I agreed to have him deliver a less expensive gravel that he'd previously sent a picture of. Upon delivery, I noticed that the gravel had much smaller pieces than those in the picture he'd sent. To me, the gravel looked like asphalt, not decorative gravel. Because I commented about that, ​he packed up his equipment without a word. When I went outside to ask him why the truck was moved from my driveway, he said that," all you've done is bitch about it since I got here". First of all, that wasn't true. I had commented nicely about the difference between the picture and the actual gravel, stating that I didn't like the gravel as much, but that I'd get used to it and add some flowers. I even went as far to apologize. He got in his truck, said, " find somebody else " and drove off in a huff. Let me add that I was a repeat customer. He regraveled my neighbor's and my shared driveway last year, and we were pleased. Today's experience was not only what I never expected, but his level of unprofessional behavior and rudeness was unlike anything I've experienced in a very long time. All I can say is, you'd better be happy with what he brings you, otherwise he may leave without a word, mid job. As for me, I hope to find a service provider who's less arrogant and more willing to offer solutions rather than being so reactive.

We agreed to trim all to the fence line in the back, as well as trimming of a row of bushes, and two big ones in the front on a fixed price. They showed up on time the next day with a mid-size truck, with four family members, only one seemed like a professional worker. There was no chipper, and they had to cut the branches by chain saws to stack on the truck. Half way on the side, he wanted to charge $300 more to cut down a small tree, about 10-12 inches trunk on our property. I didn't have budget, so we skipped it. To the back, which was the main reason that I need to clear to the fence line, because of the branches grew from the other easement side, that have grown reaching the power line, then he threw tantrums. Upsetting, yelling, climbing on a ladder with an extended chainsaw trying to cut it. He finally cleared some of it, but I'd rather not risking to have him fall, so I gave up, kept telling him to stop. Next, this rental property was neglected by the tenants, therefore the backyard ground was littered with leaves, small branches. I assumed that was part of clean up after the job, but he said he did me an extra favor to blow them off. So, if you hire him, spelled it out.
