"I've been taking my 2010 Lexus IS250C to Hendrick Lexus Service Center in Charleston for routine maintenance ever since I moved from California two years ago and have always been satisfied--until today. Recently, I noticed that my right-side mirror was loose, although the motor was still functioning. I explained to my service consultant, Chase Fraser, that the mirror's motor was fine and the issue seemed to be a loose compression clip (something I saw how to fix on YouTube). I was given a loaner car, assuming the repair might take some time. About 90 minutes later, I received a call from Chase, who informed me that the entire mirror assembly needed replacement and quoted me $1,250 for the repair, with the part needing to be ordered in about three days. I declined the service and returned the loaner. Upon leaving the dealership, my car's dashboard alerted me that the hood hadn't been properly latched. Needless to say, I was very disappointed with this visit. When I got home, my son, who had also seen the same YouTube video, was able to fix the mirror himself with just a screwdriver, pipe wrench, and mallet, simply tightening the clip as I originally suspected. It's disheartening to think that they would misdiagnose something so simple and attempt to charge such an outrageous price. I'll be looking for an honest mechanic from now on. I expected better, and I find it appalling that they would try to take advantage of a senior woman in this way."

Exceptional customer service in both the sales and service departments! Micheal in sales is great. He's friendly and personable. Even when coming just to check out my options, he was attentive and patient. He thoroughly explained the vehicle's features and what can be added. He was also super patient when I wanted to a million pictures of/with it. The day after we purchased my vehicle, I came back to sit with Matt in the tech department. We went through all of the vehicle's features and he answered all my questions. He was super helpful and patient. The check engine light came on soon after getting my car :( Nick in the service department was great. He was pleasant to work with. He kept me updated throughout the process and the issue was resolved quickly. Every purchase comes with a branded umbrella, which is definitely needed in Charleston! I absolutely love my RX 350! & I love the customer service this dealership offers.

If you are shopping for a Lexus I recommend BILL LEE - he will answer every question and if not he'll find the answer. BILL LEE went the extra mile to see that we were satisfied with our purchase. In addition to the great service provided by BILL LEE, JARED YOUNG also did a great job in the service department explaining the service warranty/paperwork for the NX 300 we recently purchased from BILL LEE. In addition to JARED YOUNG assisting with our NX 300 JARED YOUNG also was happy to help with questions I had about the RC-F we purchased out of state last year. Two professionals I'd recommend if you need assistance with your Lexus are BILL LEE and JARED YOUNG !! SUPER !! P.S. I was less than happy with David Wagoner F&I dept. He wasn't interested in finding us the best rate. He said fifth third bank had a good rate so he was gonna go with them till I asked about Lexus Financial so he went back and checked and came back as and said it was lower - my guess Hendrick gets more kickback [dealer reserve] from fifth third so Hendrick throws more business their way. Not in the customers best interest !! PLUS, my insurance agent sent two emails to David asking for lienholder information so they had proof of insurance - no response - my agent finally had to contact me to try to motivate david to respond. It's been over a week since the purchase.

Excellent customer service...Wilbur and David they're both were very nice and friendly...finally got my First Lexus....thanks again

When I got to the Charleston location, they notified us that it was ready who went to go pick it up. No one that was currently working. Could explain anything about how to get certain things to operate. They didn't have the time for us, and they didn't give a crap. So we signed off on the vehicle and drove off, assuming that we could get it figured out. By the next day we had come to the conclusion that the two main installed the functions that we ordered the car for or not actually installed. I understand we have a 10 day. But this was a very rare vehicle. The color was highly unique. The rest of the option set was fairly unique. The price the miles everything fit the bill. All they were able to do, or willing to do was give us $1000 off the price the vehicle. It's gonna cost us $4500 or more to get it installed at a dealership that can do the work. Unacceptable. Let's add to that that after we got home with the vehicle, we discovered it was nasty on the inside underneath the seats. And it was the bottom side of it hadn't been cleaned off. There were some kind of oily residue on one of the back windows. And they wanted to give us $50 to have a professionally cleaned. All around experience, not worth the hassle. We used CarMax because we could order and pay for everything online and they even managed to screw that up too. There is absolutely no concern from the corporate headquarters on fixing the problem, and refused to give us any peace of mind that they would try to correct the issue moving forward for any future customers. So beware if you use CarMax at any given location, you're probably gonna get incomplete service and pour attitudes. If I could give negative stars, I would

DO NOT purchase a vehicle from this dealership…read more I bought an Acura RDX from them and within three days of having by it, problems started surfacing. Before the sale, I was assured the vehicle had "passed a 182-point inspection" and had a "clean history." Those claims could not have been further from the truth. Concerned, I took the vehicle to a local Acura dealership for a thorough evaluation. The result? Nearly $6,000 worth of necessary repairs that should have been identified -- and addressed -- before the vehicle was ever listed for sale. These were not minor cosmetic issues; they were significant problems that directly impact safety, reliability, and value. What's most disappointing is the dealership's response afterward. Management has been unwilling to take responsibility, acknowledge the oversight, or make any meaningful effort to resolve the situation. Once the paperwork was signed, their customer service disappeared entirely. If you value transparency, integrity, and accountability, look elsewhere. The promises made during the sales process did not match the reality of the vehicle, and the lack of post-sale support speaks volumes about how this business operates.

The young lady that worked with me did an absolute phenomenal job! Very attentive, a lot of active listening, very professional. I was recommended to her by her colleague after he noticed he wasn't successful in selling or convincing me to purchase a car. & Although it didn't work out with him, he didn't let me leave feeling hopeless with no luck, which was appreciated. With the young lady, she was very understanding & sympathetic with my situation and together we found a car. I came back on Monday, April 14th 2025 to pay the down payment totaling $1100, I left with my car happy asf! April 18th, 4 days later, the car was giving me shaking & vibration in the seat, steering wheel and floor base at 50/55mph, but later went away. April 21st, the vibration & shaking returned. I called DriveTime to let them know about this and was recommended to take the car to Firestone on Savannah Highway so that they can file a claim with Silver Rock, who the warranty is through if there are mechanical failure during my 30 day warranty. This specific location was highly recommended by the guy at DriveTime & I quote "I highly recommend the Savannah Highway location because they're more familiar with Silver Rock and how they operate". (THEY ABSOLUTELY SUCK! but that's a different story for a different review) I scheduled my appointment & took my car there on April 26th. Explained to them what was the issue, 4hrs later I left with a wheel bearing replacement, the one that was on the car was ready to pop, per the technician/mechanic. April 29th 2025, I took my car back because the same problem occurred, I was then advised that the car would be kept overnight to have the brake pads & rotors replaced, parts had to be ordered. After having the services completed, my brakes squeaked so bad it sounded like a school bus & the dang car still was shaking at a certain speed! Atp I'm irritated. May 16th, 2 days past my 30day warranty mark at $0 deductible, my engine light started blinking as I was driving and my car began jerking/hesistating and stalling to accelerate past 40mph. I immediately took the car to Firestone who told me that I couldn't be seen for service until Monday or Tuesday (5/19 - 5/20). Drive time was just down the road so I made my way there but stopped by AutoZone for the engine like check & was given a P1326 code. I got to DriveTime where I was told there was nothing they could do because they don't have the authority. I was provided the contact number for their customer sales relations department. I received a case manager and suggested places to take my car anywhere else in network other than Firestone. Took it to precision tune who ran their diagnostic test & told me about the code P1326, Replace Engine Block Assembly! Pretty much the engine was no good! because there was 0 oil in it and its been that way at the time of purchase. Till this day I am praying and hoping that a new engine is not needed because the warranty is giving me a hard time with coverage. I absolutely regret purchasing this vehicle with DriveTime! And no I won't be recommending the business to anyone. I chose to keep everyone's name anonymous, but I do know every last one that I had an encounter with. All down to the mechanics at Firestone. To know me is to know I'm big on reviews and I'm very thorough with the ones I give! Shop at your own risk, LITERALLY! ** update .. the engine has to be replaced

I didn't understand why the dealer listed price out there online wasn't the same price at the dealership. (of course I know why but it's unethical.) I left and bought a two year old Explorer Limited elsewhere for $15k less than the new base models. I love it!
