The lady asked me to leave so she could talk to my boyfriend about time frames, etc. When I left not only did she try pressuring him into buying a ring when we didn't even find one I liked, she tried to talk bad about me and the observations I was making about the rings I tried on. When we had the engagement ring and wedding ring joined, they sent the ring off and it came back damaged, at which point the employee working with it asked my wife if she would just deal with it. I would leave a zero start review if it was possible. I had a female store manager offer to order in loose stones for me to view and potentially purchase. After 6 weeks, I called and the associate assured me my order was on its way without bothering to ask me for my information to check their system. I called again after 7.5 weeks and the manager I spoke with was unable to find my order information. She wanted me to go back to the store to reorder, something I was unwilling to do since they proved how clearly incompetent they are at customer service. Thanks for wasting my time Helzberg. My boyfriend and I dedicated our entire Veteran's Day weekend to ring shopping. We have been discussing an engagement for the past few months. We initially intended to purchase from an online retailer (James Allen, Brilliant Earth, Blue Nile, etc.) but feared the struggles of the customer service aspect. Because of this, we decided we wanted to purchase from a business with a local location. I had a general idea of what I wanted (rose gold and an oval diamond) but was still unsure of the details. Helzberg was our third stop of the day. Forgive me, as I do not remember the names of the saleswomen, but we were immediately greeted by one of the women on the floor. We told her that we were looking at styles of engagement rings. They only had two oval styles in store (not uncommon, as ovals aren't so popular) and neither were in rose gold. I tried on one of the rings and fell in love. I expressed concern that it was in white gold rather than rose gold. The first saleswoman told us that it may be able to be ordered in rose gold. She then took us to her manager, who looked up the style online and even directed us to the Helzberg website to look at customizing a rose gold ring. After speaking to the manager, we found that it was not possible to get the exact ring I was wearing in rose gold. I was still in love with the ring, as it was a style I had never seen before. They had my boyfriend and I go to a back room with a different woman (I assume she was a specialist in diamonds), where the details of the ring were discussed and we were able to look at the diamond in detail. It was very informative. It is important to my boyfriend and I that our diamond was entirely cruelty free, and the woman outlined all of the details about the origins of Helzberg diamonds and provided the certification as well. This woman showed us the option of adding rose gold wedding bands to compliment the engagement ring, since the ring could not be ordered in rose gold. This was a great option and I'm glad she presented it to us! We were shown payment options, but we had an appointment with another store later that day, so we decided to hold off on purchasing. Turns out, I am glad we waited. We found a similar style at another store that was able to be ordered in rose gold. I am writing this review because Helzberg has AMAZING customer service and a beautiful selection, they just did not quite have what I was looking for (though this is not their fault and definitely not due to a lacking inventory, as my preference of oval and rose gold is uncommon and difficult to find in any store). read more

My husband bought me a ruby ring there in 2017. In keeping up with the inspections, in 2018, it was found that one of the stones was cracked. The ring was sent off to have the stone replaced and came back with one very pink stone set among the four dark red rubies. I protested this and the ring was sent off again and came back with five lighter red stones. I was not pleased that the dark red stones (which I preferred) had been switched out but "that's the way it is". At the inspection in November, a couple of the stones were loose so off it went again. At that time I was told the ring would be back December 18th and I would not be called unless there was a delay. I went to the store today, two saleswomen were standing by one of the cases talking to one another and were surprised I was there to pick up my ring because no one had made the calls yet about pick ups. One made a comment about how the delivery hadn't been sorted yet....why not? they weren't doing anything else....but went to look for my ring. Turns out my ring and another just like it had been put in the wrong plastic bags. It took a minute or two for the woman to sort it out and she told me "this is why we want you to wait until we call you". I told her I was told I wouldn't be called and her response was "normally we don't but we're pretty busy this time of year and don't have time to sort the deliveries right away". Again, why not? They were, literally, standing in the middle of the store talking to one another. Couldn't they have been checking their deliveries while engaged in conversation? We'll be taking our future business to one of Helzberg's competitors. read more

I bought a pearl bracelet today at Helzberg gateway mall Lincoln. The store associate added protection plan to the bracelet without informing me. After looking at the receipt, I told her that I don't need protection plan. In a grumpy voice, she replied: Don't bring it back when it breaks! Went in looking for an engagement ring and had a wonderful experience. Brian was great he asked several questions to figure out what we were looking for and showed us our options within out price range. He never tried to get us to buy down thing we couldn't afford. His suggestions and knowledge made us feel like we were getting a great deal from a good company. My fiancé lit up when we found "the one"! I was very pleased with the service, so much that when we got back to Kansas City we went to our local Helzberg and bought my wedding band. read more

The store manager, Jules, is very unprofessional. The necklace I purchased here gave me an awful rash on my neck. The minute I took the necklace off the rash healed up. Jules told me she's never seen a necklace cause a rash. She did not take any time to listen to my concerns. When I asked her to listen to my concerns then respond she told me to take my necklace and never come back. Please do your research before purchasing anything from this store! read more

Went through the process to get pricing on the ring I would want and they were extremely rude we I wasn't buying anything today. I went to this location to pick something out something for a gift. It was the worst unprofessional service I have experienced in a Helzberg before. The young gal who attempted to wait on me, was wearing a peach colored see through top with a black bra. Ok that might be ok for a nightclub, but not a 2 pm in the afternoon on a Sunday at work. I clearly think she threw herself together after a night of drinking because she was clearly hung over. She was completely spacey and couldn't remember where she laid her keys or how to look up something in the computer. I am not sure who was in charge, but obviously they didn't were clueless to her behavior and her unprofessional dress. I went somewhere else to get a gift. I think the next time I am in Lincoln, I will skip this place. read more

So I said to clarify I am trying to pay 250.00 for my sister on her account and you are refusing to take my money- Karisa said yes that is our company policy. I said there is nothing you can do and she said No - I then asked to speak to the store manager and was told that she is refusing to talk to me and to call 1-800-Helzberg. Again I clarified - so you are refusing to take my money and your store manager is refusing to talk to me . Terrible service !!! I then called 1-800-Helzberg and was promptly told that they will absolutely NOT take my money to help my sister and it is up to the store manager to decide if they want to help or not. So Julie Blackman the store manager at Helzberg Diamonds at Gateway Mall Lincoln NE is a terrible manager. Having worked in retail as a store manager for 20 years I would NEVER refuse to speak to a customer or try to find a solution for them. Oh and to top it off when I finished my conversation with Helzberg customer service she informed me that I would receive an e mail verification that my complaint would be addressed - I politely asked her how exactly she would e mail me when she never asked me for my e mail address and she said "oh- right" well I guess I should get that SMH. Avoid this place like the plague !!! UPDATE - so after stewing on this and realizing how upset I was- I decided to write a letter to the CEO and give her the details of what happened - She personally contacted my sister today and corrected the situation and ensured that the staff would be trained properly on how to offer customer service. And also on how to properly resolve situations that may arise in the future. Mrs.Beryl Raff was kind and graceful in a difficult situation.
