What a neat place for Filipino specialty, it is a mom and pop shop selling everything from grocery, produce, hot wheels, trading cards, etc. They also have a to go food place inside selling some food, when I was there it was a bit empty, maybe they were changing stuffs, I saw some fried tilapias and chicken adobo, that's about that. The seafood section located in the back were mostly frozen, I didn't see any fresh seafood on displays like other Asian market, or maybe they had them stored in the back, who knows. I was looking for some Japanese seasoning, but they didn't sell it here, it's called Nori Fume Furikake, but they do have everything else. read more

A bit of a drive but if you have a craving for pinoy foods or goods and are close to the area it's worth checking out they have plenty of hot food entrees you can take to go and it seems to always be fresh and ready. The few times I've come back be never been disappointed. I'm also able to get most of the staple pinoy goods I need. Only down side is the location as there seem to be a noticeable amount of homeless and folks with either drug or mental issues. I didn't feel in any danger but I'd probably just come out to this plaza during the day to be safe. read more

Literally not one complaint The food is always amazing: the pork adobo is to die for, chickens good but it has bones if your into that, pancit noodles are good, lumpia is more on the thin side but still good, pork and fish sisig is great add some tortilla chips and it's almost ceviche (but the husband thinks I'm weird for it because that's not how it's traditionally ate), oh and the bbq skewers are always cooked perfectly, menudo was delicious. AND they have fridgerated(and warm) pork/chicken buns that are perfect. My husband has been to Asia and he says it's all just as good. Found this hidden gem here in Hemet. Came in around 10 AM. Felt the peace of God. Praise Music going and a very relaxed atmosphere. The food was unbelievably good. Fresh, flavorful, and piping hot. I had the chicken adobo, the barbecue chicken skewer, and some white rice. Delicious! Generous portions, and reasonable prices .The staff was incredibly friendly and gracious. Hemet Asian Market is located in the shopping plaza on Florida and Lyon, just diagonal from the Hemet Mall. They have a wide selection of Asian canned products, packaged dry and refrigerated noodles, sauces, frozen items, and they even have a small little eatery to the side of their store, where they have pre-cooked Filipino dishes such as adobo, lumpia, isda (fish), and pancit noodles, to name a few. I mainly come out to Hemet Asian Market because they have amazing Sisig, which is similar to a combination of diced chicharon (pork rinds), carnitas, lemons, onions, and garlic. Sour, spicy, salty, and super crunchy! It's an item you'd have to order in advance because it takes time to prepare; however, sometimes they do carry it and will have it prepared as one of their eatery items. It's a drive to come out here but the sisig is so good that it's worth the drive! Plus, they are so friendly here and the store is large for a mom-and-pop shop (they have small shopping carts) and it's a clean Asian market! After a few months of living in Hemet, I finally stumbled upon this Filipino oasis. I went in on a cheat day and honey, I was not cheated out of a delicious meal. Sometimes I've been burned by restaurants but this place was worth the carbs! I ordered a two item combo plate, sisig and chicken adobo. I usually only get pancit on the side but I was talked into getting the rice too. Plus you know that I had to get a few lumpias ("With sauce?" she asked. "Of course!") and a four pack of putos. Now, I've had better chicken adobo - this one was lacking in spices and vinegar, however the latter I can forgive a place because I like mine extra vinegary; like maybe it needed more bay leaves or something, but it was a little lacking. The lumpia was nothing to write home about either, but the fact that homemade lumpia usually surpasses store bought can be brought up too as an excuse. For these stikes, I can't give them 5 stars. However, the sisig was some of the best sisig I've ever had! It was crisp, it was crunchy, and with the onions giving it a refreshness that made it as good or better that homemade! The pancit was also excellent, not too oily (which I've run into far too often), the cabbage was crisp but not undercooked, and the noodles were nicely proportioned between small and large sized ones. And the desert! The puto was like a cloud of heaven! As I walked out with them, I thought that four was too many: "can't they sell them in packs of two or three?" I thought to myself. Having eaten one, now I don't have doubts that they'll be consumed. I look forward to my next visit and I'm already planning what I'll be ordering. read more

I can go on and on about this market. Firstly, I love supporting family owned markets, especially during a time such as COVID-19. They are a very respectful family and they never fail to greet each customer with a smile. Their lumpia is my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE. I always get a tray when I have a shift at the hospital because the nursing staff DEMOLISHES it. I know that they also try to keep up to date with certain trends, and stock many different unique items. Even though it seems so minuscule, I absolutely could not find the brown tapioca boba pearls anywhere and what did you know--they had an entire bag that will last me for an entire year haha. All in all, I definitely think it is the family the keeps me coming back and their amazing traditional filipino food. Very friendly. A hidden gem that deserves more recognition! read more
