If you play here you will want to stay out of the bunkers. There are so many gophers it's like "Whack a moe" with zero tickets if you can get out in one! And the fairways are grazing grounds for cattle! Ant hills and gopher mounds are lift clean and throw it as far as you can. Oh yes definitely towards the green. What a shame. A local golf course but the guy at the registers is a GROUCHHHHHH. Not the guy with that normally has his dogs, the other guy with glasses. Had interactions with him on 3 occasions now, different family member and they have all been the same. We can see VARIOUS golf carts parked but apparently none are available. My home is constantly bombarded by golf balls, broken windows broken tiles that I have to pay for myself. No I did not buy this house it was not a choice but I have to live with it due to deaths in the family. The owner could careless, if he did he would put up protective netting where golfers slice the balls especially below the hills or at the very least stop cutting down the natural barriers that where originally there to protect the homes. It would also be helpful if the owner cleaned up the fire hazards next to the homes that no one on the golf coarse see's that is hidden. On match and all the homes will go up in a blaze. This golf club is very unwelcoming and rude. Specifically, the lady who worked the snack bar DEMANDED a tip and when she thought I did not tip she accused me of not tipping! If you need a tip that bad for working a snack bar then maybe get a new job where a tip might actually be offered for working hard. LOSER read more

Staff was really nice, the course is in decent shape. Greens are beautiful. Fairways are a little spotty and could use some TLC and perhaps some good visual mow lines to define the direction of the holes. I would definitely golf here again! Good value and good golfing experience. read more

This is not a bad course for the money. We paid $19 on golf now. Had a 12.20 tee time and went out on time. Fairways were in pretty good shape. No issues if you keep your ball in the fairway. Greens were in good shape and well maintained. Flag sticks do not have GPS so you're on your own to figure yardage. They have a driving range which is a long walk. You're not allowed to take the cart there. Putting green is ok, if you get more than two people on it you're crowded....it's small. Good course for the rate we paid. read more

I've played at 50+ courses throughout California and this is the worst course i've come by. I was "kicked off" for driving backwards on the cart track. Apparently it's a hazard to drive backwards?? Our group has always liked this course. Nice layout, greens and fairways. But today when we played they have new golf carts with a GPS system. The carts shutdown pretty much if you need to leave the fairway. And I don't mean way out in the woods but just off the fairway in the rough. Everyone had to back up all day just to get the cart to work again. We have a few handicapped golfers that said they can't golf this course again. They did give them a handicap flag for their cart which was totally useless since they couldn't take the carts to their balls. We'll probably have to take this course off our future schedule. read more

Ive yet to play the course but it seems nice. I actually come here to practice my swing on the driving range every time I'm in the area. Friendly staff in the clubhouse. And everyone is always in a good mood. The driving range is an open field surrounded by mountains with awesome views so it's pretty peaceful. So we tried using a GROUPON yesterday for a round of golf. wasn't much of a discount ($7 off) but the guy behind the counter was adamant that they don't work with groupon, even though they are listed there! he was fairly rude to my husband and just didn't want to help us out or anything. didn't wanna hear anything about groupon. fine whatever, we paid full price. then as we get our golf gear and head toward the golf carts, i can see the guy head towards the cart tender and start saying something about us. cart tender was really nice and took our info in a kind quick manner. my husband was just ready to play he was tired of dealing with the counter guy. they have their tee times set up so close together, the people behind us were waiting on us most of the time and we were trying to let the people infront of us play through so we wouldn't hit our ball towards them. a couple times, the people behind us would hit their balls and it would land near us. maybe space out the tee times a bit? after the ninth hole, you do get to have a bit of a rest as the clubhouse is in between 9 and 10. restrooms were fairly clean, and there was someone at the counter selling food/drinks. i saw maybe 2-3 port-a-potties while we played which is nice to know in case of emergencies. the greens were also fairly kept up with. one of the nicer golf courses we have played through. that guy in the beginning though really knocked off the stars for this rating. he was not kind or friendly and he's obviously just there to take money and that's it. read more

Under fairly new ownership/ management and it shows. The fairways and greens are better than I've seen them and the grounds crew seems to be everywhere working on everything. The clubhouse is neat, well stocked and seems well run. The staff is friendly and the mood is always laid back and welcoming. And, it's a great value for money. Definitely worth a look. read more

I've been playing this course off and on for several years. I think I've the worst and the best. But overall I enjoy the course. This time, I signed up for a golf "Deal" on golfnow. I went to check in. The "gentleman" behind the counter looked at his screen, made a face (not a good sign) and said GolfNow had screwed up and he would not honor the tee time. I needed to call GolfNow. I asked if there was anything he could do. He looked at me and said, "you'll have to call GolfNow". I said to him that kinda puts me in the middle. Again asked if he could do anything. His response, (drum role please), "you'll have to call GolfNow". To tell you the truth I was willing to take another tee time, and then deal with GolfNow. They're usually pretty good. But this guy, was the epitome of customer-no-service. By the look on his face, it seemed he wanted to be anywhere but there. Wow! Sitting behind a desk, checking golfers in isn't the worse gig. A 5-year old could do it. But then again . . . Oh, the two stars. It can be nice course with nice views. read more

Can you say piece of crap? I used to play this course when it was Landmark and even for a few years afterward. It used to be in good condition. We played a tournament today and starting with the restaurant, I don't want to come back. The guys in our tourney were waiting to tee off and we had about 45 minutes. I thought I would get a bite to eat and the person running the grill didn't want to be there. She had a crappy attitude, she was very slow and none of the condiments were fresh. I understand possibly having been thrown into the position but say something to the management! You don't put out moldy onions and rotten ketchup. The course wasn't maintained like it had been even a year ago. There was mud everywhere and dirt where there used to be grass. We each paid $45 to play there. We should have been charged $20. That is my last time playing Hemet Golf Club. I'm done! read more

This course has potential but with slow play and not very well taken care of, its not the hidden gem of the IE like it claims. This is the 2nd time ive played here and the last time was 3 years ago. Still the best deal in the Hemet/Menifee/Temecula/Murrieta/French Valley/Lake Elsinore range of courses. Very inexpensive, good condition, fun and interesting layout and pretty convenient location. Pace of play was very good today as well, a bit less than 3 hours for 18 holes. read more

After a long week in the office, it is a great time to hit 18 with some friends. Right now the course in is ok shape and greens are tough to read. "Hint all the greens break toward Hemet". Would highly recommend the heart attack hotdog, it is bacon wrapped with melting cheese down the center, a perfect start to the back nine. If you are looking for an affordable course to have a great time with friends I would highly recommend my friends. Hit EM straight. read more

I like the layout and always enjoy playing this course. When I played a few weeks ago, it was in very good shape. At other times, however, it has been a little rough. The range is off-site and Hemet Golf Club offers little in the way of amenities; no food to speak of (the snack bar is usually closed, even on weekends) and there is no cart service. Most recently, I paid $26 for 9 holes, late on a Sunday afternoon. By comparison, Seven Hills Golf Club, just a few miles away, charges $9 for 9 holes at that time of day. read more

Called in to book and made reservations to play friday 12/27/13, when I showed up the person at the desk could not find my reservation. They OVERBOOKED and had like 6 people to the same time..( beside us ) Back up of about one hour and the asian guy (very rude person) blamed on the morning frost.. WHAT ? ? Course is in decent shape for the price and provides a decent layout. However, I showed up to my tee time and had to wait to tee off because the pro shop / starter were cramming in as many people as possible. this one golf club that it is better to be in the rough than the fairway. at least it's GREEN. the staff needs to take happy pills before they come to work. if you want to play somewhere better go to the city park the green grass is better there and better maintained. to bad it's a good place but the staff and ground keepers have no idea how to welcome guest and take care of the grounds. FORGET the sand traps they should just call them waist bunkers I think the sand went away years ago. you can walk out to your ball hit it and walk back without leaving one mark. read more

My brother and I went golfing the other day and our cart breaks down on the way to hole 3. So I called the front office (can't call this a pro shop) and instead of the guy saying "sorry, wow let me get someone out there to help you out," the guy starts telling me how to fix it. Not really my job to do so, but I went along with it. Tried for a few minutes and I told him I was over it send a new cart. Then he gets snappy and tells me, "okay well you'll have to wait I'm the only one here." Really, you are? I just paid for my tee time and saw 3 of you up there doing absolutely nothing, so don't lie to mm because your lazy staff wants to stay in the cool A/C. I don't know if the rude worker thought I was dumb and couldn't fix the cart, but he sends one guy to give me a cart. I was so happy that the maintenance Guy couldn't fix it too. Because he told me to call the front and say he needs a tow. Called the old man again, Kevin I think his name was, and said hey you need to get your man a ride. He just proceeds to laugh and hangs up on me. Quality service my friend. Quality. I finished hole 3,4,5 and was driving back around past 3 to hit hole 6 and the maintenance guy finally got a ride. Let's start with the grocery bag of range balls but I can get over that no big deal. No beer cart person through out the whole round, the golf course has a great layout but the bunkers need a lot of work. When I get to the 19th hole I had some questions about the menu and this lady was so RUDE and said it is what it says it is, WTF lol. So I gave up and asked for a plain ass hotdog and she told me the ketchup and mustard is at the table where the big group of guys are at and turned away. Manager needs to get involved more and make sure his customers are taken care of. read more

A very average muni type course. Nothing special at all about it. Bunkers are hard packed, easier to chip out of them instead of trying a real sand shot. Greens have brown spots in some areas and run slower than the practice greens. Rough is pretty thin as are the fairways. Layout was ok, but again, nothing special. Good if you are in the area, but not a place to visit for this sole purpose. read more
