During these updates to The Palm Desert Aquatic Center there are terrific events taking place such as The Nick Nigosian Memorial Car Show! Nick Nigosian's legacy is celebrated through the annual Nick Nigosian Memorial Car Show, which benefits local charities and honors his passion for cars and agriculture. Nick owned a beautiful 1926 Buick, which is featured as a significant part of the car show's 2026 event, marking the car's 100th anniversary! Yikes. It was so silly. We enjoy this place over all. The food is absolutely gross, but somehow we keep buying the chicken strips hoping they will be cooked normal. They try though! All good.

I come here frequently to either play pickle ball with the Yucaipa Pickleball club, take my son to the playground, and even for a date picnic with my wife. The park is well-maintained and the city has invested a lot of money and time into keeping the Park updated and continually making changes based off of the needs and requests of the community. I absolutely recommend bringing your family here for some safe, fun and activities!

There have been a few changes in the past few years here. The dog park is closed but it is my understanding that the city will be reopening it again over by the gazebo area. The skatepark is closed and the covered courts area has been expanded to where the skatepark used to be. Yucaipa's main skatepark is over next to the high school off of 13th street. The new covered area is now home to 4 permanent pickleball courts which makes for an amazing space for youth who may not have their own nets yet and for anyone to come play in the shade. Yucaipa Pickleball Club reserves these courts for club play through the city. Club hours are generally in the mornings and the 4th Saturday of the month. Specific club hours can be found on their website www.yucaipapickleball.com
