Henderson's restaurant is located on Smith Avenue in Thomasville, Georgia. It is not far from the downtown shopping area. Parking is plentiful and the restaurant has a homestyle feel that makes you feel it's been there for decades. The menu is large, but not so large that it takes more than a single sheet of paper. Henderson's offers breakfast, as well as lunch and dinner. They're open from 6 am - 7:30 pm, and are closed on Sunday, as is most of Thomasville. The breakfast offerings include sandwiches, breakfast in a cup and plated meals. The prices range from $3 - 7, with a few higher priced offerings that include steak. Lunch and dinner options include burgers, sandwiches, salads, soups, chicken tenders, quesadillas and wings. Most options range between $5 - 8, with a few options up to $16. Henderson's is very budget friendly. Service is pleasant and swift. The dining area is fairly a no-frills interior including long tables, stackable type padded chairs and pastel-colored beadboard walls decorated with some large Grateful Dead framed posters. We ordered a burger and a Philly style Cheesesteak. You order at the counter and they call you when your meal is ready to be picked up. Both were served with crinkle cut fries. The food was fast and filling. I preferred the Philly style Cheesesteak, which was juicy and deliicous! The burger bun was a little dried out. The fries were crispy and hot. If you want a budget meal, you cannot beat Henderson's! Next time, we plan to try a couple breakfast options. read more

This place harbors so much nostalgia for me. In middle and high school, my parents would frequently purchase breakfast from here and it was always soooo good! Some summers during undergrad, I'd visit for breakfast also and still be satisfied. However, my most recent visit (12/27/21) did not have the same effect. I ordered my usual: a "breakfast in a cup" with bacon and a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich for my stepdad. While the cup was still piping hot when I arrived home nearly 20-25 minutes later, the grits ruined the meal. They tasted like instant grits. Bland, runny, lacking love. Perhaps it was just a bad day, but I was disappointed nonetheless. I didn't ask my stepdad how his food was, so I can't comment on whether or not the sandwich still holds its value. read more

This was our first (and last) time here. Visiting from out of town and thought it looked decent. It was WAY overpriced first of all. The eggs had no flavor and my brother's sausage casserole tasted and smelled rancid. Something was wrong with it for sure. The "steak" was half the size of my hand and appeared to be boiled. The only thing that was good was the bacon. That was a decent portion and tasted ok. Ordered tap water to drink and was even charged the darn cup. VERY disappointing for the price we paid. read more

They were super busy but very fast in getting up to place our order. Quick on getting our order, all of our food came out hot, fresh and made to order. Dining area was clean. I don't know what else to say but they never disappoint. The only thing I'd have to say is the onion ring batter could be thinner, could hardly taste the actual onion, so that's the reason for the 4 star rating. The french fries were on point today, I wish I'd have ordered those instead. Next time I will. (They are usually a little cold most any other time) We will all definitely be back! Food is good. More of a home style burger joint although their menu is much more extensive with many offerings. I was sorry to see that their dining room was closed and only the drive through was open. It also appears they are letting the restaurant get a bit run down. Don't get me wrong, food is good and worth it if the dining option works for you. read more

Henderson's is my go to "fast food" restaurant, the drive thru is pretty quick but there's indoor options too. All of the food is healthy especially the chicken with no preservatives and all that jazz. The cashier lady is very nice along with the service. 9 FEB 2023 Only the 2nd visit Got the Fried Steak Sandwich today in a Combo through the D/T & drove about 10 minutes before eating. This is the best Fried Steak Sandwich I have had. The Fries were still very hot. The Sweet Tea had a good taste. Will be making more visits here especially with it being a locally owned business. read more

Pork chops, two sides, roll and a drink for less than $15.00. The chops, yes plural, were fried to perfection. No need for a knife and fork, just pick it up and then chow down. The coleslaw was fresh, so fresh you could taste the pickles. The baked beans, also good, I was just too full to enjoy them. read more

Quick breakfast takeout on the way to work. Great bagels, has most breakfast foods and opens early.

Went for breakfast on Saturday, thought we would try this place out, as it was well established and they had breakfast menu. I ordered the sausage and egg casserole, much to my chagrin. I've never heard of egg casserole made with boiled eggs before, and it didn't stand up like a casserole. It was more representative of hog slop that I wouldn't even feed to my hogs! It was standing in about a half inch of grease. Needless to say, we didn't eat what we were given. They didn't offer refunds, and we were okay with that because it was a lesson learned. No frills lunch with large servings. Almost couldn"t finish the Greek Salad. Had lots of feta cheese and veggies. Quick service and prices are reasonable. You order at the counter and take a number to be called. Plenty of seating and parking. No complaints except the cheesy grits side was bland and runny. read more

My rant for the day. I decided to go to Henderson's for lunch. Though they are very inconsistent with their food, and tend to have attitude, their Philly cheesesteak is usually pretty good. I noticed they had Brunswick stew on the menu so, I asked if I could have a sample. The lady snapped with an attitude at me and said no. As we were leaving, I saw the owner so, I went up to him and told him what she had done. He also snapped at me and said we don't give samples, that's a waste of time and product. I don't see how giving your customers a sample before they spend $4.75 for a bowl of soup, is a waste of product. If he is so worried about wasting a little product to satisfy a customer then, I feel I don't need to waste my money going there to eat anymore. read more

I saw a review that said this place was out of business but that isn't the case. I just moved to Thomasville and was hoping to find a place that would be my go to for lunch. This is definitely a contender. It reminds me of a nicely decorated, quaint little fishing shack. The prices are good and staff is very friendly. The food here is awesome. There salads are amazing and so are there buffalo wings I eat here at least once or twice a week and have been coming here since I was a little girl.
