RESPONSE TO ARMANDO T. 06/19/2012 Armando is not being completely truthful. I never ignored his calls and he is the one that early on communicated only via text message. The fact of the matter is that I gave Armando close to 2 months to do a rather simple job. He doesn't return phone calls and his voicemail is always full. Once we finally set an appointment, he didn't show up or bother to call. (See photo) Then he responds by insinuating that I am a liar. Not someone I would want to do business with. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Armando is a total flake. I first contacted him back in early March to switch out a key less entry system with keypad and striker. He took the old equipment and at first was communicating on what type of replacement options were available. I did not hear from him for about 2 weeks when I called back and he said he was still working on getting the equipment. Shortly after getting the necessary materials he attempted to install the new system. At this point, he must of realized that he didn't know what he was doing because after the first attempt he cut off all contact. Calls went to voicemail and his voicemail is always full. I finally had to go by his shop to hunt him down. After finally finding him, he said that I needed to be there for the install. I told him that was fine and we set an appointment which he cancelled due to rain. In a later conversation he stated he was on his way, but he never showed up. Do not trust this guy. read more

Heloh locksmith is a scam and very very unprofessional I hired Armando to repair my ignition on my Lexus rx 330, I paid him the deposit to start the work asap he said ok I'll order the part it should be here in a couple of days no problem. A week passed no call, I called like hey did the part come he's like yea I'll be over to fix it ok no problem. The day he was supposed to come he had me waiting them he txt saying he was stuck somewhere in Costa Mesa, I'm like ok when can you come he said Tomorrow, I'm like ok, tomorrow came no answer. I text hey here are you? He didn't respond, another week of no answer. The next week he came he said he had to take my steering wheel off to work on it at his shop to put the part on,I'm like ok, then I noticed he broke my grill off my truck, I txt him like you broke my grill?? He said oh it dropped put it in youranother week roll around once again No answer from Armando!! At this point im like wtf am I going to because he took my damn steering wheel off!! Remind you we're 3 weeks in since I have him a deposit I'm calling like crazy, til his brother says lady! If you want your Fking car fixed just wait he's busy in a job! I'm like what?!! So im like what??! This is NOT how you handle business, I told the brother he needs to bring back my steering wheel and give me my money back, he yelled you want your Fucking money I'll give it to you! I'm the owner too! And hung up!! So now I'm furious as fuck!! Armando still not answering!! So he txt I'll come tomorrow sorry my brother was being rude, I said yes he definitely was! So tomorrow was the 4th week once again No answer from Armando. So I had to wait because he got my whole steering wheel! So then a couple of days later he txt said tomorrow which was a Friday or Monday? I replied Tomorrow and this is too much! So tomorrow came he called and said he was 15 mins away this was at 9am so about 2 hours rolled around still not here, he calls and says he got a flat tire what??! I said you said you were 15 mins away so then he cussed at me I cussed at him told him just bring my steering wheel back, he went into a rant about some racial stuff I said I'm a woman you talk to women and customers like that?? Long story short we hashed that out I told him go handle getting his truck situated, I was over it at this moment. He actually called and came back said He was sorry and wasn't a bad person i was like cool, he fixed it! I paid him his balance After 4 long weeks. I got a new battery washed it maybe 4 hours into having the car I went to Costco, came out started the car and didn't come on. The ignition or whatever part he put on broke again. At this point I'm like fuck I'm stuck he's definitely not answering my call but I called anyway, to my surprise he answered I old what happened he came quick too he put a relay switch on my starter and said I ordered the part in my way over here it should be here by Tuesday I said ok, I was very appreciative him coming to help me so then i said ok I'll check in Monday or Tuesday to check to see if the part came and we'll schedule then. So I'm like ok I can drive it with the part on there but did t want to overuse it because it's temporary, so last Friday I went to move my car from by my neighbors entrance and the car wouldn't come on, that switch went out in like omg what now, so I txt him and said hey the switch went out can you come fix it in the morning so I won't get towed, no answer but it was after 5 so I'm like business hours are over I guess so I called Saturday morning he said ok I'll be over but I'm not getting my txt he never showed or answered any of my calls after that , Sunday no answer, so I ended up calling another locksmith to see if he could fix that relay piece he said. Who did your car? I told him he said what that guy we get customers that we have to fix what he messes up and he doesn't answer them back, he asked what part was he trying to fix because you need the whole new ignition you can't replace the parts that's why he probably was t answering you because he can't get the parts! And to find out he messed up my starter there we're zip ties all under my hood , WTH So the other lock smith said to call around to auto parts to find the part he felt so bad for me and he put my steering wheel upside down . I was frustrated and tired at this point I ended up at the Lexus dealer they gave me the price for the parts and labor so I'm really out of pocket now! I didn't want to leave a review but the more I'm spending money on my car it's the principle. read more

Horrible horrible service from this guy . This was the second time I came to him about my key , the first time he was pretty cool & fixed my key. But unfortunately this time around he gave the worst service. He didn't communicate about anything , I would have to blow up his phone till he decided to answer me and give me an update. So called today for a quite to replace my fob key for my optima and was quoted a reasonable price. My car is a hybrid so then I was told it would be an additional fee not a big deal but was a big deal was the arrogant egotistical attitude of the caller. I kindly told him I'm going to continue to shop around and he responded by saying he does not care he has other customers and it's not about money, then proceeded to tell me if I change my mind hes busy and has other customers and I would have to wait until Saturday to schedule an appointment even after several times I told him I did not need his services. His response was super rude and unprofessional. I never write bad reviews but his outrageous comments rendered one. Update: looking at Armandos response just shows how unprofessional he is. He initially said 225 but then tried to upsell me to almost 300. I was not so upset about the upsell I was more flabbergasted by his response once i told him i no longer needed his services. I actually found an honest locksmith who charged me less than what he quoted me and gave me fixed price , I dont see any karma there. I would think someone who's been in business that long would have better professionalism. The only reason your still in business is because not enough people have called out your unprofessionalism and i never had an attitude with you, you were the one with an attitude and a true business person would never speak to thier customers or potential customers in that fashion. The owner was very kind and the team got my lock fixed extremely fast. The lock works well so far so I'm overall pleased. The reason why this isn't a 5-star review is that they didn't use the same lock (they asked ahead of time for my approval beforehand which was nice), and made it seem like a very easy swap, but ended up having to drill a large hole into my door to fit it. I was told the hole would barely be noticeable, but at the end of the day it is noticeable and it is pretty ugly. They also did not clean up any wood or debris from drilling the hole. 4-stars. read more

I said, "Great, let's make it happen!" 1:10 pm comes around, i message him again and didn't get a response until 130 pm. His response was "I am on my way." Awesome, see you here shortly. Now 2:30 comes around and I decide to call him, "oh , hey my guy hasn't called you?" My response, "no he hasn't." He said, "oh my guy is in Lakewood finishing a job." For the last few year, my mother and I have been terrified of accidentally locking our front door because it took hours to get it open with the key, if at all. After some more time had gone by, it could not be unlocked with the key at all. We relied on only locking the screened door when away from home. Recently, it was accidentally locked and I had to climb through the window to get in. Thank goodness I had forgotten to lock my window at that time. We made a commitment to contact a locksmith and get it done very soon. I called and left a message but never received a call back so I was just going to try to find another vendor. One Friday afternoon I was taking my daily walk but went in the direction of Heloh's, so I walked in to ask if they do re-keying of door locks to homes and the nice gentleman behind the counter said yes. He looked at me apologetically and said it would be at least a couple hours before he would be able to go do it, and here I was thinking he would tell me a couple weeks or several days at least. I was more than happy to hear he would be able to go same day. That was very unexpected given that it was late Friday afternoon. I wrote my address and phone number down and continued on my afternoon walk. He called about 45 minutes later to say that he would be on his way shortly and I told him my mother was home so go ahead. Let me start by saying that if I could give them no stars I would. They are so unreliable, saying they would come at a certain time and being hours late. They wasted four days of my time waiting by my car for them to come and when they did come they couldn't do anything. Suddenly he stopped answering my texts and calls for two days. Heloh lock came yesterday and did an amazing job. They responded within 30 minutes and came out the same day. He came took the lock unit back to his shop and rebuilt it. Took only a couple hours and without damage. They restored the existing piece (circa 1929) by rebuilding it and even went the extra mile to make sure it remained vintage. Poor customer service. This guy is a joke. I called at 8am to confirm because someone said they would meet me. The guy confirmed he's on his way. Over an hour later and no one showed up. Called and texted several times. Finally got a hold of someone who said he was the owner and he had no idea what I was talking about. He stated it was his night crew and that they are closed Sundays. Armando did such an amazing job making a new (keyless) keyfob for me in only a matter of minutes on a walk in. The service isn't cheap on these but I saved a TON over the dealership!
