9/21, I called to inquire about grooming services after my original appointment with Furry Friends was canceled. During the call, I learned they also offered boarding, so I arranged for both grooming and boarding in mid-October. We had a 20-minute conversation where everything was confirmed, and she provided her personal number for me to send my pet's shot records. On 9/22, I called her again to confirm the grooming price since she had only given me the boarding fee and to ensure she received the shot records. She never returned my call. I followed up with the business on 9/23 and spoke to a man (likely her husband), who said she'd return my call, but she never did. I called again on 10/4, spoke to the same man, who said he would take a message. He called me back a minute later after forgetting my details and ensured she would call me. Still, no one called me back. On 10/8, I decided to stop by the business since phone communication seemed ineffective. The parking lot was empty, except for one truck, and no one appeared to be inside. I called the business number while standing outside, but no one answered. I then called Erika's personal number and left a message, which still hasn't been returned as of today, 10/10. The same man called me back shortly after, took another message, and promised a return call, but it never happened.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM AND WOULD NOT HIRE THEM AGAIN…read more We hired Barking Up the Right Tree (BURT) for the first time as part of a five-day, five-night pet-sitting engagement for our two dogs, agreeing to five walks and five overnight stays with a female sitter (our dogs tend to prefer women) and a military discount. During this time, we experienced three issues, all of which we brought to their attention (vs. of the other way around): 1. The first pet sitter brought her fiancé along without our knowledge or permission, which we caught on our doorbell. The excuse was that he was experiencing "a distressing personal situation." This is not only extremely unprofessional; it's a liability. We let it go and asked that it not happen again. 2. The second pet sitter, who was booked for an overnight stay, left at 9:45 PM to spend the night at her own home. At first, we thought she went to get dinner, but after two hours, we contacted the owners again. They confirmed she went home because she interpreted my offer "to stay in our guest room if she wanted" meant she did not actually have to stay overnight, despite the fact we paid for an overnight stay. They sent her back and took one night off our bill. At this point, I started wondering if I needed to fly home; this was not going well. 3. A couple of days later, we returned home only to find that the first pet sitter had burned the interior of our built-in microwave and melted the interior door panel by heating up metal dog bowls in it, twice. She could have caught our kitchen on fire. When contacted, the owners confirmed she did it but claimed she didn't know you can't microwave metal or where alternate bowls were located. I would assume this is common sense, but you'd think you'd stop the microwave after it started sparking the first time. I also sent her a photo of my instruction letter where I had explicitly mentioned where the other bowls were. Despite our open communication throughout this experience, their manager blamed us for the sitters' errors and made both excuses (e.g., "they're not our employees; they're independent contractors") and sarcastic comments ("we don't put trackers on them"). She informed us that our "old" microwave was worth $100 "if that." It's a built-in, name-brand appliance with a replacement cost almost three times that. After everything, she also decided it was a good time to ask for proof of my husband's military service, questioning his integrity. When you trust someone with both your pets and your home, you might expect them to treat you a little better.
