However my color completely faded in just three weeks after my appointment. When I reached out, I was immediately blamed for using "non-salon products" and denied any form of discount or correction. The issue is that I was never told, at ANY point, that the results depended on purchasing or using specific salon products. There was no verbal explanation, written policy, or disclaimer stating that using anything else would void any kind of guarantee. The products I used were clearly labeled sulfate-free and color-safe, + owned by a professional line, so it's unreasonable to suggest they alone caused such drastic fading. While some fading is expected with blonde, this was excessive and not consistent with what most clients would expect from a professional service. What stands out most is the lack of accountability and unwillingness to offer any kind of compromise. Instead of working toward a solution, I felt dismissed and blamed for something that was never properly communicated in the first place. To make matters worse, instead of continuing a professional conversation about resolving the issue, I was removed from her Instagram, which felt unprofessional and avoidant. A bit of high school level maturity on her part to be blatantly honest. I can't say that I am surprised with the maturity level. Due to the fact that while I was waiting to be sat in the chair, Hayley was bad mouthing a potential client to another hairstylist in the salon, in front of other clients. Not a very smart or professional choice to make infront of a new client about to get their hair done. Clear expectations, basic customer service, and integrity should be standard. Even before I talk about the color I want to lift up that a) they use tech really well (I'm on Zoom calls from one end of the day to the other so picking up the phone and calling someone is super difficult for me most days). They responded to my inquiry through Yelp immediately, forwarded my request on to their stylists, and I had an appointment set up within a half hour max. Ended up with Stephanie and she was wonderful! While she was putting the color in I noticed she didn't apply any protective gel or vaseline ahead of time to protect my skin from the dye. I just figured, "Well, I'm not going to see anyone today, if I'm walking around with a dye headband, it's fine." Well, she didn't NEED to put anything on my skin to protect it because she's that good at what she does! The color came out great -- very natural and healthy looking, and really shiny. And not one drop of dye anywhere except for on the roots where it belonged. On top of all this, Stephanie was super nice, as was everyone who worked there. Loved the ambience, too -- the music was sort of 70s classic rock as was the decor. I'm hoping to be out in this area again in the coming year, and definitely plan to go back to them!
