Decided to try this place out because of the Yelp reviews and Hema treats you almost TOO GOOD. I usually fill my brows in with powder but after she is done with your brows she makes you want to embrace how they naturally are, of course after her threading touch up my brows naturally grow uneven and she shaped them so well to where they don't look like they are uneven at all. I am sparse in some areas and she totally did her magic and made every part of the brows perfectly even. She recommended almond oil, I usually use coconut oil but I'm gonna her suggestion now. read more

Had to find a new threading location since my lady at my previous place is no longer working there. That always seems to happen whenever I find someone I like. Well I'm glad i found this place since Hema was very friendly, greeted me with a smile. Other reviews are right, she is very gentle! I've been to many threading places and she's by far the most gentle of them all. She also did a good job. I explained to her that the last place I tried out took off way too much and I was trying to grow out my brows and she gave me tips on how to grow it as well as her cleaning was perfect. she didnt take off too much and she was also able to reshape it at the same time. My sister told me about this place. I went to go see her and she was able to correct my eyebrows. Side note, in the past other places screwed up my eyebrows. My sister told me about her and I loved how her eyebrows looked. She is very friendly and I enjoyed my massage at the end. She has the softest hands. She also gives you a punch card. Never have a problem parking she is located in a good place. Her salon is clean i just wished she would open earlier instead of 10:30am. I finally found my eyebrow lady. read more

Totally unprofessional. I usually don't leave reviews but this place deserves NO STARS if it were possible. I contacted this establishment on Wednesday to schedule an appointment for Thursday. Just for my eyebrows. When I spoke with the lady who answered, she agreed 1pm Thursday would be fine. She instructed me to wear a mask and to call when I was in front. I got there at 12:50 to have time to call & check in. I called once, it just rang to voicemail. Called a second time & got the voicemail before the second ring. same thing a third time. and the final phone call just rang to voicemail. I even text @12:05 to let her know i was outside. The lights were on and you could see someone in the back. I drove from Hawthorne to keep the appointment on time and she couldn't even give me the decency of an explanation. I was grateful for the appointment due to covid & would have appreciated at least an explanation because i can understand things happen. BUT I'VE GOTTEN NOTHING! I tried to call again today and now my number is blocked. I just moved to Long Beach less than 4 weeks ago, so I needed to find a new threading place. From all the Yelp reviews I was skeptical but I had to take a risk and do it. After Hema first cleaned up my brows, I wanted a little arch shape and she took her time, and made me feel I was in control because we all know when it comes to brows it's a #1 thing for the face. She did such an AMAZING JOB! I certainly will be back to see her in two weeks. I found my new eyebrow lady. Thank you so much! I feel happy again, and on top of that she gave me a punch card so after the 10th one 11th is free. I've been using Lash Boost by Rodan and Fields to grow out my eyebrows and for the price I paid of $150 it was so wort it. Now my brows look 10X better than I have ever had them. Service is quick and an appointment is usually not needed, though she is the only person working and if she is doing henna when you arrive she will not see you. I found Hemma via Yelp. I just moved to the area and was looking for a new brow place. While the salon isn't upscale, Hemma is amazing. She did exactly what I asked. I have big thick eyebrows that can be easily ruined but Hemma made them look awesome. She kept the tails, and only cleaned them up keeping their natural shape, which again, is just what I asked for. Came here yesterday with the bestie and I'm pretty sure I'll be coming back! Not only is Hema good at threading, her prices are cheaper than most. I only got my brows threaded and instead of the usual $8, Hema charges $7. I know it's only a dollar off but that's an extra dollar for me to keep :P The studio is located in Nissi Beauty Salon near Von's on Broadway. Hema also does henna and when I asked about the prices, she said it ranges from about $10-15 or maybe more depending on how detailed and where you want the henna. Not too shabby at all!
