Everyone at Helping Hands is great. They actually care. Carmina, who is in charge of scheduling, has bern always accommodating to my particular needs due to having two small kids. She also was able to work with me on pricing. I'v had different technicians whom I loved before, but since I needed different schedule I had new crews came in, Maude and Maria. We're still getting used to each other again because I'm particular and have razor eyes. But they are amazing, efficient, quite and also sweet. Cleaning is the last thing I want to worry about with a toddler and baby at home. So i rely on them 100% and they do an amazing job! Lastly, I LOVE that they bring their own cleaning supplies and they are eco friendly! So important. read more

I wish we have never gone with Helping Hands services. We have had a horrible experience. We were left with damaged marble and faucets in 3 bathrooms. We have addressed the issues with the owner, who came to look at the damages and requested we went thru her Insurance to cover all the damages. It's been over a month and we still haven't settled anything, we were asked to hold off with getting everything fixed until the insurance adjuster could come and take a look at everything. No one ever came, Helping Hands has never offered to reimburse us for all the cleaning fees they were quick to charge on top of everything the response we are hearing is "call my insurance company" every time we want an update. We really wanted to work with the owner Gosia and give her the opportunity to go thru her insurance (when we first called we were assured if helping hands were responsible for the damages they would cover it, since the damages are bigger than they expected, Gosia asked to go thru her insurance company, which we were more than happy to accommodate as long as we were going to get it resolved quickly which she promised us we would). I'm absolutely disgusted with not only lack of professionalism but also how rude helping hands has been in handling this whole process. If you go with Helping Hands don't count on them taking responsibility for any damages you might suffer from. I will be updating this review if we get any new information! read more

Very unreliable Came first week and then a no show 2 weeks later with no explanation Also, you have to give them a credit card to sign up. They offer the option of paying with a check which i chose but they still charged my credit card both times, effectively charging me twice. Still waiting for my credit card refund. Do not waste your money using this service. I am rehabbing a property and told them I needed them to clean after putting up drywall in one unit. Two people came out. At first they told me they couldn't clean the floor because it was too hard, which was wrong. This was frustrating because I told them the circumstances when I scheduled. They didn't even have a mop, rather they just put a towel on the end of a swiffer. The floor still had a layer of dust on it after. Then I told them to clean the staircase in front and back - they only cleaned half of it. My place was still dirty even after they left. At this point, I just gave up trying to tell them to do any further cleaning, as everything was met with attitude when I requested they clean something. Even my tenant was amazed at their incompetency. I was extremely disappointed that I hired this company. read more

Horrible! We scheduled them for regular cleanings every two weeks and not only did they do a horrible job (dirty dishes left out, couch cushions not put back on the couch, bathrooms not cleaned, etc.) but they also change the team that comes to your house every week and they come at whatever time they feel like rather than the scheduled time. I work from home so I have to plan around there ever changing schedule. Plus they are super expensive for poor work and a question if the team will show up on time. Unreliable. We have made two separate appointments to get our house cleaned from this service. We waited for them to arrive in the 1 hour window they provided, after 35 minutes outside the window I called to see where they were and was told that they would be delayed. Another 40 minutes went by and they didn't show up so we decided to cancel. We set up another cleaning appointment the next day and were assured cleaning will be done on time. The cleaning ladies arrived 45 minutes after the scheduled time. We change our schedules to accommodate the cleaning service and they are unable to come on time. I hired Helping Hands after having my floors refinished specifically to clean the walls. There was very little furniture on the first floor and the kitchen was brand new so not like there was a lot to do. Also wanted the second floor bedrooms dusted/vacuumed and bathrooms cleaned. I payed $225 for 5 hours. I don't know what they did for 5 hours, but I could have done the job better myself and the walls still had a full layer of dust. I could see a few swipes but they were hardly done. I called but no one responded. Very disappointed and will not be calling them again. read more

This Service doesn't seem to know the correct information....or Follow Through With What They Verbally Tell You....After my initial cleaning...which was very good.....I signed up for every other week with Anna & Evonna......A client had cancelled their cleanings for the Summer according to HH....so I was put in this day...every other week...On July 5th....no one showed up for cleaning...I waited 2 Hours and then I called the HH office. The reason was I wasn't on the Schedule for that day?? Really? Why wouldn't I Be??? HH didn't know Why??? Finally....I received a return phone call from HH......The Client was Back from Vacation...They only were gone for One Month. What happened To All Summer?? Oh that was an error....we are sorry.......So HH takes me OFF the schedule and doesn't bother to Call Me??? They had to refer my complaint to the owner..... This company doesn't return Phone Calls....especially when they specify a certain day they will call back....HH will say they have called....I have CALLED ID......They did something to the Grout in my 2.5 Year Old Shower;(;(;(.... I had to take pictures and e-mail them to both HH AND GOSIA who is the owner...and then they couldn't open the pictures on their computer.........so Gosia and the Office Manager Ewa came to my house to look at my Shower and said it was built up Soap......Funny it wasn't there the day before..... Gosia told me the name of a non toxic cleaning serice nearby...and said that she would e-mail me some information about another cleaning lady.....Never received that e-mail.....Last...don't expect anything from this Company on Mondays....that is their Payroll day.....Must be an all Day Project???? And they just got a new computer system that is supposed to help with some of the above problems...well...it does not! My Free Cleaning Consisted Of 2 Girls for 1 Hour 20 Minutes..They missed junk on my bath vanity from the previous cleaning;(;(;(;(.... The response I got had every fine detail as to how and which area the cleaning service would cover. I'll say the service was a little more expensive than I'd imagined but well worth every penny. WOW - I'm surprised after that Living Social deal, Helping Hands didn't get more reviews. This is why I love Yelp -- I have a great experience with a service professional and I can tell the world. AGNES cleaned our apartment. I mean, Agnes CLEANED our apartment. She was AWESOME. One woman, one roll of paper towels, one Eastern European work ethic - OH YEAH AGNES! you did an awesome job. I was a little worried when only one person showed up-- my apt is actually quite huge, but she stayed like 4 hours to get the job done and was on her HANDS AND KNEES scrubbing away. At one point, I had to make her drink some water. Agnes means business and does not suffer fools gladly. I don't know about their service area limitation -- I had a hell of a time trying to book this appointment. (my Ravenswood apt is just in the 25 mile limits of the voucher, but their computers wouldn't allow a booking.) I really appreciated the fact they had availability within the week (didn't expect them to) and called me the day before when they needed to move the appointment. Ah -- such simple things -- one needs to be late, so you call and make sure it's okay. Isn't it nice how the world works when we use our words and the basic communication tools available to us? The invoice stated that two technicians spent allegedly almost 7 hours on cleaning my empty, two bedroom unit but the outcome was very poor. They had to came back twice to properly clean the unit. Service is great! However it is amazingly EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE. I don't even live in a two stories home, I live in a small 2 bedroom apartments. My apartment was very dusty, and I paid a total of 285 (38/hour per maid. for me there was two) I consider this HIGHWAY ROBERY.... you can definitely, no doubt find a cheaper service for the same work! If you are rich, go for it, but for a small two bedrooms apartment, I thought this was just beyond ridiculous!!! read more
