This was my second time at Hemet Nails, the first being on February 28 of this year. I am new to Hemet, so I wanted to check out at least two local salons before deciding on one permanently. This is likely my permanent selection based on the quality of work, ease of appointment, closeness to my new apartment, and price. Today, like in February, the owner found a very nice deep purple gel polish with sparkles, which was a huge help. In February, I only had a fill, but today, I also had a pedicure with a sea salt scrub and callous remover. This was my first pedicure in about a year; it was way overdue. The pedicure and fill were excellent. I was surprised I could make a last-minute appointment for a Friday afternoon, so I was delighted it worked out. Today, I got out the door for $71 plus tip (which ended up being $35 for the fill/overlay and $35 for the pedicure, plus a $1 fee for using a card). Went back to get them "fixed" and the owner that sits at the front desk used a dirty nail dremel on me that she used on someone else while I was waiting and she was talking on her personal cellphone the whole time. I really like this nail shop, it's clean, updated, the ladies there are really nice and they're affordable. I like to get my nails done at a place where I feel comfortable and this is one of those kinds of shops. I've gone to other nail shops that have staff that don't speak to me, they only speak to each other in a language I can't understand. I enjoy talking to the person that's going to do my nails and/or pedicure and I found that the couple of times I've been there I'm warmly greeted and they talk to me and when they talk to each other it's generally in English. I always feel like at the other places they're talking to each other and it's about me and that makes me very uncomfortable. I've been coming here for about 5 months since I've moved to Hemet. Honestly I'd only recommend Mike. He's very gentle and very patient does a great job. I had another lady today and I am very unhappy she was in a rush and didn't even get the sides of my nails. She didn't even let the polish dry all the way before she filed them so the polish chipped off. They look horrible. I'm not sure who is giving these four-star and higher reviews. These photos and reviews must be fake. I came on a Thursday I called on a Saturday morning. Mind you that's only two days I've worn my nails and on the second day I noticed the gel wasn't fully dry inside and it was chipping away. The ladies at the salon knew the gel wasn't drying for my manicure and pedicure, but they kept curing it underneath the light. There are more fingers that look like this. I called them they said to come in which I did and I let them know I don't even live in Hemet. I told them I would like a refund, they started yelling at me and my husband in our face just because I wanted a refund. It was the most disgusting, disturbing and money hungry thing I have ever seen over some nails that they didn't want to refund me for. They stated they don't do refunds but nowhere in their salon stated so they even tried to say that my nails are three days old. How are they three days old if I got them on Thursday and I called Saturday morning, you don't even count the first day you got your nails done. I would definitely not go here go anywhere else but Hemet or San Jacinto nail salons. Maybe there's another nail person there but I keep seeing these two older women and they are so rude and just rather get you in and out. read more

I usually don't post negative reviews, but I can here because they had good reviews and a good overall rating. I specifically asked for acrylic on my pedicure because I know how short my nails were and I wanted my nails to be square but the lady told me no and that my nails would be long enough to file square, but they weren't and they ended up round and stubby. Then the gel polish they used she had to put on multiple coats because it was so watered down On top of that she didn't even try for the massage part of the pedicure which is the best part and took less than a minute to squeeze and pat each foot! This is my second time here at this salon. The only reason they are getting 2 stars instead of 1 is the first time I was here wasn't as bad. My appointment was for 11am for both pedicure and powder for my manicure. I asked to have their package that includes callus remover and the lady who did my pedicure apparently wasn't trained on what that is as she didn't do a good job. The owner had to tell her to do it better.But what upset me the most is that I was told that they don't do both mani -pedi's at the same time. This is their policy because only 3 people work there. It would have been okay if they had told me this when I scheduled the appointment. But they didn't. The owner, Sa, only informed me when I saw her taking walk ins when she was supposed to be doing my nails. The whole experience was unpleasant and I was charged extra for a broken nail that she fixed on my first visit and it broke again. She said she doesn't remember fixing it. And the techs were not only amazing at their craft, but they were very kind to me and my family. My daughter got a pedicure and they were so patient and gentle with her. I usually go to Lisa's nails across the street but they were so busy yesterday so I tried out Hemet nails, it's in the sketchy parking lot but it's actually nice inside ! The guy that did my nails was sooo nice, I'm gonna find out his name & update this for sure. he was even super nice to my friends daughter that got her nails and toes painted ( he even put her difficult sandals on for us) my pedicure was great too!! I always come here to get my eyebrows done. Its very close to my house and the prices are realistic. Walk-in wait time is under 10 minutes which I like. Very friendly staff. Maybe more nail polish options and TV would be nice. The shop could definitely use a makeover with some new decor. I'm sure the change would draw more clients.
