Extremely disappointed in the service / care. Went for an initial visit, paid the $25 fee. Waited over an hour in a lobby with no seats (there are 3 but they were full) They finally called, and then it was a 25 minute wait for the doctor. The nicest part of the whole place is the glasses lady. Super kind. But when we went to get glasses they told me there was an extra $35 in fees that I now need to pay that they should have charged me at the beginning "supposedly" don't know what it was for.. but I already paid the 25 so $60 in fees just for the visit. Fine but not what I was quoted. I paid for the glasses and was told two weeks. I told them I was going to order an extra set online and they assured me two weeks. The following business day I requested the prescription. I've asked for it 5 times at this point and it's never been provided. How did I pay for a service and you won't provide me with the glasses or prescription to even purchase my own? And then when I expressed the frustration because it's hard not being able to SEE. She said it could take an additional 4 weeks and to call back. Absolute mess all together. Still don't have the prescription. read more

It's now day 4 after a serious set of diagnosis of my eyes by Dr Susan which was very welcoming, easy going, super hi tech camera was able to see my eye and all its universe up close. I was educated by her and her assistant which helped me to feel so super comfortable. This office works very smoothly together. I felt like I was part of an extended family. They took good care of me answered my questions and concerns from the front desk handling my past experiences with prescriptions and with over the counter glasses. It took over a year to get a good pair of glasses and when I finally made it to this place. Front desk, Dr, then Luis and assistant are the ones who took the exam info and began to tag team me into a my new pair of glasses. They made me feel understood they listened to me and found my weaknesses to eye glass shopping. They found the right size and the right pair the right color the right features the right spec configuration and educated me on everything to make my purchase. The cost was perfect for me and my needs. Two weeks later just like they said walla la my new pair of perfectly looking and perfect sight now with these glasses I am so happy my family loves these glasses I can see far and close and I love the look. The office Manager Totiana Navoro was rude, they want $20 for what ? Something that should be covered under your insurance. The Manager said $20 for an eye exam to see in the back of your eye with no side effects or drops inside your eye that has lots of side effects she said im like are you kidding me right now.... she was so nasty and rude I asked her who was above her she said NO ONE I than said I needed to speak to the doctor she said she would have the doctor call me and hung up. Than I called IEHP to file a complaint and IEHP Rep had me call back and the same lady answered and I asked her what was the name of her office and that IEHP supervisor was on the phone and she said she wasn't gonna help me and than she hung up. After the IEHP heard how rude she was to me she filed a complaint and opened up an investigation because she said IEHP members should not be charged $20 for anything. Run from this office. read more

First off, I will say that Dr. Susan Martinez is the best...she is knowledgeable, friendly and seems like a good doctor. But the entire office smells like an animal died in there. And that's no exaggeration. Dr. Martinez's technician (Luis?), the guy who fits you for glasses is THE WORST. He is completely unprofessional, has a horrible attitude, and rips off customers if he can. They charged my insurance $456 for a pair of reading glasses.... really? And he refused to give me my prescription; I'm lucky I got a receipt that had the results of my exam on it (which by the way America's Best said was not a prescription). I'm writing this because perhaps Dr. Martinez does not know how horrible this man is. She should get rid of this person immediately, as he is the face of her business, and his bad attitude (with a fake smile) and thievery ways will ruin her in the end. read more

I'm very disappointed that my mother had her glasses made here and they were way to big and a male optometrist there refused to fix them there and he sold them to her165$ and refused to even adjust them because he said he might break the lease and if he bent the ear part they would put soars on the back of her ears , and if he tightened the nose area it would mess up the bifocal so obviously he clearly could see they were big and so she tried two days to ware them but she had headaches , brand new glasses and he refused to refund her money or even try to fix them , so as the caretaker told him this was not over its actually the beginning so my mothers name is Patrice so fix them or I will be picketing on Florida ave the first time I make time. I love the doctor there she extremely helpful and is extremely good at what she dose. However today I called to place an order for my contacts. Before I placed the order I asked if there was a way I could get the same trial I was given so I could see since mine had fallen out. The front desk had me fill out a form through text then took payment for my order.. After the front desk already ran my payment for my order. She tells me they don't give trials to patients.... I asked if there was a way I could purchase one because I can't see and she tells me there are no contacts like that in the whole building. Obviously that's not the case because they have patients in there for contact Evaluations. I asked so there's nothing you guys will help me with she says no. I asked how long my contacts will take she says 1-2 weeks!!! So after they took my payment they tell me it will take weeks for me to get contacts and that they won't give me trials so I can at least see the next 2 weeks. I have 2 special needs kids one who I have to take care of skin blisters with needles and im not going to be abel to see for 2 weeks... I don't think I've ever felt so unimportant to a company before. They clearly have contacts on site but apparently once they get money don't want to give them out. I can't believe I won't be abel to see and there's nothing an eye center will do to help. read more

The staff at this office has started to harass me. I owe $120. I explained when they called that I am going through some things( loss of a child, loss of a sister, house broken into, dog killed, puppies stolen ect.) I didn't think I needed to explain that, as I'm going through some things and I will get to you very soon should have been enough but not for this office. This office has called me at least three times a day every day for the past month. The last draw Wednesday May 4th, I received a phone call in the morning with a threat of an additional $2 a day added to my account. I informed them go ahead add the $2 a day I will get to you as soon as I can. It did not end there I got a phone call at 2 p.m. the same day stating since you cannot afford your glasses, bring us back our product. When you can afford the product we will then return them to you.( Money Is NOT...NOT the issue!!) I have never in my life had any office say such words. I have decided to take them back their product I want all my money back that I put towards that product as well as my children's glasses and warranties I will never in my life step foot back into this sham of an office. I will also contact my insurance to let them know that I have not purchased anything from this office and if I were charged, they need to reimburse my insurance. I started out really liking this place. I called and got an appointment right away. My other eye doctor in Hemet couldn't get me in for 6 weeks. I liked the girls at the front desk very much and liked the doctor but it just went down hill from there. They tried to charge me almost $600 for my glasses. And thats with my insurance paying part. So I went to Costco and got the same exact glasses for $220 out the door! I then went back to order contacts. The original exams was for glasses and contacts both. I know that for a fact because I had a trial contact in my eye when I left the exam. When I got there they said, nope. No eye exam for contacts. So I had to be examined all over again and pay an additional $25. After a week of wearing the contacts I came back in to order the contacts. (Now understanding all this back and forth....I live in Idyllwild. 35 mins drive be each way! ) Nope, can't order them. The guy who has to help me was not there and the girls at the front desk can't help me. I go home....he calls me, I miss the call. I call him, leave a message. He never calls me back. I go back down to Hemet today, go to order the contacts. They want $11for 3 months of contacts. WHAT?? I asked for my prescription. Proceed to WalMart to order my contacts. Nope. Can't order them. The prescription is incorrect. They can't fax the correct prescription to WalMart because their fax machine is broke. They want ME to drive all the way back to the doctors to pick up another prescription. Never got my contacts ordered. Because by now I'm DONE! They are mailing the correct prescription to me, I hope! Oh, cost if contacts at WalMart....$74. Here is an update... I went back to them to order my contacts... they now want an additional $120 plus the cost of contacts. Do not!!! Do not!! Go to this place. Luis, is the biggest idiot. Just in the building to rip you off and your insurance. Done!!! read more
