Nevea Evea again! I'm so disappointed with this place. I normally go to Target optical and aIt was the biggest mistake to change. I order glasses and when I got them they didn't fit right so they said they said they had problems with that manufacture so they offered me another solution which was to order some new ones. It has been over two months and i still do t have my glasses. They said the manufractur lost the order. Every day I called they said they will have them ready next week. I even had one of their employeees text saying they were sorry and she will escalate the problem. The front desk people are nice but whoever does their 3rd party needs to be replaced. Finally after that a manager called saying the manufactor found them and will send the frame to them which means i have to wait for the lens to be cut which can take another month: They don't offer refunds so Inhave no choice but to wait. UPDATE: As the appt. went on and their assistance was needed, their willingness to help was much better. Maybe it was just a rough start. Give them a chance. Lol Poor customer service of office staff (Noemi and EJ). I brought my mom here for an overdue eye appt. When working with seniors you should be polite in my opinion. It's basic customer service. Their attitude is as if you are bothering them. For a first time visit I wasn't impressed. The gentleman "EJ" didn't even acknowledge my mother by name. He simply summoned her with his hand. Unprofessional in my opinion. Staff was not helpful. There are limited options in this area but if you can go elsewhere... you should! read more

Dr.Kenneth Christopher does a all inclusive and thorough exam. His responds to questions asked are non judgmental and informative. He also refers patients in a timely manner- when abnormalities are detected. My husband eye pressures were only slightly elevated-he referred him before any visual damage occurred. I would really want to give this place a great review because it's a local optical place, but I can't. I found it by putting my zip code on the TRICARE website. It was very easy to get an appointment. When I entered, the place was almost empty and clean. The receptionist/assistant was very nice and professional, but you couldn't make conversation with him. Dr. Christopher doesn't seem like the most personable optometrist, but he does what's needed. I just didn't get that feeling that I would want to return and because of the following. I wear contacts and glasses. My visit was a routine eye exam to get a prescription. I was told to take off my contacts and was given a contact lens case. When I opened it, THERE WAS AN OLD DRIED UP CONTACT LENS inside. I told Dr. Christopher and he said "What? Let me get you another one." No apology or anything. I've been wearing glasses for 20 years and contacts for 12. I've lived in 3 different states and have seen an optometrist every year. I have NEVER been given a contact lens case with an old one inside. Definitely not returning. read more

Support local small businesses! Sun City Optical & Optometric was very efficient. They got me in to see Dr. Christopher right at my appointment time. Everything was clean and up to date. Dr. Christopher did a very thorough eye exam. I did not purchase any glasses from here because I did not need a new pair, but it looks like they had a wide selection. The newer gentleman that worked the front desk was very nice and friendly. There is a lady that also worked the front desk who was professional but not as friendly. Dr. Christopher gets straight to business with his exam there is no side chit-chat with him. Overall it was a positive experience and I​ will be returning when I am due for another exam. read more

Pro: Same day examine, chill staff - for a reason, fair price. Con: HIPAA noncompliance, chill staff - for a reason, I found this place on Yelp. I was a bit taken by this place for only having one review, but it is Sun City, them old folks don't usually whip out them wizard boxes and connect to them interwebz to post up a review. I call this place first, was surprised by the open schedule for same day examine, but once again, Sun City (SC). The picture for the place is a blessing, this shopping center is where dreams/old people go to die, it's a freaking maze, everything looks the same and that's not just I have crappy Chinese eyes. The staff up front was nice, got me signed in and checked out asap, then had me in the examine chair in a few moments. The doctor's info was all over the wall, Ex Navy, Post Davis and Berkeley grad, the man doesn't sing or dance, and was straight to the point. Straight to the point that some of the instruments in the office wasn't that clean. The lens for the primary vision test was a bit foggy, which isn't a good idea. However, from the doctor's point of view, it's good enough for you, civvy. (SON, HAVE YOU EVER DILATE A MAN DURING COMBAT?? IT WILL CHANGE A MAN) Anyhoo, I got my contacts for random events, I think this is a good enough place for them old folks in SC. Note: The staff are not shy cuz they hate you, just any excitement to the local gen pop will turn getting a bi focal trip into a ER cardiac arrest filled fun evening. read more

I have been coming here off & on for 2 years. The doctor is really good. Staff is friendly. Don't be intimidated by the lady in the front, she just has a loud voice but she's really nice. Atleast they don't lie to you and sugar coat things to try to make you come in. As far as my glasses, i am more than satisfied with them. I would recommend this place to anyone. We went there yesterday because my son broke his glasses and they made em in less than an hour after he was seen. Ofcourse, my insurance didn't pay for it because it wasn't over the 24 months yet so i paid cash for the whole thing. Prices are reasonable and they have alot of selections to choose from!! Even though i live in Temecula i would drive all the way out here just for their service 'cause they're really good. Highly recommend them!!! read more

Too bad I can't give this optometrist a "0" ZERO. I've been here for glasses a couple times. The last pair were progressive lens with all the coatings (I thought*).They quoted me about $650.00 for the one pair, told me insurance would only cover $500.00, but that they would "work it out". Within a few days one of the lens fell out. I took them back and the lady "fixed" them.... .....Wrong!!! The lens kept falling out, I kept going back.....2 to 3 times a WEEK for over two MONTHS. Obviously they were not able to fix them, and they wouldn't replace them. So I quit going in. Lens kept falling out. This past April I broke my wrist. When the lens fell out I couldn't fix them myself, so I went back to get them "fixed". The woman that sold me the glasses, and tried to fix them, is no longer there. The women I spoke to in April has been there a long time. She was there on many of the occasions I went in to get the lens put in. I told her I had been having problems the entire time, but now with my wrist broken I could no longer fix them myself and was not coming in every other day. I told her I wanted them REPLACED. She said NO. She told me she didn't know I'd been having problems, I hadn't been in to complain or call. True enough, I had already decided I wouldn't be going back there. When she looked at me and said, "I don't know that you've been...." I told her fine, I'll see you in court! I haven't filled a small claims complaint yet, but I have reported it to Medicare and the insurance provider, and changed insurance companies when they wouldn't help. Several weeks ago I went to a new optometrist, with newer equipment and technology. Found out some things the other optometrist didn't have the tools for. That's why I took my wife there. No insurance, but only $400 for two (2) pair of progressive lens. *** The glasses I have now were supposed to have all the "bells & whistles", coatings. The women who sold me the glasses knew that I spend a majority of my day working on a computer. Guess what? I found out from my newest optometrist that they didn't put the anti-glare coating on! Now I'm using drops to counter act the effects of the glare, now that I know why my eyes have been bothering me. THANKS DOC! This is a small office with limited choices in frames, I didn't have but two choices originally. That's when I found out that the frames in the lobby are not display, those are the frames they put your new lens in. I wonder how long my frames were there on the rack? This office has sent me numerous emails and text messages reminding me: "EUGENE, it is time for your appointment at Sun City Optical & Optometric". Apparently the women I spoke to last hasn't told the boss about are last conversation. I'm tired of being reminded about this optometrist. STOP contacting me. I'm not coming back!!! This place sucks. I got my prescription done here a few months ago. When I had my glasses made, they came out blurry. I verified with this office that the glasses matched my prescription from Dr. Christopher. When I tell them they are still blurry, they want to charge my $60 for having my eyes rechecked. I told her that the prescription is supposed to be valid until August 2020. She said it didn't matter and that they were still going to bill my insurance. Then she looks up my insurance and says its been terminated, which simply isn't true. There is only one person working the entire front office. It is a rude and impatient Hispanic lady with very short hair. She needs to work some place else if she hates her job this much. It's obvious she doesn't like being around people. I went there to get my glasses adjusted once, she didn't even say hello. She just looked at me! I asked if I could get my glasses adjusted and she said one minute. 30 MINUTES went by before she even talked to me again. Go somewhere else. read more

I absolutely love this office. Yes it's located in Old Town USA, however the service and expertise in this office can't be beat. I've been a patient/customer there since probably 2011. Martha is awesome and straight to the point. I believe Kim was new to the team about a year ago when I was last there. She's a great addition with a great personality. Although staff is great Dr. Kenneth Christopher is really the reason why my family and I keep coming here and will continue to come here. He's professional and straight to the point and have never had any issues with my contacts or glasses prescription. I moved back to Murrieta back in 2015 and thought about going back to Lobue Laser and Eye Medical Center. Although the optometrists I saw there was great their front office staff was not as professional nor friendly and didn't utilize my insurance properly. Needless to say I'm back at Dr. Kenneth Christopher's office and here to stay! Looking forward to my next appointment in February! read more
