We decided to move forward, and we left it up to him to provide and plant what was needed to create a perfect space that was both functional for entertainment and really pleasant to just relax and enjoy. Gio and his team did not disappoint. He met (and exceeded) our expectations, and stuck to the schedule and budget. And he didn't just create planter areas and new lawn, he also installed a paver walkway to match our existing patio stones. We struck a deal with him for ad hoc service, because nothing grows in the dry months of summer. However, we had a "no-call, no-show" during the rainy season when he had told us multiple weeks in a row that he would come by. When he finally showed up weeks later, he decided to charge us TWICE for overgrowth. Had he shown up the first time he said he would, that would not have happened. It seems he decided our business was no longer worth his time, so he decided to extract the most cash he could from us before we moved on. Needless to say, I cannot recommend Lona's to anyone after this experience.

They quoted us $450 for the repair, which entailed cutting off our sprinkler where it was rusted galvanized steel and replacing it with PVC pipe. This in turn ended up re routing our system, rending a large chunk of our sprinkler system useless, due to the steel not being able to be connected to the original system unless we wanted to pay for more repairs. We were quoted around the same (around $500) to connect our sprinkler system again so it would work, on top of the original repair, in which we did not move forward. At first, I was fine with a quote of $450 assuming it was going to be a complicated repair with fancy parts but when I saw the work that was done, it changed my mind. Total labor time was maybe 30 minutes and it was simply digging up where the sprinkler was broken and rerouting the pipe with about $15 worth of PVC and that was it. The gentlemen who came out were kind and helpful so I don't like to leave bad reviews however I feel like we were totally ripped off and charged way more than appropriate to the point where I feel extremely silly I didn't call around to other places and feel like we got played. And now we have a system that does not work. I would highly suggest you call around before going with these guys.

Moreover, he sued my family for non-payment of work he completed on neighbor's property under trespass after he erected a planter without permission using highly flammable, creosete soaked railroad ties in the wake of a wildfire. What's more than that, he was sent the Zone Zero parameters that explicitly forbid such materials. Think twice before trusting the 5 star reviews here as most would be intimidated by the threat of defamation and bullying we have endured for over a year. Moreover, 7 out of 13 purported 5 star reviews have fewer than 5 reviews posted on Yelp. This is a contractor who creates fake mechanics lien's and delivers on Thanksgiving, has private investigator who target wealthy family's at Christmas time, and sues clients for work done under trespass whom he's already charged $65,000 over the estimate without a single work change order - who paid that overage without question. The only item we wouldn't pay for was flammable planter done under trespass on neighbor's property. For that, Bob Duarte is suing 80 year olds with dementia and cancer in the immediate wake of the Palisades Fire. National Greens charges an illegal 70% deposit and many other CSLB violations that objectively show he has no respect for the justice system or rule of law in the United States. I post this review to protect the vulnerable residents in hazard zones from the targeted torment we've endured for over a year.
