After cleaning and painting the garage, we slowly started moving items back into the garage. Have doors open on both ends of the unit was invaluable. It was easy to work with the crew. Terry and his driver were always pleasant and courteous, and I felt I got a good deal with container. I was also impressed by the containers themselves; they the same material that shipping cargo is made of - corrugated metal - and my unit opened on both ends. The warehouse is ginormous, and the containers are stacked. And when you need to get to your things, just give Terry 2 or more days' notice, and he'll have your unit placed on the floor, tagged with your name. He was very flexible and accommodating to my schedule. He's been in the storage business many years. I was in transition, moving from Freeland to Seattle, so this worked out well for me. I eventually ended up moving out of state, and to the very end, he remained very very accommodating to my schedule with the movers. I would certainly do business with him again. His storage was a great find!

I then placed a call to schedule the delivery which was answered by a LIVE person who had just seen my online request. He said "it sounds like you need the container ASAP so if you would like two of them delivered this afternoon we can do that and deliver the other two the following day". And they ACTUALLY followed through on their promise. They were kind, respectful, honest and prompt. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND UNITS located in Kent, WA.

Realizing much of the issue was with UHaul and its procedures, and knowing the clerk was undoubtedly feeding off my frustration, as well as frustrated herself for having to follow such ludicrous directions, I've given an extra star. In a nutshell, believe it or not, despite my name, number and ID matching that of the reservation and my photo ID, I had to provide 2 references who she then called to make sure I was who i was. Neither answered because these days, rarely do people answer unknown calls, but thankfully, she accepted their voice messages as proof I existed. Also, the truck was double-booked for the next day so we were, in a roundabout way, asked to return it early. All in all, check out took 40 minutes. Check IN had to be through their website, with several photos, and with a dying phone battery and wondering how people without smart phones do it, the process took 15 minutes when it should have been a simple key drop. All in all, just shy of a full hour of bureaucracy. UHaul has lost our business.

I was working on my storage unit and didn't leave until about 10:30 PM. The next day, Michelle called us and made a big federal case out of the fact that I didn't leave until 10:30 PM. She was saying how everything was on camera, she side of the exact time that I logged out; she turned it into a federal case. We were really turned off by her militaristic attitude. I wish I had rented from a different storage facility. That's what I get for not reading the yelp reviews first!
