We had a sprinkler bust next to our house and we called around to a few businesses and Jonakee was one of the only responsive ones and quick to come out. They quoted us $450 for the repair, which entailed cutting off our sprinkler where it was rusted galvanized steel and replacing it with PVC pipe. This in turn ended up re routing our system, rending a large chunk of our sprinkler system useless, due to the steel not being able to be connected to the original system unless we wanted to pay for more repairs. We were quoted around the same (around $500) to connect our sprinkler system again so it would work, on top of the original repair, in which we did not move forward. At first, I was fine with a quote of $450 assuming it was going to be a complicated repair with fancy parts but when I saw the work that was done, it changed my mind. Total labor time was maybe 30 minutes and it was simply digging up where the sprinkler was broken and rerouting the pipe with about $15 worth of PVC and that was it. The gentlemen who came out were kind and helpful so I don't like to leave bad reviews however I feel like we were totally ripped off and charged way more than appropriate to the point where I feel extremely silly I didn't call around to other places and feel like we got played. And now we have a system that does not work. I would highly suggest you call around before going with these guys. read more

I hired Jonakee Landscaping in the fall of 2024 and have been so happy with them. I have artificial turf, so the focus is on my planters to keep the plants trimmed and the soil clean from weeds. They are not a mow, blow & go company! Joaquin came over, looked at my backyard, spoke with me for maybe 15 minutes about my vision for the yard. He seemed like he knew what he was doing so I skipped the step of using a service such as Yardzen ($1000+) to design my yard. Boy did I make the right decision...he completely nailed it, with some nice touches I wouldn't have even thought of. The work was done promptly, communication was good. When my initial estimate was a bit over budget, he found creative ways to get me what I wanted while getting a price more in line with what I was looking to pay. He installed irrigation for all the plants, and had a connect for electrical as well. He also noticed there was an area that would allow rainwater down into my foundation and helpfully suggested installing a concrete curb to keep the water out. You can't afford NOT to hire Jonakee--with an undertaking of this size, you need someone who will get it right the first time, which is exactly what they did. Check out the before after pics below. They are dedicated, talented, reliable and very reasonable when it comes to pricing out a job fairly. Our most recent project was to design and add a lovely garden that didn't require much watering in one section of our back yard. It contains native flowers and shrubs, as well as a small Meyer lemon tree and a pathway that walks through the garden. We had several trees and large bushes that needed to be carefully trimmed. Alex, the owners son, responded to my request for quote quickly and we arranged for him to come out. He was prompt, gracious and did not try to sell us anything we hadn't asked for but did give us feedback on what or would not be healthy for our trees etc. when he came out with his crew he supervised their work.
