I've been taking my kids to this dental office for about 15 years, and while I've never had an issue with the doctors themselves, the front desk and billing staff have been consistently rude and unprofessional. Recently, I was told suddenly that I had an unpaid balance from last year, and they claimed it had been sent to collections!! But I never received any letters, emails, or calls about it. I always pay co-pays up front and have receipts, so this was really confusing especially that I've always paid hundreds to thousands of dollars on top of my kids insurance and never hesitated not to pay upfront. During the last call, the staff member spoke to me in a rude and dismissive way, which felt discriminatory. There was no effort to explain the charges clearly, and instead of helping they threatened to cancel my child's appointment. I expect professionalism and clarity, especially when it comes to billing and sensitive financial matters. Based on this experience, I seriously considering moving my kids to another practice and will never go back to them. read more

I would definitely give a ZERO star if there is an option!!! The staff are horrible! First they messed up my appointment time and when I got there, they said I have to reschedule! WHAT! When the nurse called my name, they said I have a balance. So I asked for the statement and they printed something explained nothing. This is the first time I was told that I have a balance. They never mailed me or emailed me. They obviously over charged so the insurance company wouldn't cover it. So they ask me to pay over 100 dollars for a filling. This reminds me when they did it the dentist and the nurse were chatting all the time. Care nothing about the patient! Staff is miserable, Dr Hendricks used to be decent, now he runs a mill with terrible staff, incompetent dentists, and forced to file a lawsuit for malpractice. Needed braces 3 months after they removed them. Refuses to refund, refuses to admit they screwed up. Just a bad practice. read more

The last two times that I've taken my son for cleanings have been bad experiences. 6 months ago when he went in for a cleaning they took him back and proceeded to "forget him" (their words) for 45 minutes. We decided to go back one more time today for a routine cleaning. They claimed we no longer had insurance (we have had the exact same insurance for 12 years) and when they finally realized they were wrong they told us they would have us seen quickly. One hour later they had still not taken my son back (but had taken back multiple others with later appointments). They refused to take any accountability. We finally walked out and look forward to changing dentists. There are too many good options in the Franklin area to settle. read more

Awful experience, my husband had a crown that was not done properly and had to be redone at another office. Insurance was not filed correctly, they said they could not submit a claim through the primary insurance which was required first for dental insurance to pay for routine cleaning, yet other family member's insurance was submitted and paid. I would not go here and if you do be ready to pay out of pocket as they just recently contacted me saying we owe for this service that was done 9/22/2020. read more

I brought my teen daughter here after a traumatic experience with another well known pediatric dentist in the area. I did not tell anyone there about the issue at the last place because I didn't want it to prejudice her care and after the last incident, I was distrustful. My daughter absolutely LOVED Dr. Alex. She was kind and friendly and was honest about the work that needed to be done (almost NOTHING compared to what the other dentist said!). She also likely could have made some good money by putting braces on her (or sending her to a colleague who would) as the other dentist had been telling us for years how badly my daughter needed braces (even though I could not visually see why. I thought there might be an underlying reason that I could not see). Dr. Alex said my daughter teeth were perfect, beautiful and she would never think of putting braces on them. After such a bad experience, I thought I would never be able to trust another dentist, but I was wrong and I am glad I was! read more

On November 7, 2016 I took my 8 year old daughter to have a spacer put in because while trying to fill a cavity Dr. ALEXANDRA drilled right to a nerve and the had to pull her one of her 12 year molars. My daughter is always nervous for her appointments with Dr. ALEXANDRA but this time was different and I just could not figure out why. I told her that everything would be fine and it would be over before you know it. I also told her that I would go back with her even though they NEVER allow the parents to go beck I told her I told. Well when it comes time for her to go back of course she was crying by now and I explained that I dental hygienist that I want to come in the back and she said like she has said many times its against out policies, I explained that my daughter was extremely nervous and I was coming back or I was finding another dentist. So the hygienist went and got the office manager and I again explained to her that I would be coming back with my daughter because she was so upset and nervous about this visit. After it was all said and done I was allowed to go and sit with my daughter in the room until the hygenist came in and they assured me that she would be all right even though she was still in tears and that I would have to leave because they were going to put the gas on her. So after about an hour my daughter returns to the waiting room with tears in her eyes and she is not closing her mouth the dental hygienist explain to me that it was normal and that she would have to get used to the space and that she would eventually close her mouth. To make a long story short my daughter was unable to eat or drink anything that night the next morning I took her to the ER for dehydration and she was not able to talk at all they ended up admitting as into Williamson County Children's Hospital where they had to put a tube down her throat so that she was able to eat and drink for an entire week she had to eat through this too it would not say a word to anybody they brought in a psychiatric children dr. Enterprise speaking to my daughter he found out that she had a traumatic experience and that she was having PTS Syndrome from the dentist visit. That she was so traumatized from the visit that her body is shut down and her brain is sending their signals to her and she is does not know how to cope with it. My daughter has been in counseling since the beginning of November and is now having to take an anti-anxiety medication because of her visit to the dentist office. And it has come out and her counseling visits that during all of her dentist visits a dental hygienist would hold her arms down and another would hold her head and they were opened her mouth so wide that it would hurt her dolls and she was too afraid to say anything to me or anyone because the dental hygenist told her that she will get in trouble and that she was the cause of all this. I've been going to Brentwood Pediatric Dental Specialists since my daughter was a toddler but we would always see a different dentist never again will not return to this office and I am in the process a pressing legal charges for excessive force on my child I do not recommend anyone to go to this office and I am extremely hurt that they would treat any one's child the way they treated mine. read more

I love this place...we have taken all of our children here for years & their services are always consistent. The staff is helpful & polite. They always answer the phones when you call. The facility is clean & neat. The fish tank is a great eye catcher & good for the kids to enjoy. The dentists are so nice & actually treat you like humans unlike some other dentists we have been to before. Dr. Brannon & Dr. Hendricks are always so great to our family! The pediatric side is ok, but the dentist on general dentistry side was not very friendly, I was completely overcharged for my mouth guard (my husband got his at another place for half the price at the same quality), and a procedure I did not need was recommended (I got a second opinion and found out the procedure was unwarranted). The lady at the front desk was very rude and did not contact me after I called several times to inquire about insurance coverage and to set up my appointment for the procedure I supposedly needed (I am glad she didn't return my phone calls now that I know I did not need it). Dr. Brannen and the staff at Brentwood Dental Specialists were absolutely wonderful on Monday morning. As a new patient with an emergency situation, they fit me in at the last minute, took excellent care of me and Dr. Brannen made time in his schedule for a second procedure that day. The staff there were very kind and very accommodating. Very understanding and sympathetic to my severe pain as well. Dr. Brannen took time out of his day the very next day to personally call me to make sure I was doing okay after a root canal. I'll absolutely be back and refer friends/family to Dr. Brannen! read more

Love this practice. They are very nice and even helped squeeze me in once when I got my dates mixed up so I wouldn't have to reschedule. I always go back with my kids when they get their cleanings, X-rays, consultations. The hygienists are SO nice and the dentist is the best ever. I have friends that take their kids here from way on the other side of town and their recommendation holds up. read more

Both my children have seen them since they got their first tooth. Dr Nathan usually works on my daughter and she loves him. Dr Alexandria usually works on my son. He loves her too. They are very friendly and make the kids balloon animals at their visits. They have tvs on every chair and is set to nickelodeon. This office is convenient because one side is the pediatric dental and the other side is the orthodontic side. Dr Robert is the orthodontist. Dr Alexandria and Dr Robert are married and very sweet. They are all definitely about the kids and they do a wonderful job with them. I use to live 20 minutes from them but have since moved almost an hour from them and yes, I make the drive because my kids love them and a comfortable with them. Totally worth it! Very disorganized and rude front desk/ insurance verification person for appointment with my special needs adult son. I was asked for insurance information via text message very late in the afternoon day before appointment. I was able to respond and text back insurance information. Then when we arrived I was told their server was down yesterday and I could either pay total upfront or reschedule appointment. I was then rudely questioned about why I didn't respond more quickly yesterday. I had to ask for her supervisor to get straightened out. This is a shame because we have always had a good experience with Dr. Bannon. He is always very kind and patient with our son. read more

Front desk receptionists is rude ! They gossip about people in the waiting room. A few act so snotty like they are royalty! Don't call and verify a appointment a month early because the receptionist will bite your head off and scream at you on the phone ! The dentist are great and I wouldn't have left but I can't take front desk and their mouths ! When you arrive be prepared to wait until they get off their cell phones or finish their giggling conversations before they greet you or let you sign in ! read more

Liars. I got a second opinion on the three cavities they claimed my son had, and he had no cavities according to the second dentist (who did not charge for the exam). I asked for a copy of my son's X-rays "proving" his cavities, and they never emailed me the release form for obtaining them. I'm considering pursuing them for medical malpractice. Hello, I am a teenager and my father has been taking me and my three younger siblings here for a few years now. When we walk in past the main desk and behind a door that leads to the rooms where we get our tears cleaned, there is a very creepy unsettling fake dolphin head stick out of a "cracked" wall near the top with huge teeth and a mad look in its eyes. Anyway they finished cleaning my teeth and the actual Doctor Alexandria came in to do a final checkup. She inspected my mouth and I told her about my loose canine tooth, which I had tried loosening but caused a lot of pain even when I simply twisted it lightly. She asked me if she could "flick it out" and I told her no, and got very worried that she would ignore my request and flick it out to show me how easy it would be. So I lightly placed my hand on her hand to make sure she didn't try to remove the tooth, and she got very angry very fast and told me "Get your hand off of me right now young man, do you hear me? Let go right now!" In an extreme tone. So I lowered my hand and let her finish before we left. I was surprised someone could switch moods so fast at a kid. I don't trust her anymore. Dr. Nathan doesn't act very kind but he isn't bad. Most of the people that do checkups and basic teeth work are nice, which is why this isn't a 1 star review, but a few of them seem like instead of helping kids be healthy they are completing a chore. I had a checkup last week and they said I had two cavities, but I feel no pain when chewing on any of my teeth, and i can't see any black spots or noticeable "holes" in any of my teeth. I am going to another dentist to get a second opinion, and this is the same thin that happened to Nick if you look at his previous review. read more

I pulled all three kids from this practice after they moved to their new Taj Mahal facility. I never liked their policy to bar parents from the treatments area and had never encountered this in my life. At their original facility, I told the nurse I was coming back there with my 5-year-old, and they were not happy about it. I sat on a bench in the back of the room and did not interfere with their treatment in any way, but I did not like the way they were disengaged from the patients. It was gossip time, with very little interaction with the kids. Our experience with the ortho side was equally distasteful. Once I insisted on coming back with my son in the new facility, I noticed that the orthodontist never even greeted the kids, he just flitted back and forth from their chairs as he worked on them. There is very much an assembly line feel about this place, and everything about it, from the gas lamps at the entrance to the autographed pro jerseys in the treatment room, screams "here's what your braces paid for." Parents, please know that you do not have to sit in the waiting room while your child is worked on, and you can shop around for dentists just like you would any other service. read more

Definitely do not recommend this dentists office. Although the ladies at the front desk are very welcoming and great, the whole experience was not that delightful. Some members of the staff were rude and uninterested in appropriately caring for my child. The dental hygenists made my young child uncomfortable because they talked between each other the whole time about personal things; it is concerning whether they are actually paying attention to doing the job properly. The wait for seeing the doctor was extremely lengthy and honestly not worth the information recieved. I think there are much better dentist offices out there more interested in giving superb care. read more

If you want to be treated like cattle this is the perfect place to go. My child was a little apprehensive about the dentist and the dental assistant did not add to that fear, she had absolutely no bed side manner and spoke to my child as if he were a dog. When I brought this to the attention of the office manager, because I figured that she should be made aware of how rudely we were treated, she pretty much blamed children for not being easy patients to deal with (duh, but you operate a children's pediatric dentistry, you literally signed up to only work with children). The dental assistant treated me like absolute garbage, she acted very annoyed by my questions regarding my sons treatment. He had two teeth extracted and was terrified, they wouldn't allow me back there, and I know why now. My son said that they yelled at him, and were very mean during the procedure. He's now terrified of the dentist .. which is awesome (eyeroll). I've never written a bad review in my life, and I work in the customer service industry. I know when a bad experience is actually worth noting (this was my third bad experience with this office). Don't waste your time or money here. You're nothing but a number to this dental office. read more
