Hello tech helped me reschedule a new tech and then the day of my appointment, they cancelled my appointment. In the mean time the first Tech that showed up hung up our $700 sound bar and it fell off the wall one day later!!! Broke it!!! This company will not help at all. Easy schedule.The Ring Pro did not work the first time, I got a replacement and they came right out a second time to install--I was not charged for the first attempt at installation. Through all their rambling, they tried to insert a window and I was working on a tight schedule so I would not agree to that window of time for arrival. I needed a tech first thing in the morning. After they said the tech would be there, I asked if I pay now and they said no. Checked my email at the end of the night and they confirmed me for an afternoon slot which is not what I agreed to and THEN charged my card which they kept on file from a previous service. THEN emailed to say the tech is no longer with the company and they are having difficulty finding a tech to fill that slot. The tech reached out to me within a couple hours of my placing the order to confirm the time and place. He then called me the day before to confirm. He was knowledgeable and helpful. He fixed the main problem I was having, warning me ahead of time that I would have to reinstall my applications but would save my files. He helped me get the drivers back up to date and my monitor working correctly. A very good service performed in my home for a reasonable price. I chose an appointment time 36 hours later; earlier times were possible but didn't work with my schedule. [Follow up] Used the phone service today to troubleshoot a problem connecting to a shared printer. Tech was very helpful and efficient. This was included in the annual fee that I paid for the first problem. While the onsite repairs need an appointment, the phone support does not. read more

Th installer rushed the install and left the sticky backing of the double sided tape all over the house. Bad service to not clean up after yourself. Multiple sensors have fallen off due to incorrect positioning of sensors on windows. Motion sensor has fallen off in our single car garage. He didn't seem to have a step ladder and used mines which I thought was strange since he should have came prepared. He was very rough with the equipment on my brand new quartz counter top. Honestly if I knew the install would be this bad, I would have saved the $79 and done it myself. Now I have to go through reinstall the system. read more

The tech was a no-show on the day he was scheduled. After I called because nobody contacted me, he was scheduled for the following day. On the second day he was about 45 minutes late. (although this time I got a message saying he was going to be late). When he arrived at our house, he had a friend with him. His friend did not introduce herself - and he didn't introduce her other than to say she had helped him with transportation - and she basically sat around our house while he worked. During his visit, he had to call Tech Support for assistance on installing an Ad Blocker. I heard the Hello tech support person tell him that his question was something that is up to his discretion. Seemed he should have been better prepared for this. It seems that HelloTech did very little, if anything, to train this Tech on the basics of professionalism, customer service, and communication. read more

SUPER disorganized!!! I ordered a wall mount from Walmart and had to deal with this HORRIBLE company for the installation. First, it wasn't clear that I had to call them separately to schedule an appointment to have the installation. I thought it came with the delivery of the wall mount. So I initially thought the installation was coming the same day as the delivery. Wrong. I call them, schedule the appointment for yesterday. I wait all day like an idiot, no one comes. I call hello tech, on hold for 45 minutes. I give up. I call them again, on hold for an hour and a half just to have them act like I NEVER CALLED. They acted like I never made the appointment for yesterday! So I talked to a manager who scheduled me for today from 9-11am to a technician. This morning, I go to my email and it says there's been a modification to my schedule and that I currently don't have an appointment scheduled. I had to call AGAIN to schedule it AGAIN for the 3rd time!!!!! If I wasn't harassing them and on the phone for 3+ hours with the employees of this incompetent company, I would just never receive my wall mount installation that I paid for. read more

I contacted Hello Tech for assistance setting up my surround sound system with my cable enabled 65" Samsung HDTV. Relatively new tv, purchased in Sept of 2017. The technician. Brandon was courteous and conscientious, but some how my tv was damaged while he was working on it. Now when I contact them to try to arrange to have it repaired, they pass the responsibility on to some other department and nothing gets done. They promise a call back, but none ever comes. I wish I had never called them. I am going to have to pay several hundred dollars to fix my tv that they broke. It was an accident, but nonetheless, it is their responsibility. I requested tv mounting service above my fireplace. I am a disabled veteran and due to my disability, I cannot do the work myself. HelloTech scheduled the technician (Jesus B.) to arrive at my home today at 1100 and he called me to say he was running late. He ultimately showed up to my house at 1200. The technician took one look at the tv mount and refused to do the work because it would take too long and he wasn't getting paid enough for the time it would take to do the work. He then said he didn't recommend the mount (MantleMount MM340) even though HelloTech lists this exact mount on its website (https://www.hellotech.com/blog/best-tv-wall-mounts) as the "Best TV Mount for Over a Fireplace". After a five minute interaction, the technician left my home without doing any work. I called the company to complain and all they offered was to reschedule the appointment for another day. I requested the appropriate service and purchased the exact mount that the company recommends. I'm not sure whether to blame the company or the technician but I am completely dissatisfied and will make complaints against this company on veteran forums and any other platform available. read more

I tried them twice. The first visit was to consolidate TV remotes, four into one. The gentleman arrived early and was very polite. He did not know how to do the job. He spent 45 minutes trying to download software onto the computer, calling his office several times. After 45 minutes we decided together it was not a good day for him. He admitted that this was his first job with Hello Tech, indicating that many of their techs are ad hoc, not full-time employees.I was frustrated and dd not call again. But over the week end ad ad for a discount came in an email. I tried again. The tech was one and a half hour late. He said that he did understand the scope of work I requested. In the end he did attach one machine to ALEXA and did about 75 % of connecting ALEXA Firestick TV. (I had wanted three ALEXA dots to neb so connected.) He did not tell me what the charge would be indicating more than once that he wa ted to compensate for his delayed arrival. I did not sign the cellphone with the invoice. I gave him $ 20 as a tip. Then I found out that he charged me $ 30 over the advertised fee and he did not give me the discount. NEVER AGAIN...use the GEEK SQUAD. read more
