I had an extremely disappointing experience with Paradise Pool & Spa Care, who were assigned by my warranty company to inspect my swimming pool heater. The technician, Marty, spent less than a minute looking at the unit before declaring "rodent damage" and refusing to proceed further. There were no signs of rodents -- only normal dust and debris -- but he insisted on reporting it as a rodent issue so the warranty would not cover the repair. When I asked Marty to show me the alleged damage or any proof, he refused, claiming he was "afraid a mouse might jump out." This was both absurd and unprofessional. My regular pool company later confirmed there were no rodents, just a dirty heater in need of servicing. Because of this careless and inaccurate report, my claim was unfairly denied, forcing me to pay out-of-pocket for the repair. It's very clear this company tries to avoid work by blaming rodent infestations instead of doing proper diagnostics. After reading other reviews online, I realized I'm not the only customer who's had this kind of experience -- several others describe similar false claims and poor service. If your warranty company assigns Paradise Pool & Spa Care, request a different provider immediately. I didn't choose this company--they were assigned by my warranty provider to check out my pool heater. Marty showed up quickly and took a look at the unit. He barely opened it for 30 seconds before saying, "No way warranty's gonna cover this!" He claimed there were rodents inside, even though I hadn't seen any. When I asked him to show me, he said he was afraid a mouse might jump out. From what I saw, the inside was just dirty. I offered to clean out the palm tree dates and leaves, hoping we could get a clearer picture. But Marty insisted he had to report what he saw and lectured me about honesty. A few days later, I was shocked to find out my claim was denied because Marty reported a rodent infestation--something he never actually saw. I'd love for him to post the pictures he took and show where these supposed rodents are. Now, I'm paying out of pocket with my regular pool company. They confirmed there were no rodents, though the unit was in rough shape and quite old. Be cautious with Marty. My heater turned on but came up service required. I have a home warranty that covers this equipment and put in a service call. As some of us know with home warranty service, many times service takes a long time and many times excuses are made to not cover items. Not this time! They sent Paradise, they contacted me right away, set up and time window of only 1 1/2 hours and they came right on time! Poor communication, incomplete work, more problems after he finished than when he started, awful customer service Was assigned Paradise Pool & Spa Care by home warranty when our pool and spa heater stopped working. Multiple issues from the very start: 1. Did not respond right away to the request so I reached out to the home warranty company asking what to do. Was then contacted quickly stating he was about to call us (this was a theme). 2. Told me that I must be looking at our app wrong because what I was telling him was impossible regarding spa temp, pool temp, outside temp 3. Came and worked on the heater and left without saying anything or updating us. When I contacted him a couple days later he again said he was just about to call me. Said he was coming back the next day to work on it again. 4. Was told heater needed replacing which was then done and covered by warranty so no issues there but heater showed up with a broken piece (not his fault and solved the next day). The existing pipes after the new installation were now leaking and he said this couldn't have been from him. 5. Was informed a day later that the heater wasnt igniting and we needed to get the gas company out to inspect the line for water. This was done and gas company said that was not the issue. I then told him this and he returned the following day to again work on it, leave and not update us on the status. A couple days later I asked what was happening and he said the same thing about the gas line. I again asked about the leak in water and he ignored it. 6. I asked what I needed to do to fix this and he said it was no longer his problem and that he got us a new heater for the service fee. I asked about the leaking and he again said it was not his problem. I told him I had been pretty patient this far but was getting upset and he has since stopped communicating and will not answer calls. Warranty company resubmitted a recall for him to look at it again and he canceled that order. Would not recommend read more

I called Marty and he was able to tell me exactly what was wrong with it over the phone in a minute! He was going to be in my area the next day and showed up and fixed it in a matter of moments which is unheard of these days.. they all have appts weeks away or unavailable at all. Our homeowners insurance contacted Paradise Pool and spa care and within two business days Marty came out to diagnose the problem. First experience. I left a message for Sheryl at Paradise yesterday. I texted them this morning and received both a texted apology and a call. Marty was short and to the point. I could tell he was extremely busy. I believed I needed warranty service on my panel because it wasn't communicating with my heater. He wanted me to check a setting on the heater before committing to a service call that I may end up being responsible for. He told me exactly what to do and it fixed the problem. I've had 4 other service providers blow me off this week. Paradise was professional and timely. They did have an initial communication problem, but once realized, they immediately responded.
