First of all, the owners of this space are very thoughtful about their events. They are willing to give their clients personalized attention and care. The space provides a very private feel for your events and weddings. I love that it's in nature and a great place to have a intimate experience.

I cannot say enough good things about Hemlock Springs! The venue itself is gorgeous and unique and the staff are phenomenal. We live about two hours away from the venue, so most of our planning was done remotely, and everything went beautifully thanks to Hemlock Spring's communication. We got married here on 11/6/2021 and worked with Ann Marie throughout the year beforehand to plan everything. Ann Marie, Liz, and the rest of the staff at Hemlock are so kind and helpful and go above and beyond to make sure every detail is perfect. On the day of our wedding everything was set up exactly how we had envisioned and we didn't have to stress at all. They were there for everything we needed on the day of and throughout the whole planning process. If we could get married here all over again we would!

We both had Street Tacos and the taste was 9.5 out of 10. They were playing music from a local band called Badness that will be there live tomorrow. I wish we could stay another night to see them. Look, I'm not sure what you're hungry for, what kind of atmosphere you like or what you like to do but you can't go wrong with Thatcher Barbecue Company. I give it 5 stars based on everything, food, ambience and did I mention the food? By the way the bartender was a great guy. Appalachian hospitality at its finest!!! We're from Colorado so I doubt that we will be back soon. If you're a local or passing through like we were you need to check it out.

We ordered pulled chicken with white sauce, hashbrown casserole & green beans for me and a rack of ribs, coleslaw and baked beans for my husband. Everything was great! The chicken was delicious, hashbrown casserole was great and the green beans were seasoned perfectly. My husband was stunned by the portions. The ribs were fall of the bone tender and were smoked to perfection. His sides were good, but he was determined to finish the ribs, so didn't eat all the sides. Two days later he said he was still waking off the ribs!

LGBTQ+ and allies DO NOT support this business. Please see the message I received from Debbie…read moreLittle who works at the venue regarding a lesbian couple who inquired about holding their wedding at the property: Hi June, I seen your message in regards to our company being homophobic. I just wanted to reach out and tell you that as a Christian I love everybody. I honestly do. I don't always agree with all Christians or non-christians. We all have different opinions and those of us who believe in the "World" interprete (sic) it in different ways. When someone comes and is interested in getting married at our venue and they tell me they are gay, I respond telling them that I am not in support of it but they are welcome to rent our venue. I don't think that a gay couple would want to get married at a venue that does not practice gay marriages but if they want to they are welcome to rent our property. I would never go to a Facebook page or any social media and bash the gay community or condemn them for having a difference in opinion. The young lady that called for information a few days ago was gay and also wanted to bring hard liquor onto the property which is against our restrictions. I did tell her that we had a restriction against hard liquor and I told her that I wasn't a supporter of gay relationships and that she was welcome to rent our property. I'm sure you are not a supporter of all things as well.

Beautiful space, great place to hold a venue! Very spacious, I attended a wedding there and it was…read moreelegant and just worked. Saw some art there one time, it was made for art it just works.. like a bouquet on a brunch table. Honestly you could do anything there.. a mixer, a paint and sip, that fits right?? Art and wine..yes please. You could hold a ballroom dancing class, heck you could hold a ball like a gala style benefit. Since I mentioned it perhaps a brunch type thing like from 10-14, everyone likes brunch and mossas maybe toss some puppies in there just for pettin, no.. what about a humane society fashion show, get them all glammed up and showcase them, talk about their likes and dislikes, their aspirations. Bunch of boozy young to middle aged adults high on Prosecco and crepes, lot of happy snooterdoodles getting homes.. why stop there.. maybe you pop an hours on both ends, 9-3 or 4? Of course it would be on Saturday.. duh. Maybe there is a screen set up in a corner of the room with all kinds of cozy bean bag chairs and blankets, pillows. On the screen it's playing nothing but Tom Hanks movies, this event is now from 9-5 so 8 hours of Tom Hank's blockbusters, Turner and Hooch, You've got mail, a man called Otto, Cast Away, and terminal, that lest one doesn't have animals but it is wholesome. For the first half like till 1 ish everyone can watch Tommies movies, snuggle pups and drink classy breakfast cocktails. What of the announcer is a little old man with a bow tie and his name is Hank. Hank Loves dogs and maybe he gets a little emotional when he talks about how bad they need homes.. that's going to tug on some heart strings.. you just drank 4 bloody Mary's and watched Tom fall in love with a stray cat and then Hank Gets up to showcase a poor puppy in need! He talks about how his late wife Darlene loved helping animals and her dying wish was for Hank to be happy and make the world a better place!! He pulls out a HANKerchief and wipes a solitary tear and smiles and says: I have had a wonderful life, and now it's time for Sampson to have a Wonderful life too, and a hopeful volunteer walks out showcasing a needy dog who has a big smile and is wearing a handsome vest, cause he gets a little cold sometimes.. awww. He love sleeping in the bed, under the covers and his favorite treat are little cubed sweet potato bites.. Hank says: he's a good good boi, and I'm hope that someone has it in their heart to give Sampson his forever home, and if you can't have pets then we hope you make a donation. What's this event called you ask? Hankering for Homes, I just got goosebumps typing that.. i hope that someone who has the money and drive finds it in their heart to organize this event, I would really like to attend... I digress, this is a fantastic venue with plenty of possibilities, but let's be honest, it was made for Hankering for Homes.
