In the morning I filled out the forms via text and when I got to my appointment all I had to do was check in real quick and was seen after maybe a two minute wait. Brianna was amazing! I always have a great experience with Angel. She's very personable and makes the Brazilian experience a little less awkward. Hello Sugar offers 2 options for Brazilians. They have the traditional wax and also offer sugaring. I like that I was given the option of which product I wanted to use. It turns out I prefer the sugar to the wax. I tend to have sensitive skin. In the past I've had issues at other salons where I've broken out afterwards or even had product stick to my skin after or even during service. I've had none of these issues at Hello Sugar. There may be a slight residue afterwards but nothing terrible. I've had minimal ingrowns and irritation afterwards. I highly recommend the sugaring. I've had two different different people since I've been there. Both have been great. Angel has been my go to now for several months and she takes great care of me. She is very meticulous and listens to my concerns. She's great about remembering the things I tell her and my areas of concern and watching out for them. I'm very thankful for her. I've added additional services since I started seeing her and I'm very glad to have found her. It's nice that their room is the first one on the right once you enter the building, especially if you're waiting for them to finish with previous client and can sit in main lobby area instead of awkwardly standing around. Got my first Brazilian wax and it went great! Izzy is amazing! I highly recommend her. She made the process easy and was very nice.

First off the pictures on Google and Yelp of the "wax salon" are fake or from another location. When you walk into the door marked with the business name you walk directly into the waxing room. It is tiny, with boxes of supplies and product stacked taller than me (5' 5") on the floor right next to the waxing bed. Not only is this possibly a HEALTH CODE issue but because the boxes are in the the way it only gave Mariana access to one side of the table to do my Brazilian. Second, I have been getting Brazilians for a long time, at many different salons in different states. THIS WAS THE MOST PAINFUL BRAZILIAN I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED. Brazilians should, at most, be slightly uncomfortable at times, but not so painful your gripping the table! Third, when Mariana was "finished" with my wax, I very distinctly felt there were bits of wax still remaining in places there shouldn't be. When I asked her about this she laughed and said "you really think I would leave wax on you!". There was no attempt on her part to clean up, wipe down, lotion, cream, toner ect offered or done when she was finished with my wax. When I asked for a paper towel or something to clean up a little bit with I was told there was a bathroom down the hall I could use after I got dressed! When I asked about products for ingrown hair, despite seeing a small shelf of their company product and reading about a few on the website before I came in ( which after reading about on their site I had already decided I was going to purchase at my appoint) I was only offered an exfoliating glove, and she told me to "START EXFOLIATING RIGHT AWAY". I'm not an esthetician and from 10+ years of waxing I know this advice is wrong!! I was also expected to undress and redress in front of my esthetician and given no privacy. As I was getting dressed I then watched in horror as she ADDED NEW WAX THE THE WAX SHE WAS JUST FREE DIPPING INTO WITH ME. To make things worse, After leaving and using the restroom I did indeed find wax still stuck to me, in multiple locations, wax that not only did I attempt to bring to her attention, but would have been seen with even the slightest post wax clean up attempt by Mariana. In all my years of getting Brazilians and getting waxed in general this was the most worst, most unprofessional, painful waxing experience of my life! Frankly this place is extremely shady if you want a quality wax of any sort GO ANYWHERE ELSE IN TUCSON BUT HERE. Mariana herself is a nice enough kid, but is clearly lacking in basic training and experience, when your esthetician tells you mid wax, they left hair dressing to go into waxing because "IT WAS THE EASIEST THING SHE COULD DO" that is your sign to drop everything and run folks. I didn't learn from my experience and DO NOT GO HERE. read more

Miranda was great - always communicating with me about what products she was using, where we were in the process and when to breathe in and out (very helpful for sugaring/waxing)! This was the first place I've been where you just undress from the waist down in front of the esthetician without them leaving the room, but that didn't bother me bc she was about to see it all anyway. I saw Dr. Porter in Seattle Washington starting in 2012 for Bowen treatment and as a general practitioner she is very professional and personable. She took her time with me and was very thorough, which I appreciated so much because I have multiple health issues. She takes the time to understand each issue individually and also the whole body aspect. I would highly recommend her. Her Bowen treatments kept me going without them I would not have been able to function day to day. read more

Let me start off by saying I've been coming here for about 2 years. My first experience was great ! loved the girls the vibes everything was awesome and had been until now. Recently my last 2 waxes have not been done to the best of the esthetician's ability. My most recent wax was Dec. 2nd not even a FULL WEEK and I have hair growth from the hair follicle being broken and not waxed properly. Today is the Dec.7. I understand this happens in some areas of being waxed that the follicle can brake. In my case it's not some areas it's the whole area. Do not believe the Google reviews - or at the very least, choose someone specifically that has been mentioned several times and is highly recommended. I've never had a less experienced esthetician. Just like the previous review said of this individual, as soon as the twisting and pulling started, I knew something was wrong. After switching to hard wax, the horror continued - the strip was breaking off each time! Waxing is painful by nature, but it is quick pain. Slow and painful waxing due to inexperience and incorrect temperatures was more than I could handle. I asked her to please stop, and instead of apologizing that in 25 minutes she only managed three agonizing "strips" (which all broke, by the way) she had a horrible attitude. I had been going to Hello Sugar for almost two years and the first year I had such a good experience primarily with Angel. This past year has been pretty awful in contrast, culminating in the single worst experience I've ever had at salon in Tucson. They now seem to have a revolving door of estheticians, and my recent experience was a complete fiasco. My appointment was supposed to be with Madison who I had seen before, and instead I showed up only to be locked out of the building, and then Iliana came and let me in. She then proceeded to wax both my eyebrows and chin, which was horrible. She used sugar on my chin, and clearly didn't know what she was doing. She kept pulling and tugging and at one point I even suggested she just use regular wax. I don't know if she hasn't been trained correctly, but she then proceeded to wax my eyebrows and kept spreading the wax in multiple directions which definitely wasn't right. You can only imagine my shock when she handed me the mirror and there was wax ALL OVER my face, my sweater and my jacket. She then informed me that 'you can get it off with water' to which I replied it was unacceptable - so she rubbed most of it off and then gave a feeble 'sorry'. Not once did she use tweezers to get any stray hairs. I'm pretty sure when you leave a salon you shouldn't have to go home and get wax off of yourself and then also use tweezers to finish the job. Needless to say I complained to Hello Sugar and was provided a text message that the Tucson manager Rebecca would call me within 24 hours. Well that was Friday and it's now Tuesday. I waited to provide this review and hoped she would contact me, but as you can see they clearly don't care about customer service, or apparently training their estheticians correctly. read more

I had my first ever Brazilian wax today with Raven and she was wonderful. I am a plus size girl and I was nervous my size would be an issue, but Raven didn't bat an eye. She was very kind, professional and made me feel comfortable. Plus I hardly felt any pain, she has magic hands when it comes to waxing. There were a few areas that had some residual hair which is the reason for the 4 stars but I did make an appointment to go back in 5 weeks because I had such a great experience! read more

So good. I was getting waxed regularly at European Wax center. I ignored the bad reviews because I have a lame schedule. I can never get into good locally owned places with my hours. They were leaving me patchy every time and just not friendly. On top of them having to push sales continually at you. They even tried arguing with me about exfoliating just to buy their products. A friend told me about the sugar waxing and I looked and booked same day. Dude, never soft/hard waxing my cookie again!! so smooth. She took excellent care of me. I felt safe. They let you in one at a time. She talked the entire time. I didn't even realize I was finished. It was so fast. And not fast because she rushed or anything. Fast because it was good quality.
