I have been having various parts of my body waxed for years. However, the last time I had a very *ahem* tender area done, it was so painful and embarrassing, that I haven't had it done in 5 years. I was hesitant to readdress this area, but I was tired of shaving/ingrown hairs. Sugar Me was recommended by a friend so I have it a try. HUGE difference this time. Layne was quick, thorough, and somehow made me feel comfortable in a rather revealing situation. My appointment was for a Brazilian, but she made time for an eyebrow, lip and knuckle wax as well (I'm a hairy person, sad but true) The entire appointment was less time that I had planned on for just the Brazilian. The really incredible part tho, was that I left with knowledge for caring for my incredibly sensitive skin that had never been shared with me in all the years of waxing. I got waxed today by Ramona and she was INCREDIBLE. I've only ever done sugaring before but decided to try wax this time and my experience was great. Ramona was so knowledgeable and it was obvious that she knew exactly what she was doing. She talked me through everything and made the whole experience as pleasant as it could be. There's never going to be a waxing session that is going to rank in my top 5 most favorite experiences ever. It doesn't feel good. But I think that's why it's so important to find a waxing salon that is as comfortable as possible without trying to pretend you're in for one of the most relaxing experiences of your life. Sugar Me was fantastic. And the waxing specialist, Layne, is a waxing goddess. Here's why. 1. She was quick. She removed the hair I came in to have "disappeared." And she somehow got it accomplished without hurting me so much I spent the time envisioning taking off her head. 2. Not only was she simply good at what she was doing, but she was entertaining. Kind of a bonus at the waxing salon. She even had me laughing at one point. And I've got to say (sounds weird), but it was a fantastic distraction from the discomfort of being waxed. 3. When all was said and done, I could still look my waxing technician in the eye. Admit it, when you go to get waxed, when it's all over, you high tail it out of there like the hounds of hell are after you and you look anywhere but at the girl who just spent a small chunk of her life removing your unwanted hair. It's uncomfortable and you want to act like it didn't happen. That was SO not the case at Sugar Me Wax. The entire experience was surprisingly comfortable. In the past, at other waxing salons when I said the experience was life altering, I would have done so with a shudder and changed the topic to one less awkward and horrid. When I say that Sugar Me Wax was a life altering experience, I'll be doing so with a smile on my face. It was easy. It was not excruciating (painless is going too far, but the end result of waxing is completely worth it). It was surprisingly well done for how quick the appointment went. And I will definitely not be wandering in to just and old waxing salon from now on. This is the place. My legs are very excited to wear shorts again and I have Sugar Me to thank. :) read more

I have never been a person to leave a bad review, however I had a was shocked by the experience. With that being said, the manager Nicole reached out to me not only on yelp where it made the company look better but on my personal phone number. I stated in my last review this company did not care about their consumer but I no longer feel that is the case. While I feel my circumstance was mishandled, I do think had I reached out to management my concern would have been handled professionally. I understand mistakes can be made when texting into a phone number, and the manager resolving the issue with the highest level of professionalism, which made a world of difference in my opinion of this company. I have had several aestheticians, each has been super friendly and done a great job. I do recommend this company and if you have any issues I suggest speaking with management (instead of making a rash decision about the company). read more

I had a horrible experience with Sugar Me Wax from start to finish today. And I'd like to preface this by saying I've never left a review for a business before because I've never received bad service until today. I scheduled waxing at the Camelback location for trip I have in a couple of days. I show up at Suite 10 (as said in my email) and knock. After 5 minutes, finally someone answers and tells me to go upstairs. Okay, it was supposed to be in suite 10 but whatever. I go upstairs and it takes another 5 minutes to finally find it since I was given no directions and have never been here before. I knock on the door and no one answers. I wait 5 minutes only to discover the room is empty. I call to see what is going on and no one answers. I wait and call again. At this point it's 11:15 for an 11:00 appointment. Someone finally answers. She tells me that she will call me back and figure out what is going on. After 10 minutes and no call back, I call again. She said she didn't have my number in the system to call back (even though my email is in the system) and that the woman who was scheduled called out sick. Now, I'm not an irrational person. People get sick and I understand that. However, when these things happen you need to call or email customers! It was now 11:25. I've wasted 30 minutes getting here, 25 minutes to figure out what is going on, and now I have to drive 30 minutes back. This entire situation was unprofessional. I cannot speak to the service here as I haven't received any, this was my first appointment and I will not be rescheduling or coming back and will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

Micki is the best! Super personable, she talked to me the entire time and let me know when it was going to hurt so I could brace myself. She also educated me about the waxing process and how the hair grows and would eventually thin out. She 100% knows what she's doing! I would not recommend, though the provider Lexi was friendly she didn't walk me through how the procedure was done at this facility (probably because i said i had done sugaring before) even though their process was different. Never had i just been asked to undress and lay on a table with my legs spread open without providing any privacy. In addition the wax was not very warm and was not comfortable as it was drug across my hair, so in addition to the "ripping off" being painful, so was the application. All the other sugaring facilities i have been to the wax was much softer and warmer and glided over with ease. The provider was VERY rough with pulling my hair off and did it in HUGE large chunks and didn't provide any breaks for my skin to have a break. There was a "cooling" cream applied without really talking me through how long i would be burning/tingling - it was very uncomfortable. Will not come back. read more
