Definitely would not recommend. While the price was right, I guess you get what you pay for. They unloaded so fast we didn't see most of the damage until they were gone. Had a dresser that totally collapsed, another dresser that two of the legs were broke, and worst of all the wooden sideboard to our bed was all gouged and scraped. I'm giving them a one star for 2 parts. The estimate they gave me was way off from what the total was. The total was so much more I think like $1500 than what I was quoted. I had everything pre staged and stayed with in the estimated time frame. Next they hold your be longings hostage until payment is rendered. I can understand that a little but they could also do a agreed upon payment and hold your card if more is do or bill you the difference from the quote. The holding you hostage part is time they are sitting there while you are now trying to deal with the final bill. Otherwise the movers were great and no issues with them. read more

I am extremely disappointed with the service we received from All My Sons Moving & Storage during our recent local move in Birmingham, AL. From the beginning, we were given very clear expectations: one full day for packing, one full day for moving and setup, and a team of five experienced, professional movers. Unfortunately, almost none of these promises were honored. On packing day, five crew members arrived, but one was completely unproductive and left within an hour, stating it was his last day. The remaining crew failed to inform us that we were only allotted five hours to pack a fully furnished five-bedroom home--an unrealistic and unacceptable limitation. As a result, only about 50% of the packing was completed, with the remainder pushed to the next day. The following day was even more chaotic. Due to miscommunication from their office, the crew went back to the old house instead of continuing work at the new one. To make matters worse, one crew member showed up intoxicated, forcing my husband to personally drive him back to the office. This left us short-staffed and further delayed. Throughout the day, a new supervisor repeatedly warned us that they would have to leave by 5 PM due to "hour limitations," despite the incomplete work. We ended up packing much of the kitchen and bedroom items ourselves just to keep things moving. At the new house, the situation deteriorated further. The supervisor and another crew member left without informing us, abandoning the job mid-process. If not for two crew members, Conor and AJ--who, despite being exhausted, worked hard and showed professionalism--we would have been completely stranded. Additionally, our hardwood vintage bedframe was broken during the move. There are several scratches on the floor in the new house, we are missing several of our expensive shoes. We are still in the process of unpacking, not sure what else we might discover. It has now been over a week, and we have yet to hear from the claims department, despite expecting follow-up. Overall, this was a deeply frustrating and stressful experience, marked by poor communication, lack of professionalism, and failure to deliver on basic commitments. I had a very disappointing experience with All My Sons Moving. The issues began with scheduling and communication. After my original movers canceled due to weather, I booked All My Sons and was assured reliable service, professional movers, and properly wrapped furniture. The night before the move, I responded to a confirmation text stating I was available, but no one followed up. On the morning of the move, I was informed only after I called to inquire about the time they were going to start the move, that my move had been canceled without notice. Only after I arranged another moving company did All My Sons contact me to say they could complete the move after all. Unfortunately, the move itself did not meet expectations. The crew arrived at the wrong location, did not wrap furniture as promised, and handled items carelessly. Furniture was placed on wet, dirty ground, boxes labeled "fragile" were not treated accordingly, and items were stacked in a way that caused capacity issues, resulting in some belongings being left behind. One mover smoked a cigar while paperwork was being completed. Despite these issues, I still tipped the crew. After unpacking, we discovered damage to multiple items and to the homes involved. This included broken and chipped furniture, deep marks and splintering on a desk, a mattress that was dirty with torn wrapping and a visible shoeprint, and significant damage to a couch with strong sentimental value that cannot be replaced. There was also damage to walls and trim in both homes. Additionally, two bottles of prescription medication went missing during the move. Billing concerns added to the situation. I was charged for labor and fuel that were not used. While a manager later agreed to refund some charges and offered a discount on a future move, I declined due to a lack of confidence in the company. The claims department ultimately offered only the minimum amount required by their insurance, which did not reflect the value or extent of the damage. Title: Extremely Disappointed - Paid for a Full Move, Got Half a Job I contacted All My Sons Moving on July 21, 2025, to arrange a move scheduled for August 1, 2025. The written agreement was clear: they were to move everything from my home in Omaha, NE, everything from my apartment also Omaha, NE, and deliver it all to my new home in Omaha, NE On August 1, 2025, the movers arrived at my home at around 11:00 AM. They spent four hours filling their truck. When finished, they asked if the load was going to the apartment and We said no -- it was going to the new home. We also reminded them they still needed to come back and finish moving the rest of the items from the home and Their response: "No, we are done." They then drove the truckload to the new house but refused to unload anything until we paid $1,350 -- for one truckload. We felt pressured to pay on the spot out of fear they would keep our belongings. After payment, they unloaded and left, leaving us with half the house still full and nothing moved from the apartment or garages. We were charged $888.25 for moving 1 truck load, $153.00 for fuel, $209 travel time, $224 for packing materials (3 mirror cartons, 2 rolls of shrink wrap, 2 rolls of tape and 1 mattress bag). We had items that were broken, items scratched and items missing. We are in our 60s and hired this company because we physically could not handle moving ourselves. As a result of their incomplete job, we were forced to move the rest of the items -- including a freezer, refrigerator, grill, air compressor, multiple file cabinets, two heavy safes, a ceramic deer, and a bird bath -- on our own. All this while working full-time the week after the move, with far less time and energy to complete it. We called their office on August 2, 2025, but were told by the call center they could not help. On August 11, 2025, after being transferred several times, we finally reached a manager who informed us there would be no refund -- just "coupons" for our next move. There will be no next move with All My Sons. I paid for a full-service move and received barely half the service. The lack of accountability, refusal to correct the situation, and dismissive "coupon" offer speak volumes about their business practices. I strongly advise anyone considering this company to look elsewhere. read more

Let me tell you about my experience. I called around to various companies and ended up on this one without fully reading the reviews which is totally my fault. However, when I did the video walk-through to determine the cost of the move, I was quoted at $5400 for a five bedroom house for above and finished packing. At least 25 boxes of my own were already packed and moved out of the garage, including all glass and plates. When the movers showed up with a crew of eight it took almost 9 hours, and midway through the packing they ran out of boxes and said they were not able to pack anything else and would have to come back the next day. This was after I already paid the $5400. I will say that nothing got broken in the move, however, during the unpack portion, there were cube organizers that could have just been stacked in boxes and were completely dumped out into the box, I also opened a box from the kitchen to find a large container of garlic powder had been turned upside down and covered everything. There was no care taken to pack this area, and even a flower vase had been packed with water, which then soaked everything in the box as well as disintegrated it. On the move in portion, there were many scratches that were made on the door, door frame and holes punched through the drywall going down the stairs. The crew said they would come back the next day to finish packing the remainder of the things. Which just to give an overview was only a few glass awards and remainder of small things in a bedroom. And somehow this took eight hours again. After seeing what was unpacked, things were not actually packed and just tossed into wardrobe Boxes, and the boxes were taped standing up and not closed on the top lids. The movers were also told that everything needed to be removed from the house that did not meet the criteria of gasoline or plants which was fine. However, going back to the house to make sure everything was gone, It took my husband another eight hours of loading the remainder of things that they left, which included Water bottles in a spare bedroom, things in the garage among other random things. which after the second day for the eight hours, I was charged another $1400. I am not sure how exactly it took three people eight hours to pack three boxes, but somehow I got charged for this and also got charged for all of the packing materials which seemed to be used in excess, when I would unwrap five sheets of wrapping paper for one small ceramic bowl.. it also smelled like weed in the house during the pack out. Based on other reviews, this seems like a common practice to under quote, the initial bid and then extend the time of the packing and moving to Garner more charges. If I could give this company negative stars I would. The only positive thing I can say is that the crew was very nice and respectful, but the method for packing moving and price gouging is enough to make me write this review and this is not something I ever do but felt compelled enough to. read more

I am not one to usually leave 1 star reviews, but in this instance, I'd leave 0 stars if I could. All My Sons were quick to respond but after that it all went down hill. They initially quoted us one price--based off the size of our apartment and how much "stuff" we have but then the week of the move called us to confirm the size of the apartment and move details (we moved literally two streets over in our apt complex) they said we would need to add an additional mover which was going to cost more. The movers showed up and took a break before starting the move. The crew leader had me sign paperwork on a tablet but you couldn't scroll through the actual paperwork it just took you to the next signature spot so I couldn't be 100% certain of what I was signing. There were a couple spots with boxes pre checked and I couldn't change them even if I wanted to. So be sure to get their agreement beforehand because one of the boxes we couldn't change which option we'd like was that we agreed to accept reimbursement for damages as a percent of the items weight not the value of the item. We had 3 movers and we did have an elevator in our building but they still drug our mattresses along the hallway floors and ripped decent size holes in 1 mattress, 2 mattress protectors, and a set of sheets. There also was a shoe storage system that was broken in the move. For the damage they did, the total to replace all of those items would have been over $500 but after I filled out all of their paperwork to explain the damage (that we noticed immediately after they left when we set up our beds because they told us they'd assemble the bed for us and then told us they couldn't or wouldn't unless we tipped them extra) the damage service team came back and offered us $100 because of the percentage of the weight of the items. I couldn't even replace the sheets on the queen size bed for the amount they offered. They also did not even move all of our furniture out of the old apartment which resulted in us hiring a task rabbit to help complete the move. Not sure why they even quote $189 an hour when the final charge was $870 for an 1.5 move from an apartment to a storage unit that is 1 minute from my apartment. So disappointing. The prices from this place is horrible. Very disappointed in my decision of using this company. I have tried disputing they said they charged me right. I only had 25 medium Amazon boxes, King bed (Used 1 bag for top mattress), headboard, frame (didn't take apart), small wine fridge (only had to wrap 3 times), and an ironing board. The move from my place to delivery address was 3.2 miles. I was charged over 650 dollars for this. They do not offer senior discounts. I will say the gentleman that did the work was professional and very efficient. They were done in an hour in a half. If your trying to save money, I wouldn't use this company for sure. Do your research. I'm kicking myself in the butt for being in a hurry and not doing my own research. If you don't have money concerns, go for it. Like many others I wish there was an option to not give any stars. I'll start from the beginning. I went out and got several quotes before deciding. Went with this nightmare of company, signed their contract and everything was good to go. A week before the move I was called and told the price wasn't correct. That I would have to pay another $500, A WEEK BEFORE THE MOVE! They got me, too late to get someone else so I pay the extra costs. I had already had to move for my job so I wasn't there. My wife had doughnuts and a cooler filled with water and Gatorade there for the movers and bought them all Subway for lunch. IMO that went way above and beyond. They get down stairs and tell my wife they can't move the gun safe, bunch of calls were made. I was told they didn't know about the safe and they didn't have enough guys there to move it. Remember I got several quotes, I was very familiar with the information that the moving companies needed, I absolutely knew the gun safe was an issue and that I had to tell each of them for an accurate estimate, this wasn't my first move or using movers. I TOLD THEM ABOUT THE GUNSAFE! Remember now the manager told me it was impossible, absolutely no way to get that safe moved now because they didn't have enough movers.......................well maybe not. My wife gave them an extra $100 and a freaking miracle occurred right there in Papillion, NE - THE SAFE BECAME MOVEABLE AGAIN! The movers decided at different points in the afternoon they were done and just left. Left my wife and 12 year old there to finish the move. She had to call neighbors to get the job completed. Needless to say there was damaged furniture, I didn't even try to get my money back. Use Firefighters on the Move, we used them to move into that house and they were amazing. At my new residence, they demanded the remainder of the moving fees which had now grown to $800.00 before they would unload my furniture. Everyone I talked to up until my move date was great. Very communicative, set expectations, etc. However, the day of my move, things went off the rails. 8:15am I called and they said they'd be on their way shortly. 9:30am, I called, and they said the driver is on his way. 10:30am they called me and said that their driver is MIA. No other drivers available until 11/15. For a large company like this, I am shocked that they didn't have a contingency plan plan in place. I was lucky enough to not have to move out that day, but what about someone whose lease ended that day? They refunded my deposit, but did not care about the inconvenience beyond that. Long, but worth the read! If I could give 0 stars I would, but you have to give at least one. We were quoted originally at $800-$1,200 for our 3 bedroom house move. This should have been our first red flag as it was considerably lower than every other quote we got, but their reviews online were overall good, so we trusted it. The day of the move started off great. I got the guys donuts and drinks and they got to work pretty quickly. I was told they charge for all the material they use to wrap things (and they wrap EVERYTHING), but again thought it would be within the original quoted price. The move ended up taking much longer then I expected, but every time I walked by the living room as I was bringing boxes out to my car, there were at least 2-3 guys joking around, talking about shoes, or looking at their phones. There were lots of items we were never planning on moving (so they weren't included in the original quote), and the movers continued to ask me if they could take it home with them, which I thought was really weird and put me in an uncomfortable position. We were leaving some bar stools chairs, workout equipment, and random items that weren't packed (like video game things) and these were the items the movers kept coming up to me and asking if they can take it. I actually ended up letting one of the guys take 2 bar stools, but again I felt really awkward that they were asking to take my stuff for free. At the beginning of the move when we covered what was going and what was staying, we ended up not wanting to move the basement fridge or basement deep freezer, so I honestly thought we would be paying closer to the lower end of our original quote because of that. After everything is loaded up and we get to the new house, you need to pay before they start unloading. We were given the tablet to pay and it was $2,200! That's $1000 MORE than the original quote, and that's with not moving 2 very heavy, large items that were originally on the list. They can keep your items "hostage" if you don't pay, so we had no choice but to pay it. I was speechless. The guys honestly moved pretty quickly with unloading the truck, which I appreciated, but they absolutely destroyed my wall right by the garage door. I attached a picture of part of the damage (there are 3 other walls next to this they damaged but this was the worst of it). They apologized immediately and said that the claims department will pay to get it fixed right away. I'm not a confrontational person so I said no problem, accidents happen, and left it at that. We then tipped these guys (I read online that is usually standard) because overall they were nice, funny guys, and then they left. I then go back to the old house and that's when I see that the movers left my garage stall door and the garage door to the house wide open. I confirmed with the guys before we both left (garage is on the side of the house where they parked, and I was at the front of the house by my car) that they closed the garage and they said they did. I also saw that they unplugged my deep freezer which was full of breast milk for my newborn and left it in the middle of the garage. Thankfully it had only been a few hours at this point so nothing was unfrozen or else I would have been devastated losing all of that milk. I have no idea why the deep freezer was moved when we had the conversation 2 different times that I'm not moving the deep freezer today. We then went back and forth with the company for over a month about getting the damage fixed the movers did. We were just told that they are not going to pay the entire amount to fix the wall. We have sent the bid we received 3 separate times and continue to get told that they are only going to pay a portion of it. So on top of spending $1000 MORE than the original quote, buying the movers breakfast, drinks, and tipping (which was my fault for trying to be nice), we are now going to have to pay out of pocket to get this damage fixed they did. The movers themselves were fast and helpful. I was NOT impressed with their boss "Gary". The communication was horrible, they asked me what I wanted to do when it was raining becayse movers were wet and the ramp was slick. I was happy to allow them to come back as long as it was done BEFORE 10am because we had movers ready by 1:00 at our destination. The women Destinee told me they get to work at 6:45am and would have it moved out before 10 for sure. The next day, I started calling at 7:50 because I hadent heard anything. No one answered the phone until 8:06, Gary answered and when I explained the situation he told me NO ONE gets to work until 8am, and the three that did part of the move didn't show up for work today. I told him this was unacceptable as we were in a time crunch and you already took my money but haven't even met the time minimum. He then threatened to cancel the movers all together, which we should have done because after 27 minutes 3 movers came. One mover was super quick and efficient his name was Jay. The other two I barely saw doing much. At one point I was told they found a bed bug on my bedframe. I went up and it was very recognizably not a bed big but a piece of dirt or my dogs dried up eye booger. The two movers apologized and said it was not a bed bug as did the women but then refuses to move the frame. The movers moved a few other things and then told us they were done because they had other jobs and we reached out time limit... which in the contract it says after 8 hours the price per hour goes up. This has been maybe 2.5 hours of work which we would have gladly paid for the extended time but that wasn't even an option. Destinee and the man sat on the truck while Jay tried to help finish the job as there was a lamp unplugged with no lightbulbs, mirror, and two chairs. We then packed up the rest on our own and saw them in their truck outside of Casey's down the street so not sure why they couldn't finish the job they started. Super disappointing for the price you pay to NOT even have the job done. Also I've never been treated so rudely by Gary from the Omaha office over the phone. Both Texas and Boston outfits were unhelpful & blamed each other so no one to date has been accountable. Had horrible packers with even less professionalism. For example put one pillow in a dish box and then put multiple dishes unwrapped with any sort of paper in with lamp (yes all broken). Refused to lock first truck prior to leaving until we threatened to call cops if they left our property without back of truck with our stuff locked. For context this was a 8+ state move across country. Mover literally fighting with us about locking it!!? Oh also not one thing was inventoried or signed by us?! Then due to bad packing by the first set of movers they had to get a 2nd truck the next day further delaying our move that impacted timeline with our employers. We went with All My Sons because of the private truck where we knew only our stuff. PLOT TWIST - they unloaded our 2nd truck and used a 3rd party ABF shared semi truck which moves commercial items WITHOUT OUR KNOWLEDGE OR ANY AUTHORIZATION. Believe there's some interstate commerce laws broken or straight up stealing our items and moving it with a vendor we never knew about. Items on 2nd truck showed up a week later and 90% broken which was our most expensive Bed, frames, tvs, computer monitors, Peloton, shelves, mattress bag opened and debris from commercial items on with our stuff. Not even a bulkhead to protect our residential items. This is just a little of it all we've been through ... please think twice before using them but we will never again. read more

SCAMMER ALERT!!! I scheduled my move three weeks in head of time. When I didn't hear from them 18 hours before my move to find out what time they would be coming. I was told that they didn't have a slot available for me, but that they would try to squeeze me in late in the afternoon. At this point, they asked me to go over my inventory with them again and told me that I will be charged double what I was quoted. When I complained about this, they canceled my move. I had to spend the next five hours looking for a mover and ended up paying high cost anyway because it was a last minute move at that point. THEY ARE SCAMMERS!! I then had to spend an hour, trying to find a corporate manager to complain to after they told me one did not exist, and when I did, I was finally able to get them to tell me that they're giving me back my deposit, though I won't hold my breath, after the local manager himself refused to do so. Much more expensive than I personally calculated, but I am bad at math and cheap so.... grain of salt. Also, it was cheaper than alternatives. However, it was worth it bc Kent (so badly wanted to make a Superman reference) and Marcus were friendly, super quick, efficient, and saved me money. I arranged to have All My Sons unload a truck after I moved from out of state. They were supposed to start at 8am and didn't arrive until 1pm. They said they were short staffed. My schedule was flexible so I wasn't too worked up. They were supposed to work at least 2 hours or until the truck was empty. They worked 2 hours and left me high and dry with the truck 2/3 unloaded. I called the owner and he was rude and unapologetic. I was a single woman left to unload the majority of a 26' truck into a 2nd story apartment.
