Was at the atlanta airport today, traveling on military orders and got stuck at the counter due to them not calling and updating us that our cat would no longer be able to go with us in the cabin. I got a hold of Ricky to see if I could leave my cat at the airport and he could ship him so I could make my flight! Unfortunately pushed it too close cause I had 25 minutes to boarding but Ricky was able to come in under 15 minutes and drop of an airline approved crate to make my next flight go smoothly! This kennel is a great option for shipping a dog through Atlanta with an overnight stay or a lay-over over 6 hours. They are very reliable and good at letting you know where your dog is. They have a great relationship with airline personnel and can make sure your dog is safe and comfortable. I highly recommend them. read more

New owners, horrible service. I took my border collie in to be groomed I would assume that a groomer knows what a properly groomed border collie looks like. They did not. Her grooming was absolutely butchered they shaved off all of the hair that makes her look like a border collie and with much shorter than my wife asked for. It's January... Dogs need longer hair. And addition to new owners the prices have almost doubled. Horrible service at twice the price good luck with that business model we will never go back again. We were loyal customers with the previous owners and groomers. Our dog has been going there for six or seven years. read more

Due to Mechanical Failures, my full coated Cocker Spaniel was recently left stranded at an East Coast airport who had no over night facility for live animals. Delta Airlines gave me the option to send my dog to their approved Overnight Kennel Facility in Atlanta. Dandy Scottie Kennels. It was late in the day on the East Coast, Delta Airlines personnel were reassuring in informing me of where my dog was at all times. When I was informed that this kennel facility was off Airport property, it raised concern and my research brought me to the NEGATIVE comments posted on the Internet. My concern heightened when I was not able to contact a human on my attempts to call the facility at 6PM. regarding my dog s arrival and pickup from a 9pm flight. Delta personnel assured me that all would be fine,,, commenting that many Delta employees use the facility for their own pets and have only good comments. No sleep for me that night,, my concern was for my dog,, a show dog who travels a lot, who had been locked in her kennel for over 15 hours. She was only spending 7 hours at the kennel to be put on a flight home in the morning. My wish was that someone kind and loving to animals would allow her out to potty. There was not much more I could do being 3000 miles away in California. At 3am California time, I placed a call to Delta Airlines to verify that my dog would make her flight home. The agent commented that her tracking showed that the dog was present at the counter 2&1/2 hours before her flight. This agent added, without me asking,,, you know, the facility here in Atlanta is excellent. The gentleman there loves animals, I take my dog there to be groomed while I am at work - I was so relived to hear this from a totally anonymous person. My dog arrived in San Francisco at 10AM (5 hr flight),, and out of the crate it appeared that someone had taken the time to brush this FULL COATED Cocker Spaniel out. I expected her to be anxious to get out and take care of business,,, she was totally content,, and apparently had be exercised before being put on the plane. NOTE: there were 4 Doberman puppies - International Imports from Prague on the same DELTA flight who stayed at the same Kennel Facility. They were in two separate kennels (2 pups each). The pups and kennels were Clean and apparently serviced (bathed and exercised) prior to being sent on to SFO This breeder also expressed his inability to contact the kennel personnel via telephone to verify the pickup of his puppies,,, but both he and I could realize the CARE and SERVICE given to our dogs while at Dandy Scottie Kennels / Delta Airlines Kennel Service. Five Stars minus ONE due to my inability to contact personnel who would be responsible for taking possession of my precious cargo Thank YOU whoever you are,, for taking good care of my girl. Delta Airlines / Yahoo should make some effort to REMOVE or refute the negative Review. People such as myself do depend on truthful reviews especially in situations such as this. This negative review had many OPEN loopholes, and causes much undue concern to those reading it. read more

I recently returned to Minnesota from Costa Rica and brought my rescue pup Toto home with me. I used a pet transit service (Pet Lounge CR) to manage his travel and prepared myself for the angst and emotion of waiting and watching Delta Cargo tracking to manage his progress home. I was surprised and delighted to receive a personal phone call from the owner of Dandie Scottie Kennel where he was boarded en route to let me know that Toto had arrived safely in the U.S., and was relaxed and doing well. I asked him to give my pup a hug for me and two minutes later he sent me a photo of him giving Toto a big hug! I sent it to all my friends who are all on "Toto Watch 2018" waiting for his arrival. My German Shepherd flew from Oregon to Georgia and then onto Tampa, Florida. He spent the night at Dandie Scottie Kennels because Delta did not have a flight the same day to Tampa. I was soo worried! This is my baby. He means everything to me. I asked Delta to please call and make sure Dandie Scottie Kennels were at the airport to pick him up. When you are 2600 miles away you do need trusting people to keep your sanity! Delta called and made the arrangements. I didn't feel right though, so I called and spoke to Dandie's groomer. Very nice lady she understood my concerns! I asked her to please have her driver call me the minute he had my dog in his possession. I track the plane. His plane landed and I got a call for the sweetest voice in the world telling me my baby was safe and sound. That man was Ricky Bevins, a great employee of Dandie Scottie Kennels. He told me he was putting out a blanket for my boy and he would be in a nice warm safe kennel and he would be the one taking him to his flight the next day to Tampa. My worries and anxiety all ended! This man took the time to call me and assure me that all was fine. Bravo!!! Dandie Scottie Kennel is the best in my book and anyone flying or lodging their beloved pet to Atlanta needs to check them out! Dandie Scottie Kennels and Ricky Bevins, my hat is off to you!
