A&W was a charm when they worked with my Grandmother's estate. The sale process was done in about a week and a half. We visited during the sale and were blown away by how professionally organized it was. They even had lace tablecloths. It was a nice touch, lol. There was lots of staff, and lots of people shopping around. Alongside, A&W helped us send a few paintings off to an auction. Working with them was a wonderful experience, and my entire family is grateful for their work. Roni and her Entourage charged my landlord $4,500 to run an estate sale and "​clean out" of my personal and business property from a rambler home,​ with extremely limited deadlines to remove my things. I was not allowed to participate and had to leave lifelong collections of my books and sewing fabrics along with my great grandmother's rocking chair. I was even scolded second-handedly for leaving a note asking them to put some things aside for me to pick up later. read more

Very cool estate sale with tons of items. Wendy was super nice and helpful, but the lady running it was not. I waved at her coming in and she didn't acknowledge us. I asked her about an untagged item that I wanted to purchase and she acted like she couldn't be bothered with me. I asked if she could find out from the owners if I could purchase it the next day and she didn't want to do that either, so we put down our items and left. Everybody else working the sale was very nice which we appreciated. read more

We were very disappointed in Roni and her helpers. We signed a contract and gave her $2,500.00 to do an estate sale. We had a lot of furniture, clothes and shoes, and many household items for sale in a large home. Roni did a short one day sale, and after she charged us $200.00 for gas, we grossed $440.00. Roni- The owner of "A&W Helping Hands Estate and downsizing sales Seattle and surrounding areas" was hired to facilitate the estate sale of my grandmother. Besides her horrible attitude and poor customer service, Roni outsourced the move to an undesirable team that stole various items (including money). When I called Roni to tell her what had happened, she hung up the phone on me. Furthermore, they DID NOT follow the safety rules of a security locked condominium, and Like most/ if not ALL apartment building there is quiet hours that were also not followed. Roni's team did not show up until 9:45pm each night! We were also told that the (outsourced worker) was supposed to be in the condo alone, but on 3 of the 7 occasions that we checked in on the progress there was always a different person tagging along, and one of the nights we counted 5 people! There was 3 beat up pickup trucks used one of the nights, that stayed parked in a 30 minute load zone, another was parked in the bus zone, and the other in a fire zone - in front of a fire hydrant. To make matters worse, a glass self was dropped and shattered on the manicured building walkway at 11pm. When the job was "completed" I told Roni that we would not be giving her payment until the condominium keys were returned, and we confirmed that the job was complete. Not only did she not respond to me, but she contacted my brother to say that she would not communicate with me, and went on to defame my character by accusing me of abusing drugs. When Roni was lastly contacted to tell her that my grandmothers mailbox key (that was on a big key ring) and stored in the "OFF LIMITS" closet was missing on Sunday evening, the team was confronted - but then the key chain MINUS the key mysteriously appeared on the bare kitchen counter after the team was gone! Roni's response to my brother about this was "Rob- between you and I. I think your sister took them!" Roni's business practice is absolutely repulsive, and she is a thief! read more

While on vacation I always like to do a little resale shopping with my bestie. We stumbled across a sale hosted by Roni & her team and got some fabulous finds. I collect vintage desk items and I acquired a few unique pieces at her sale. I was pleased to find everything priced and nicely arranged. Staff was friendly and helpful. I live on the east coast so sadly not many opportunities to visit her sales again but if I did I would suspect I would be a frequent shopper. read more

Interesting reviews. A lot of fives and a few really low scores. If you are reading this my suggestion to you is to have an appraiser out. I did that and the difference between the money I received from the Estate sale and the appraisal was huge. The appraiser and the Estate sale person should be from two different companies. Then try to get a price from a company or two that will take everything in the house. I would not suggest an Estate Sale. The two ladies running the estate sale I went to were really rude (Rocky point or some such street in Camano Island, June 2017). I made eye contact with the really chatty bubbly lady and smiled, and her previous smile quickly disappeared as she sternly looked me up and down. Weird. Then, the older lady acting as cashier refused to acknowledge me. I was standing in line waiting patiently, but she kept waiting on other people who would walk up from behind me in line. Here I am at the front of the line, 7 months pregnant and lugging two awkward storage drawers, so I'm kind of hard to miss! She wouldn't make any eye contact or acknowledge me at all - it felt like she was intentionally looking past me. Finally, when the third person cut in front of me and the cashier looked past me again, I said, "wow, I just keep getting ignored today!" And the couple who was trying to cut in front felt ashamed and told the cashier I was next. She finally looked up at me, kinda annoyed - like she was planning to ignore me all day. my total came to $9 and she sighed and said, "UGH, I really hope you have a ten"... I didn't, so she had to break a $20. which, the people in front of me had to break big bills too, and she politely assured them not to worry, that they had plenty of smaller bills in their vehicle. Not for me, though! She made me feel like crap for not have exact change and then she gave me my change of $11 in all ones even though I could see she had fives. I don't get why I was treated so differently than the other folks that were there. I was polite, kept out of their way, didn't linger too long. It was weird. Anyway, on top of that, their signage was really poorly placed, and it was almost impossible to find -a sentiment that other people there were sharing as well. I don't think you want to hire these people - they're really disorganized and terribly rude. read more

We had an unbelievable experience with Roni at Helping Hands Estate Sale Services. We were downsizing to a much smaller home and had a lot of furniture and other things to get rid of. We had a short window in which to get this done and after trying a few other firms that had been highly recommended but were booked several weeks out, we contacted Roni. She came to the house and we signed a contract with her to do our sale a few weeks later. Five days before the sale was due to start she BAILED on us - never mind we had signed a contract with her. We were in touch with her on Sunday, the weekend before the sale was due to start. After that she did not respond to texts or to phone calls. She finally texted us saying, "she and her crew" had decided that we were a better fit to go through a consignment person. Needless to say we were livid! And then we had almost no time to figure out what to do with half a household of furniture and a wide array of other things before our house went on the market. My husband and I found this absolutely unbelievable - how does someone sign a contract with you and then suddenly decide not to follow through? Also, I find it very interesting that most of her reviews are either five stars or one star. It makes me questions how many of the reviews are legitimate. read more

I attended an estate ran by this company over the past weekend. Boy was I dissapointed. Everything was so overpriced! It was supposed to be half price day, but even at half price everything was so expensive. There were some lovely antiques there, but all outrageously priced in the thousands! I believe they were doing thier client a disservice by making prices so high. I suspect they may have done this because they may have alterior motives such as they want to keep most of the stuff for themselves or thier shop. read more

I don't know what I would do without this company!!! I went to their sale in Edmonds a few weeks ago and nearly furnished my entire apartment. Everybody was so personable and kind! When I told them that I just moved here from Florida and needed to set up my new apartment, they asked me what I needed and showed me where I could find it! I never knew estate sales were this hospitable, lemme tell you. I got to upgrade from my inflatable bed to a brand new, real-deal mattress, stock my entire kitchen, and get my hands on every single household item that I didn't even know existed. Did I mention that I got the cutest couch in the world? Because I did. All thanks to these beautiful beautiful people!!!!! I will forever love this company and their sales. This company generally has good prices but they are SOOOO disorganized. They cannot multi task and generally are over stressed so they can end up being rude. Also, it seems they don't get to their sales early to prepare...like they are setting up as you are trying to shop and pay so they have problems with payments and items aren't priced/organized. It was interesting to read the other poor reviews, as they so echoed my experience. The owners of this company are rude and abrasive. A customer was parked in the driveway and she yelled at them, loudly, in front of other customers and was very, very rude . Only about 10% of items were priced. I was there on the second day, half price day, and the prices were still high, not in line with estate sale prices. She was turning down offers of less money, and being very rude about it. I am going to guess that many, many items went unsold, which was shame because I saw people choosing to walk away from items after they had been treated so poorly by the owner. Also, what bothered me the most is that the lovely home the estate sale was held in was an absolute MESS. Just a wreck. I get that people rummage around but the way they set things up-things piled high, piles everywhere, added to the mess. There was no attempt to keep things tidy. If I had been the family liquidating the estate and had seen this I would have been absolutely sick about it. I will never go to another estate sale put on by this company again. Not worth being treated so rudely or watching others being treated this way. read more

I attended one of the Helping Hand Estate sales on what I believe was their second weekend at that estate. The already reasonable prices were being slashed almost in half. A darling dining table with 6 chairs, normally priced at $450 was $250. Where else can you find a deal like that? A $5000 marble table (for 8) was priced at $500. My estate sale companion both got great deals on our purchases -- way below the asking price. Granted, they probably wouldn't give you those deals on the first day, but even their original prices seemed to be inline with the value of the items. read more

Roni did a wonderful job conducting an estate sale for my family. We had routine items, as well as some unusual items. I wasn't sure that she would be able to sell the unusuals, but she did. There were a few left-overs and she donated them to the organizations we designated. We live in another state, so she kept us informed of the progress. I would hire Roni again. read more

My experiences were that she is Not qualified. Spoke opening announcements during loud traffic ignoring 2/3s of the line, she was rattled and inaccurate consistently during cashiering, almost nothing was priced, uninformed of many item market values. Insulting and abrasive tendencies, at times very disrespectful. Free piles in too many places, mixed with actual garbage. She did not make good use of the space available. She seemed to only want to stuff money in her pouch. read more

I was sad to see a poor review on this company because my experiences have always been exceptional! Perhaps people take things wrongly when they occur because I too have heard when an estate staff person (from another estate sale company) yelled to a customer to not park in the driveway, it wasn't rude, it was out of safety! These sales often get crazy, customers are only looking for the "deal" and do not listen when the staff expresses the rules or take the time to read the companies rules on their website, they are not being careful, often children are around and customers do not watch them closely. That all being said I can only say that the ladies who work for this company are wonderful and helpful. These sales are not like going to the mall, you cannot expect a sales person to be there at your every nod immediately, but they most certainly try! They have worked horrendous hours trying to get these sales in order, usually in a very limited amount of time, many of them in homes that are a complete mess and often very dirty. I admire what they do, it is not an easy way to make a living. More times than I would like to say the customers are the ones who are rude and crude, they not only want immediate service but they also want to get something for nothing and are nasty when the staff informs them that the client instructed no discounts on the first day or other instructions they don't wish to hear. I have found this company to be incredibly fair in pricing and knowledgeable as well. My suggestion to anyone that attends managed estate sales is to read the particular company's rules, abide by them, be prepared and be patient with the staff and other customers, it can be a very fun experience and you can meet lots of great people, maybe find a treasure that you have been searching for or items you wish to resell, no matter the reason you attend, be kind, it's contagious :) read more
