Both my parent's passed away in a short time frame, and their house and all their belongings needed to be sold. I'm not located in town so I trusted her to take care of the estate sale of all the belongings. She seemed busy to I did not pester her as much as I should have. It's been over a year since we began the sale process, and I have yet to receive a single dollar from her, despite her records showing nearly $30,000 in sales. At this point she is unresponsive. After running a background report on Shelly Ruwe, I found dozens of judgments against her dating back to the early 2000s. People sued her for not paying for goods and services, both in small claims court and civil court. Do not trust her with your belongings, property, or money. read more

DO NOT USE THESE MOVERS!!! I hired them a couple of months in advance. I had to contact them the day before to confirm. They said they'd be there between noon and 1:30. One of the movers called about 12:30, said they would be here in 45 minutes to an hour. About 1:45 I tried calling them as they had not arrived yet. No answer. They finally answered about 2:45. They said their truck broke down. The office was going to send other movers over. I tried calling the office. No answer. Finally about 3:30 I received a text from the office, canceling the move. I was left with a truck full of furniture and no movers. Thank goodness I finally was able to find other movers. So if you need movers to load or unload your truck, do NOT schedule with this company. Moving day is stressful enough without adding this kind of BS! read more

Our home was damaged by movers of HOMES-Helping Other Move Effortlessly by Shelly when they were hired by the sellers to move a refrigerator out of the house the day before we were closing on the sale. My husband, realtor, and myself did a final walk through/inspection the day prior and there was no damage to my walls. We walked into our new home the morning of closing and the corner of the wall had been hit and the metal corner beading was bent and drywall/paint was moved away from the wall. They damaged another wall corner and scratched the wood railing as well. I contacted Shelly and she agreed to have her "painter" come out and fix the damage to the walls and railing. At first this was being done, but they did not complete the job. I now have incomplete drywall patches on my walls and still have scratches on my railing. DO NOT HIRE!!!!! read more

We moved 2 truck loads of good clean used furniture and household items to House to Home Concierge at 6848 F Street in Omaha. I paid the driver/movers a moving fee to take a 2 bedroom house/ and another basement of furniture to their consignment warehouse to be sold on consignment. The owner, Shelly, told us she would "mail a check (lol)" out to us on the 15th of each month for our sold items. The agreement was 67% to the consigner, 33% to their Warehouse business. When that 15th came & went, with no check (of course), we tried 6 times to call & text the owner to find out what was going on. No answer (of course), so we went where our stuff was being sold to find out at least half of it was not there, and no one knew anything about it??? We went there again the next week and witnessed several of our items being sold as I watched. and photographed it. I was told I was not supposed to see this, and to leave. I had photographed most of the items in the truck that went out to their consignment shop, and asked about the status of each picture. The staff and owner became angry and told us to leave, we were not allowed to inquire or know what was sold. We discovered 6 of our items were mis- labeled under another persons estate, and they couldn't account for any of or missing items. Finally Shelly told us, "they were gone", and not coming back, Period. So we asked to retrieve and be paid for the items we saw them sell, they refused to pay us, and told us we woud charge us storage while our things were on their sales floor, which of course, was not part of the deal! We were told we were not allowed to know anything about our items, and to get out. We were treated with the utmost disrespect, Shelly Ruwe confiscated the pictures of the items our items and refused to return them to us. We lost about $4000. worth of furniture, antiques and good clean household items and never received a penny for what they sold or couldn't account for. Their FB site had 5 similar reviews from other angry sellers, those have since been removed so people will not know what 6 of us went through. All 6 said they would never do business with this scam operation ever again. read more

GO ELSEWHERE. I had a move scheduled for June 20th. Made all the arrangements for them to arrive in the morning. June 20th comes, no movers. I texted Shelly to see what's going on. Needless to say, I was told the heat was delaying the moves, which my move was scheduled with two other moves that morning, and could I reschedule for the following morning. But not before, I was asked if I could get someone else to do it. I was quite irritated because I needed to be loaded up and set to leave the next morning. Confirmed we were all set for 9 a.m. on Tuesday. The time comes and goes again. I had to hire another moving company for the same day. I called and texted and nothing. Three hours later I get a call form a HOMES mover asking if I still needed them to come out and if I was able to find someone else. Of course I found someone else after no call or no show and uncertain if they'd ever arrive. HOMES cost me more time and money and more of a headache. Do yourself a favor, find someone else. read more
