I love the warm towels and essential oil. The stretching is nice. The dark lighting and music is relaxing. I love the hot eye patch given. My massage tech wore gloves that is not able to tell at all which I prefer because It keeps it sanitary and it was still a very nice massage. I just wish the area was worked on more and knots. I have been a client of Helping Hands for about 13 years. It is because of my Massage Therapist I had been able to continue working as an Ultrasound Technologist pain free. Now that I'm retired -- I was able to retire on MY terms and not "my body's" terms. I call Henry the "Grand Master of Therapists." He takes the time to train new therapists what he knows and incorporates oils for healing -- not just oil use to make the "room" smell nice. I tried SIX therapists before I found Henry. Henry fixed my initial pain and then saw me through a multi-bone crushing accident and a horrific whole body muscle inflammatory issue from antibiotics a doctor gave to me. Truly, the therapists are well trained, and if you get one you don't "jive" with you can request another. Carol Ann makes sure you are comfortable and well treated. She always has some sort of fruit water and healthy snacks for you as you wait for your therapist. She is also educated and performs IRIDOLOGY exams. She's VERY good!!! NOTE: They are adding a "relaxation" room. I'm SOOOO going to try that, too! I think I had accidentally made the appointment at first too late in the day, because the massage was going to be 60 minutes instead of 90, but Tamara was so so sweet and squeezed me in before her next client, which I am so so so appreciative for!!! Had a massage today with Tamara-this was my first time going here. All were so kind and knowledgeable as was Carol, the owner who helped me on the phone and at check in. They found me 30 minutes on a same day phone call as i was really hurting (i did the micro-mini back 30 min) and then they found me a spot for deep tissue tomorrow to finish the work that needs doing on my back. Phew- feeling very lucky. They have a cozy resting room and a really professional staff. All was clean and felt so comfortable- great massage. I booked a 60 minute deep tissue massage with Tamera. I'm very grateful they got me in so quickly here because my upper back was in pain. The staff were very nice and professional. Tamera was awesome and professional. She is very kind too. I expressed to her how I was having pain in my back and didn't know if I needed a full body massage... after working on me for a little she recommended to spend the 60 minutes on my back which I think was a good decision because it feels a lot better. I liked that the bed got warm too. I'm glad that I did the 60 minute instead of a longer massage because of how tight my back is. I called here needing a lymphatic drainage massage for post op care. I was scheduled a couple weeks out. On the day of my visit I was greeted as soon as I walked in. The lady in reception is super sweet and made me feel so welcomed. I was in a bit of pain and discomfort and she made sure I was comfortable when filling out my paper work. They also have goodies while you wait or for after the massage. (Snacks, tea, water) the environment is very relaxing and homey. I was greeted by Ellen and she also was very warm and understanding of my needs at the moment. She took her time in making sure I was comfortable and safe. Even though these massages are not relaxing she made me feel really good for the purpose of the massage. Ellen was very knowledgeable and also gave me tips for home that will help with the healing process. I will definitely keep coming here. The office is in a building with other doctor's office so the parking could be a little tight. read more
