Nice people and quick service to retrofit an old alarm system with a newer current one. My only…read morecomplaint was significant cost overun. We initially discussed the job would take 2-3 hours at $85 / hour (for one person) with the understanding that due to retrofitting a new system to an older existing system could take longer. Two people were assigned to the job (which I didn't authorize or expect to pay for) and the job took 5 and half hours. In my view the original job time was grossly underestimated and these people are supposed to be experts so job should not have taken approximately 11 man hours and cost double what I had expected. Lesson learned for me and others to specifically clarify cost and job time limits up front.

I was having…read moreissues with hard wired smoke detectors and Hassett Electrical had only tied one new one into the house. I reached out to Steve at Hassett, who immediately offered to drive out and take a look. Rather than have them drive 45 minutes for something so small, I tried to see if it could be fixed remotely. Steve offered his suggestions and responded promptly to my text messages. When it was determined that the situation needed professional eyes, Steve did not hesitate to schedule a Saturday service call. Hassett showed up on time, with notice when they were 30 minutes away. Naturally, none of the detectors were malfunctioning and randomly beeping like they did all week. Hassett checked everything out, replaced the new smoke/carbon monoxide detector, fixed two other small electrical concerns, and even stayed an extra 1/2 hour to make sure the detectors were okay before driving another 45 minutes home. Steve also reassured me that a weird double outlet wouldn't be a building code issue that could jeopardize the sale of the house. I was only charged for a service call. Hassett stands by their work and if there are any questions, will take the time to patiently investigate. Rates are comparable, the guys are friendly, and as Master Electricians they really know their stuff. Even if they were to go insane and hike their rates up, I would still hire them. I don't trust anyone else with the electrical safety of my home and you shouldn't either. I was lucky to find them as a Home Depot Pro, not through Yelp, Google, or other review sites. When originally receiving work estimates, review site electricians fell short. Home run for Home Depot lining up a great pro!

Phone repair issue still not fixed…read more Review: I had my phone screen replaced here and from the moment I picked it up it started flickering and glitching. There is no physical damage on the phone at all. The issue clearly came from how it was reassembled. When I went back to address it the first questions I heard were "When did you get it fixed?" "Do you have the receipt?" There was no attempt to even look at the problem. No let's see what's going on. No let's determine whether this is on me or on you. It went straight to assuming it was my fault even though I paid 180 dollars and the problem began immediately after the repair. I was also told it might be because the screen was aftermarket. But aftermarket screens are still supposed to work. Assembly matters. If the repair caused the issue then taking ownership matters. I checked my review history before writing this. I have never written a bad review before. I'm only writing this to protect the next person. If this had been handled with integrity I would gladly leave five stars. Mistakes can be fixed. I called back immediately and only receptionist would speak to me and said nothing could be done as it was the weekend and no management was available....UNACCEPTABLE. As a result, my household was left without hot water for the entire weekend! What is MOST frustrating is they charge a non-refundable diagnostic/scheduling fee and state that the purpose of the visit is to inspect, diagnose, and provide solutions. I expected a professional diagnosis and repair, not a temporary reset that failed almost immediately!
