From the moment I called Rex Glass, the man on the phone was extremely friendly and helpful. I was able to give him the dimensions of the mirror, and he gave me a quote over the phone. Coming from the South Hills, it was a little hike (hike as in 25 minutes) to get to this location. When I arrived, the same man gave me a quote that was a little higher once he saw the mirror in person. He agreed to go down in price, based off of our initial phone conversation, which I thought was pretty awesome (only a few bucks, but still!) They repaired the mirror in no time. I received a text to come pick up the mirror, and when I did, I was extremely pleased with how it turned out! It looked original, like nothing had happened! Very thankful I found this place, hoping I don't have to use them in the future for mirror repairs! They do have beautiful shower doors, etc. They are much more than just a mirror replacement business, that's just what I used them for. Family owned, support local business! Following covid-19 guidelines with plexiglass, and face coverings. 100% recommend.

The guy really listen to me ensured me they would handle all my concerns, and of course I would end up happy with the work. They came to do the initial on-site walk through, which is done prior to installation. Our guy didn't speak any English (not to be that person). He couldn't answer any of or question, he was asking us questions we couldn't understand, measuring things and what have you. Me and my husband were really concerned that the language barrier was going to cause issue with the installation. AND WE WERE RIGHT! I immediately called stating my concerns with the language barrier and how we couldn't understand anything and we want to make sure things will be done right. They yet again ensure us that everything would be handled correctly. THEY WERE WRONG! Installation day is here. They guys worked their asses off from 9am-5pm. We went out offered waters and if they needed anything but of course no one speaks English and couldn't understand anything we were saying. It time for the final walk through.... Gates are swinging outwards which we had ask for them to swing inwards so it didn't interfere with our neighbor property, locks don't work and placed wrong (anyone from the outside can just open it right up. So my security issue was clearly not taken seriously). I have asked them if they can fix the locks and gates and still waiting for a reply to this day. OHHHH..make sure you double check the permits. They charged us $100 and said they would handle all permits. Are zoning officer came out to inspect since the called for an 811 and he said that no one ever reached out to get the proper permits. Which mind you, the consultant reach out and told me they didn't need a certain permit and when I questioned this they told me their permit team would handle it. Well they never did and I finally got my $100 back as we had to go to the council and immediately apply for a permit which also cost us $40.00. Check your area first, might save you some money! I tried to get ahead of these issue yo avoid all of this and they just kept saying they would handle everything and ensured me it would be done correctly. I'm just frustrated with this whole process and now I'm waiting to hear back about fixing these gates, which I have a feeling I will be doing myself. I will escalate the gate issue if I don't hear anything back but honestly I don't see them coming out to fix it. Overall, communication sucks!! If you're worried about something, chances are it will end up as a problem. Trying to get problems fixed is a struggle! After all the resource and companies I called, a part of me wishes I would have went with my first option. However choose this company cause of pricing and how quickly they were able to fit us in to get the job done.

Day of he was done earlier than he anticipated AND the cost was less than the estimate. Very fair but even the estimate was fair. I'd use the shop again if I ever had a need. Only thing was he suggested not dropping the car off the night before so I had to work my schedule around a morning drop off.

They worked on removing old drop ceiling and out dated wall paneling with brand new plasterboard throughout the house. They were efficient with great attention to detail! Our basement was a hodgepodge of three different floorings, one drop and one conventional ceiling,…read moreand two walls in the laundry area covered in plastic by a waterproofing company. Jason and his team renovated the whole basement by installing drywall, replacing the drop ceiling with a conventional ceiling and new lighting, and covering the entire floor with functional but attractive laminate. They went above and beyond to make sure we were involved in the design and satisfied with the results. In addition, they replaced our kitchen floor, which had some water damage, with beautiful ceramic tile to complement the existing quartz counters. This is the second major project Jason has done for us. He previously remodeled a bathroom for us, replacing all the fixtures and flooring, as well as installing a pocket door. We are very happy with all the work that was done and would highly recommend Building Buddies.
